Chapter 56: The Parasitized Xenomorph Queen
In front of the mirror, Ren Arakawa leisurely shaved his beard.
A week passed quickly. From time to time, he would raise his wrist to look at the information on his reincarnation wristband.
But no matter how many times he looked, he never saw the notification he was waiting for.
"Ren Arakawa! Ren Arakawa!"
A knock came from the door behind him. Ren Arakawa wiped his face and opened it.
"What's wrong?"
Zhang Jie held a walkie-talkie. "The Covenant is contacting us!"
Taking the walkie-talkie, Ren Arakawa snorted coldly, "What is it?"
"Hey, kid." Da Qiang's voice came through. "How much longer do we have to wait? Aren't you going to end this reincarnation cycle?"
"Why are you in such a hurry? What are you planning?" Ren Arakawa's words took on a sarcastic, mocking tone. "A petty man who betrayed his team leader, planning to play the hero and save him again?"
"Do you fucking know how to talk?" Da Qiang slammed his fist against the spaceship's hull. "Are you looking to die?"
Ren Arakawa was completely defiant. "All I know is that if I return now, I'll definitely die. Do you think she'll let me go? Or if you've got the guts, why don't you drive the Covenant over and run me down?"
"You!" Da Qiang crushed the long-range walkie-talkie, worth one hundred Reward points, between two fingers.
Seeing Da Qiang like this, Yan Wei, Xiaoye Hui, and the others didn't dare to approach and ask for trouble, keeping their distance.
"Fuck!"
Da Qiang cursed viciously.
But he had to admit, Ren Arakawa was right.
After they returned, Meng Rui would definitely not spare him.
No, she would absolutely kill him!
Two more days passed.
Lying in bed, Ren Arakawa calculated the power gap between himself and Da Qiang, and considered how he could kill him successfully.
*Knock, knock, knock.*
The sound of knocking echoed, and Ren Arakawa opened the door.
"Dan Nusi? What's wrong?"
The expression on Dan Nusi's face wasn't good. She pulled Ren Arakawa towards the control room.
"According to Weyland Corporation protocol, when a planet with signs of life is discovered, we must go and explore... otherwise, it will be very troublesome."
"We might even lose control of the spaceship. It will fly on autopilot, either returning home or waiting for a 'greeting' from other company spaceships."
Ren Arakawa nodded. "Understood. In other words, we have to go explore the planet, and if there's no threat on this planet..."

Dan Nusi was just about to answer when her gaze fell upon the watch on Ren Arakawa's wrist.
Following Dan Nusi's gaze, Ren Arakawa looked as if he had seen something incredible.
After confirming it again and again, he swept Dan Nusi up in a big bear hug!
"She's dead! She's finally dead!"
[Team China Meng Rui has died. Crew reduced by one. One hundred Reward points deducted.]
Inside the underground mother hive, a scene of utter devastation met the eye.
The ground was carpeted with the remains of Xenomorphs. Shattered flesh, dark red blood, and slime mingled together, emitting a nauseating stench of decay.
The corpses of these Xenomorphs were in various states—some still maintained an attacking posture, while others were curled into a ball, clearly having died in extreme agony.
Amidst these remains, an unusually massive Xenomorph corpse was particularly eye-catching.
This Xenomorph was several times the size of an ordinary one. Its body was twisted, clearly defeated in a fierce battle.
Its exoskeleton was covered in deep scars. Some parts had been completely torn open, revealing the organs and bones within.
Fufu panted heavily, his body covered in the marks of battle. His clothes were in tatters, and there were visible wounds on his face and arms.
His eyes revealed exhaustion and a barely perceptible trace of fear. Only the broken sword in his hand could bring him any sense of security.
Lying on the ground beside him was Dio.
His face was pale, and the shield in his hand was damaged beyond recognition, clearly having taken a massive impact while protecting Fufu.
Neither of them was in good shape, but their eyes glinted with the relief of having survived a disaster.
Before them was the Xenomorph Queen that had parasitized Meng Rui.
This Xenomorph Queen was enormous. Some parts of her body had already mutated, making her look even more ferocious and terrifying.
If they could choose again, neither Fufu nor Dio would ever want to face a Queen that had been spawned from a Parasitic Beast.
Their room for survival had been constantly shrinking due to the arrival of the black water.
When Dio discovered that Meng Rui had become the Queen's host and was using her to madly breed Xenomorphs, he and Fufu had no other choice. They could only grab some colonists from cryo-sleep and use them to lure away the black water.
Then, they charged into the mother hive in one go, killing Meng Rui before she could create an entire army of Xenomorphs.
Having experienced the Queen's terror, Fufu had indeed paid a painful price, just as Meng Rui had said he would.
Having lost his high-altitude advantage, he came dangerously close to being killed by Meng Rui in a counter-attack. If it hadn't been for Dio's psychic control providing effective interference from the side, the final result would have truly been uncertain.
Three days later, the two members of the Devil Team heard the long-awaited mechanical voice of the Main God.
[In thirty seconds, returning to Main God Space.]
On the Covenant, the group of newcomers who had sworn an oath to make Da Qiang their leader received a handout of one hundred Reward points from him as they waited for their return.
Lori looked at Yan Wei, who had turned into a complete sycophant, her eyes full of contempt.
She didn't need to suck up to Da Qiang.
Because she had killed a facehugger, the deduction of another hundred Reward points was not a problem for her.
For Zhang Jie, thirty seconds felt as long as a year.
He could finally go to that place, see her one more time, and perhaps even greedily embrace, just once, the woman from his memories.
Dan Nusi watched as pillars of light enveloped Ren Arakawa and Zhang Jie, tears streaming from the corners of her eyes.
This experience would be unforgettable for everyone.
Ren Arakawa had a relaxed expression as he waved at Dan Nusi.
"See you later, partner."
A flash of white light passed, and Team China returned!
In the empty plaza, everyone was sprawled on the ground.
The newcomers looked around, their hearts full of anticipation.
Could they finally become superhumans?
No, that's not right.
They still had to experience one more horror movie before they could get their startup funds.
And just as everyone was preparing to ask Da Qiang how to get their own rooms...
A furious roar, like a clap of thunder, erupted beside them!
"Die!"
Yan Wei saw the kunai in Ren Arakawa's hand flying straight for him and was so scared he scrambled to hide behind Da Qiang.
But then he discovered that Ren Arakawa wasn't looking at him, but...
at Da Qiang behind him!
This kid is insane!!
