Dante approached the bed with a stern expression and sat slowly on the edge.
Camela stiffened, the weight of realization crashing down on her. Pretending to faint and the scene she had caused had clearly angered him.
His fingers closed around her chin in a hard grip, forcing her to look up at him.
She winced as he leaned in, his hot breath brushing her skin.

He shoved her face aside and gripped her shoulder hard.
Fury burned through him. He had been in the middle of important business when the maid's urgent call had dragged him away.
