Chapter 169 - Chapter 168: The Strongest Mutant Across the Universe

The Dimensional Space shattered like a mirror, and Leo calmly stepped out of it.

"You've grown stronger again!"

The Ancient One looked at the spirited Leo and sighed deeply.

His aura had always been unfathomable, already existing in realms beyond hers; now he had advanced even further.

In the realm of this single Universe, he had taken another giant step forward.

It was impossible for the Ancient One not to feel envious.

How old was she? How old was Leo? There was no comparison at all. Yet he had come from behind and surpassed her by so much.

The Ancient One felt deeply frustrated.

Leo accepted the words with a faint smile. "As long as you don't seek death, you should soon be able to break through the final bottleneck and enter this realm."

The Ancient One shook her head.

"Alas, breaking through the bottleneck is far too difficult!" she said.

"This body is too old, completely decayed and unusable. If I cannot abandon it, I will forever be trapped. Only by freeing myself from the shackles of the body can I advance, and only then can my soul be free."

She understood that death was not the end; it was merely the beginning of a new existence.

The salvation of her soul outweighed everything.

Five hundred years of guarding this World had exhausted her, leaving both body and soul in perpetual fatigue.

"What you say is true. I hope you can find liberation," Leo said.

He knew persuasion would be useless.

The Ancient One had her own path; too much interference would only hinder her.

There was nothing wrong with her seeking freedom from the decaying body and pursuing Eternity—at least it would bring her happiness.

"Alright, next time we meet, I'll bring people," Leo waved, then left gracefully.

"Goodbye."

The Ancient One smiled faintly, watching his unconstrained back.

Leo could live according to his wishes, while she remained bound by responsibility.

Having left Kamar-Taj, Leo returned to New York, but a sudden pang hit him in the chest.

"Is it finally happening?" he murmured. The hidden enemy had finally appeared.

The newcomer was exceptionally powerful; the rules of this cinematic Universe seemed irrelevant in his presence.

He was absurdly strong, and Leo didn't know why he was being targeted.

But since the enemy had come, Leo wouldn't back down.

With a whoosh, he vanished.

He arrived at a desolate planet at least two billion light-years from Earth.

He dared not fight in the Milky Way—the aftershocks would destroy countless worlds.

As Leo waited, the newcomer traced his path to this isolated location.

When Leo finally saw him, he was dumbfounded. The assailant was just a child.

Could such a young one really traverse the Universe to kill him?

"This is ridiculous," Leo thought. "Hey, kid, have we met before? I have no grievances with you, so why are you chasing me?"

"I have no personal grudge, but our entanglement is significant. Otherwise, I wouldn't have returned from another timeline," the child said coldly.

"To kill you, I risk punishment from the power of time itself."

Leo frowned. "Alright… what entanglement?"

The child replied, "Today, you'll understand. Your name is Franklin Richards. My father and mother—you should know them."

"Oh… I see!"

Suddenly, everything clicked. His interference might prevent Reed Richards and Susan Storm from getting together, which could erase Franklin's existence.

Such a result was unacceptable. No one could tolerate being erased without reason.

"Then I understand. Let's fight. Let's see how powerful the legendary Omega-level mutant really is," Leo said.

"Good. You're not stalling. Don't blame me," Franklin said coldly, launching the attack first.

Invisible power surged from the young mutant, shaking the surrounding ground and mountains, as if a magnitude ten earthquake struck.

"Explode!"

Franklin struck the space near Leo, shattering it like fragile glass.

A black hole suddenly formed, the very fabric of reality threatened.

Countless invisible hands seemed to drag Leo into the void.

But Leo remained unmoved, standing like a World Tree rooted in the cosmos.

"Heh heh, Franklin… don't you know what the Space Stone is?"

Blue divine light radiated from Leo, instantly nullifying the black hole.

Spatial cracks behind him smoothed out as if they had never existed.

Franklin froze. His power had been casually erased.

Could the Space Stone have mutated? Impossible! Leo was using multi-level spatial power—far beyond a single-Universe Space Stone.

Things were not that simple. Franklin's youthful face betrayed confusion; this fight was going to be far more complicated than he anticipated.

[Host, prepare for extreme Universe-level combat.]
