Indra let out a relaxed sigh as he stretched his body after an intense training session with his weighted equipment. Thanks to his talent and a few sealing scrolls that Himawari had brought him during her visit, he had managed to create his own gravity seals. Honestly, they had been incredibly useful.
It also reminded him of a famous sealing technique from a fanfiction he had once read. It was practically a must-have for physical training.
Of course, he could adjust the weights whenever he wanted, making them heavier or lighter depending on his needs.
At the moment, however, Indra was seriously considering going on a solo mission. He had been cooped up in the Uchiha training grounds for far too long and needed a change of scenery. So, why not take a mission while he was at it?
Besides, he wanted a break from his mother's and Himawari's constant nagging. And it wasn't just them anymore. That damn Boruto and Misao had also started calling him an otaku.
Just thinking about it made Indra's eyebrow twitch in annoyance.
What did they know about the pleasure of creating jutsu and the satisfaction of becoming stronger? Honestly, it was just way too exciting.
He grumbled to himself before finally leaving the training grounds.
With a Body Flicker Technique, Indra arrived home. His mother wasn't there, as she had medical duties at Konoha Hospital. As for his sister, she was busy hanging out with her friends today.
In other words, he had the house all to himself.
After taking a shower, freshening up, and having something to eat, he headed straight towards the Hokage's office.
He made his way towards the mission board.
Ever since Naruto had taken office, he had implemented a mission board system. Details of available missions were posted on the board, along with their respective difficulty rankings.
The system was fairly straightforward.
D- and C-rank missions were generally assigned to Genin, while B-rank missions were intended for Chunin. A-rank missions were usually reserved for Tokubetsu Jonin and Jonin. As for S-rank missions, those were typically handled by experienced Jonin, with the Hokage personally assigning such high-level missions to suitable individuals.
Of course, there were exceptions. Occasionally, a group of Chunin could also undertake an A-rank mission, provided the team had at least five members and included a medical ninja.
Honestly, when Indra had first heard about this system, he couldn't help but think of the guild systems found in RPG games and Fairy Tail.
It was quite interesting.
However, this world was considerably different from what he remembered from the original Boruto. At least Naruto in this timeline seemed far more competent than his canon counterpart.
There were also several other ninjas gathered around the mission board, looking through the available assignments and discussing which ones they should take.
Indra joined them and began searching for something suitable.
Thanks to Kakashi's special recommendation, he was permitted to undertake solo missions up to B-rank. The same privilege had also been granted to the other members of his team after Kakashi had personally evaluated their abilities.
After looking through the available assignments for a while, Indra finally found one that caught his attention.
Mission: Hunt Down a Missing-Nin from Takigakure.
Target's Strength: Chunin-level.
Last Known Location: Land of Hot Water.
Reason for Defection: The target had murdered his employer during a mission, killed two Genin from his own village, looted the merchant's goods, and subsequently deserted Takigakure.
Indra looked over the details for a moment.
This seemed suitable. The target was only Chunin-level, so dealing with him shouldn't be particularly difficult. He could even enjoy a little trip while completing the assignment.
'Not bad. This should be a fairly relaxing mission.'
With a small smile, Indra took the mission paper and headed towards the counter.
"I'd like to take this mission."
The staff member behind the counter accepted the paper and glanced at it before raising an eyebrow.
After all, Genin weren't normally permitted to undertake missions of such a high rank without special authorization.
Just as the staff member was about to explain the rules, Indra took out a document bearing Kakashi's signature and handed it over.
The staff member examined the document carefully. After confirming that it carried the approval of the Sixth Hokage, Hatake Kakashi, he looked at Indra again.
A moment later, he seemed to recognize him.
Wasn't this the young genius everyone had been talking about lately? The same Genin who had become the Sixth Hokage's disciple?
Without saying anything further, the staff member approved the mission and handed the document back.
With that settled, Indra collected his mission papers and left the Hokage Building.
Once outside, he stretched his arms a little.
'Well, this should make for a nice and relaxing trip.'
With that thought in mind, Indra headed home to prepare some spare clothes and the other things he would need for the journey.

[ A/n :
Sorry guys for the really late update, but honestly, in the middle, I kinda lost my motivation to write. I was going through exams, and my favourite cousin had tumours around his neck, and it was really critical.
But now everything is back to normal, and hopefully, I can update more. And the reason why I even regained my motivation after so long was, well, I was reading through reviews. I saw a post by Game_B_Roll, and I honestly quite liked it. I also read all of your reviews, and I genuinely thank you for supporting me.
And of course, please remember to leave those power stones. It's my source of motivation, after all~ ]
