Chapter 41 - The Master and the Wolf

Leo knelt on the dirt, still staring at the newly materialized figure with a level of shock that surpassed even seeing Admiral Akainu. He knew the figure was lethal.

He knew he was the Wolf, the protector of the Divine Heir. But how do you talk to a legend?

What should I do? What should I say? Leo's mind raced, his throat suddenly dry. He's the legendary character, Sekiro, the Wolf! I can't even stand against him!

Sekiro remained utterly still, his posture that of a man perpetually waiting for a command, his gaze steady but unreadable.

DING!

A new series of System notifications flashed, overwhelming Leo's vision and finally breaking the silence.

Summon Initialization Complete

Character Memory Reset: Previous world memories (Ashina, Lord Kuro, events) have been purged to prevent narrative conflict.

Nature/Skills/Abilities: Core nature, physical abilities (Shinobi skill tree), and innate combat skills have been maintained.

Host World Integration: Host's information about this world (Haki, Devil Fruit concept, key threats) has been transferred to the character's base knowledge.

Wow, Leo thought, rubbing his temples. This system is sometimes buggy, but in these scenarios, this

system is far beyond what a transmigrator would've seen. It reset him into a pure weapon and gave him the necessary context.

Leo looked at the Wolf's hands. His grip was naturally resting on the hilt of a sword sheathed at his side. It wasn't the Wolf's familiar blade, Kusabimaru—the heirloom of the Hirata family. It was the Tenseiryū.

Wait a minute! Leo stared. Why is the Tenseiryū in his hands? And where is his own sword? Kusabimaru.

A final, clarifying message popped up:

New Weapon Acknowledgment: The Tenseiryū has been bonded to the Wolf, recognizing the character's status as a master swordsman and accepting the Host's will over the blade. You have been acknowledged by the Wolf as his new master.

"Oh, I see," Leo whispered, realizing the profound significance. So, his signature sword has been replaced, just like his memories, and the act of sacrificing the Tenseiryū made me his new Lord.

He took a deep breath. Time to talk to the legend. He tried to remember the solemn, respectful way Sekiro interacted with his young lord.

Hello, Sekiro, Leo began, trying to adopt a friendly tone. "Welcome to the Grand Line, Wolf. That was an epic entrance. I'm Leo. It's an honor to meet you, so let's get the introductions out of the way."

Before Leo could finish the sentence, the Wolf moved. Sekiro bowed deeply, a fluid, practiced motion that ended with his eyes fixed respectfully on the ground."

"Hello, my Master," Sekiro said, his voice a low, steady baritone, entirely devoid of surprise or resentment. "What should I do for you?"

Leo blinked, his jaw dropping. He immediately dropped the formal pretense.

"Hey! Hey, wait, wait!" Leo waved his hands frantically. "Don't call me Master! Just call me Leo!"

The Warrior from Ashina remained perfectly still, his head bowed. "As you command, Master."

Leo sighed, rubbing the bridge of his nose. This was going to be complicated.

He took a step forward, his voice regaining its command but now mixed with humor and genuine respect. "Listen, Sekiro. Since you treat me as your Master, I'm going to command you this: From now on, you will call me by my name, Leo. And you will never call me Master again."

He grinned, nudging his head toward the jungle. "Well, you can call me Captain when we make a crew, eh? Hmm, let's put that aside. And don't bow in front of me! I don't want to be bowed to by such a legendary character. We should be friends instead. Do you understand?"

Sekiro, after a moment of complete stillness, finally gave a single, firm nod. "Yes, Leo."

A wave of relief and pure happiness washed over Leo. Finally! "Should I check other information as well? Let's do that later. I don't know how many people saw the flash of this summoning."

Leo looked at his new companion, his first crewmate. "Alright, Sekiro. Let's go."

"Okay," Sekiro replied instantly, keeping his newly acquired sword sheathed as he moved to stand beside Leo.
