Chapter 148 - Chapter 147: The Universe is Silent, the Hammer Comes

The situation of the Kree Empire spread like wildfire through countless spies to every planet, organization, and federation in the Universe capable of venturing into space.

The shocking news slowly rippled across the cosmos, and a month later, the entire Universe fell silent.

From the videos circulating everywhere, they saw that the powerful man from Earth had only charged up one attack against the Kree Empire's home planet.

Just one strike. Just one.

The entire planet was instantly annihilated, its core extinguished by that single blow.

Countless people wished this was some kind of simulated reality game, but no—it was an undeniable fact.

The Skrull Empire and the Shi'ar Empire were the first to receive the news from the Kree capital.

These two great universal empires immediately convened emergency meetings.

The results of their discussions were surprisingly similar.

First, immediately dispatch the foreign ministers to Xandar to express their goodwill and sincerity to Leo.

Second, deploy troops and arrange formations, mobilizing all imperial fleets to prepare for a massive assault on the Kree Empire at any time.

The Kree were already in a state of panic, with internal strife tearing them apart.

Third, contact the other empire—well, themselves and allies, apparently—to coordinate a joint attack on the Kree Empire and discuss resource distribution once the Kree were occupied.

Goodness, they were already dividing the spoils, completely disregarding the Kree Empire.

On Xandar, Leo had been back for a long time and planned to take the women home the next day.

He had been away for over three months and had no idea what was happening on Earth.

The Thor storyline should be starting now, and he needed to return to collect some benefits—a large sum of points he'd been severely short of.

Xandar, one man running a planet, was now arguably the busiest planet in the Universe.

Countless forces came to Leo with "pig heads" (benefits), all offering tribute.

Even with the city filled with all sorts of shady characters, the Nova Corps remained calm.

Could it be that some idiot would really dare to cause trouble on Xandar?

Probably not—they'd likely be beaten to a pulp before making a move.

Leo's prestige was growing daily; anyone who didn't want to live could try.

He had long since moved to the foot of a mountain, far from the city.

Too many people visited daily, and the Nova Corps was stationed there to handle them.

That day, while Leo studied the multiverse power stone, Nova Corps Centurion Iff Walker came to report.

"My Lord, representatives from the Shi'ar Empire and the Skrull Empire are waiting outside. Would you like to see them?"

The Shi'ar and Skrull Empires?

Leo thought for a moment and understood their purpose.

Over the past few days, he had rejected countless visitors, but these two parties could be seen.

"Let them in."

"Yes, My Lord!"

Centurion Walker replied respectfully and backed out.

After a short while, he returned with two delegates.

"Harrington Leonard, Foreign Minister of the Shi'ar Empire, greets the esteemed Earth God My Lord. I represent Her Majesty the Empress in extending the highest regards."

"Harold Joyce, Foreign Minister of the Skrull Empire, greets the esteemed Earth God My Lord. I represent Her Majesty the Queen in extending the highest regards."

The two imperial representatives were extremely respectful.

Upon entering, they knelt on one knee and cautiously greeted Leo.

"Rise, both of you. I don't like these formalities; be natural."

"Yes, My Lord."

They replied in unison and stood. Words were easy—actions, another matter.

Leo sized them up.

The Shi'ar delegate evolved from birds and was basically human, except for head feathers fanning out from a flat crown. Legendary bird-man, got it.

The Skrull delegate, true to form, appeared human—copycat planet people.

They had done their homework, shortening the distance between them and Earthlings.

Leo didn't speak; he simply observed. Both delegates remained silent, too cautious to open their mouths.

The quiet living room was so silent a pin could drop and echo. Just as sweat beaded their foreheads and hearts pounded, Leo spoke.

"Tell me your purpose. Skrulls first."

Harold Joyce discreetly wiped cold sweat from his forehead.

"My Lord, the Skrull Empire and the Shi'ar Empire plan to jointly attack the Kree Empire. We wonder if My Lord is interested in the Kree Empire."

"And you? The Shi'ar Empire is the same, right?"

After a moment, Leo looked at Harrington Leonard.

"Yes, My Lord."

Harrington Leonard spoke respectfully. Both sides were perceptive—Leo's attitude was key to their success.

Leo smiled. He had no interest in territories; he wasn't Thanos.

"Don't worry, I'm not interested. Do as you wish."

The delegates' relief was palpable. The enormous stone in their chests was lifted.

They exchanged glances and bowed ninety degrees.

"On behalf of the Skrull and Shi'ar Empires, we sincerely thank My Lord for his great kindness!"

Leo waved his hand. True strength came from power, not conquest. In the vast Universe, respect followed naturally.

The delegates stood up excitedly.

"We had already discussed it. The revenue from one hundred life-sustaining Kree planets will be transferred to your name, My Lord. What do you think?"

Leo smiled.

"I didn't expect you to be so generous. Alright, I'll reluctantly accept the free benefits."

Accepting it meant the transaction concluded.

"My Lord, if you have other requests, you may speak. We will fulfill them if we can."

"That's all for now. Keep your assets. If nothing else, report back."

They were overjoyed and respectfully left.

The two hadn't expected such a smooth meeting. Leo seemed indifferent to their offerings.

He understood their thoughts even without telepathy.

It wasn't disdain—he knew you can't get fat in one bite. A few decades of tech advantage would suffice for Earth.

Take too much, and Earth's development would collapse; the internal disparity would be unacceptable.

The next day, Leo quietly left with the women.

Upon returning to Earth, a hammer fell from the sky in Mexico—a hammer that no one could pull out.
