Chapter 105 - Chapter 99

"Sigh—"

The small black dot in the distance gradually revealed its true form, and everyone who saw it clearly widened their eyes in shock. A collective gasp swept through them. Their faces filled with disbelief as they stared at the gigantic armor gleaming silver in the sunlight.

Harry watched the incoming armor with a solemn expression. His spider-sense had been flaring ever since this thing first appeared. All he could feel now was the violent, raging aura rushing closer—hostile, oppressive, enough to make him narrow his eyes.

It was a steel monstrosity. The silver plates along its body shone with a cold brilliance. Its giant size should have limited its movement, but the speed at which it approached crushed that assumption instantly.

"It seems very powerful." Harry tightened his fists. The pressure from the Destroyer exceeded even what he felt during his brief clash with the Hulk.

"Chi—chi—"

The Destroyer stepped before them, the air popping and bursting from the sheer force of its arrival.

Only now did the thing show its complete form.

The armor gleamed with a metallic silver sheen. Each long segment of metal linked into the next—not appearing particularly thick at a glance, yet Harry knew that every thin seam was filled with divine energy. Odin's craftsmanship far surpassed any earthly metal.

"Run, Thor. We'll buy you time," Schiffer said. As an Asgardian, she knew exactly what this armor was—Odin's personal construct, the Destroyer. Even if Odin was not controlling it, even an empty Destroyer was not something she or the warriors could truly fight. But they could delay it… Though the price would likely be their lives.

"No. I'm staying. It came for me. I should face it. Even if I'm only mortal now, I am still the son of the King of Gods—Thor."

Thor pulled Schiffer aside and stepped forward with firm resolve.

"Good! Thor, I'll fight with you, haha!" Vostagg laughed and lifted his axe, taking his place beside him.

"Me too," Hogan said, stepping forward.

"And me," Fandral added, joining the line.

The Three Warriors of Asgard had always centered around Thor—and so had Schiffer.

Schiffer gripped her sword, her tense expression finally steadying under Thor's resolve. She lowered the blade, took a deep breath, and said, "Me too."

Thor grinned and patted her shoulder.

"Good."

"However…" Schiffer turned to Thor with a stern gaze. "When we face the Destroyer's next strike, you must stay behind us."

Thor frowned, but Schiffer's unyielding eyes left him no room to protest. He exhaled and said, "Alright. I promise."

Watching this—whether camaraderie or something more ambiguous—Harry glanced at Jane Foster. Her expression showed nothing unusual, so he dropped the matter entirely.

"Bang."

"Bang."

"Bang."

The ground trembled under the Destroyer's steps. Everyone refocused on the incoming threat.

"Thor! Take them back!" Schiffer shouted, giving Harry a quick side glance before raising her sword and leaping forward to charge the Destroyer.

"As expected." Watching their incredible speed, Harry nodded to himself. In reality, Asgardians truly lived up to the title of gods—they were at least four times stronger than an average human. But even so, compared to Thor or Loki, the warriors' stats didn't matter enough for Harry to check.

"Dr. Selvig, Miss Foster, Miss Lewis—you should retreat with Thor. This place is going to get very dangerous." Harry said lightly.

The warriors were already charging the Destroyer. It was not yet Harry's turn to act. He didn't intend to disrupt the plot—he only wanted to test the Destroyer's power.

"What about you?" Daisy Lewis asked nervously.

"I? Haha." Harry raised an eyebrow and chuckled, not answering further.

"Alright," Thor said, then immediately ran back with the three humans in tow.

The first clash with the Destroyer unfolded exactly as Harry expected. The three warriors and Schiffer were completely suppressed.

The metal plating on the Destroyer's face shifted—its visor opening. But instead of hollow armor within, a blinding red glow began to condense and brighten.

That glow wasn't mere light—it was molten, magma-like fire, radiating palpable danger. The energy gathered there surged violently, illuminating the armor with a terrible brilliance.

"Move! He's about to attack!" Vostagg roared. He leapt high, swinging his massive axe down toward the Destroyer.

"Chi—chi—chi—"

"Boom!"

A scorching beam erupted from the Destroyer's newly opened faceplate. It tore through the air with a shrill ripping sound, leaving behind a burning stench that stung the nose.

But there were no casualties. The Destroyer's first target was Thor, and its entire focus was on him. The warriors, charging straight in, easily avoided the beam. Thor had already brought Jane and the others into a building. The Destroyer lacked clairvoyance; its attack only demolished rows of structures, harming no one.

"Ding—!"

A sharp metallic ring echoed as Vostagg's giant axe struck the Destroyer's arm.
