Eyes were wide open, glaring at the sky like kids who saw an airplane. Some had their wide-open mouths closed with their hands, while the others didn't bother closing them; their concentration was at the top.
They were, like, singing in a choir lesson, reading the lyrics at the top since they had their eyes wide open, glaring at the top.
Kai was out of the window, flying, going straight to the ground since his body lost the speed to cross to the next building.
Suddenly, another window broke, and glasses shattered and went down. A big, giant Goro guy was seen rounding (rolling) in the air, his right leg stretched, his foot ready to kick. Within a moment, Kai received another kick that sent him to the next building.
The kick sent him down a bit. Kai hit the wall of another building with his back, and blood sprayed out of his mouth, being forced by the hit on his back that caused him to release a lot of air.
Within a second, his body went down slowly, getting out from the scar that was made on a wall during the hit. It was left with a print of Kai.
He flew from the top, about 50 meters away, and landed on a big plastic sheet that was used as a shade by the Luminaris vendors. It broke and landed Kai on top of the fruits that were being sold since it was a market where there were buyers and sellers around.
People watched Kai landing, and they exclaimed as they saw him dropping like a rotten fruit; within a second, Giant Goro was like a wind conqueror since he slowly dropped from where he kicked Kai to the ground. He started laughing when he was in the air, and that diverted all the attention to him as he slowly went down and landed.
Murmurs echoed, and they settled down around the crowd as they started to say, "It's Goro, the otherworlder!" He was known for his aggression and fierceness, so please were scared, and this time they failed to look away from him, and running away turned out to be a story for another day.
A sudden giggle echoed in the air, scarily and from a deep voice, "Hihihi, hehehehe, hahahaha. Finally, you are down, mage." "Giant," Goro said, his eyes on where Kai landed. He was nowhere to be seen, but he was there; he was hidden by that red plastic bag.
Flashback
What made Goro reach Kai that early and below too?
When Goro kicked Kai in the middle of that building, the ground wasn't strong since it was a building being renovated. Kai flew out while Goro fell down to the next floor.
When he fell, he realized that he was going to intercept Kai and lend another hit. He grinned and landed like a cat since he landed on his feet. He then ran to the window, in Kai's direction. That's when he managed to get Kai again.
THE END OF FLASHBACK.
PRESENT
He started the conversation with everyone who was there; he showed them that they believed wrong as he said, "You see, believe mages to save you and protect the city? What a joke. If I had control, I was going to kill them, all of them. That's all because…they are weaklings; they don't deserve to be looked up to. I'll show them that they are kids in a fight, just like any of you and that loser; nobody can stand in front of me." He spoke while he slowly went down.
He landed on the ground; everyone was shaking to see him. He was the well-known criminal that mages couldn't catch. They were also scared of losing another mage just for their protection.
When he said his last line, everyone dropped down like mango fruits on a windy day. They kneeled down, their faces on the ground, hands stretched in front while sitting on their kneeling feet.
He widely grinned, his eyes narrowed as he saw everyone on the ground without anyone peeking.
The way everyone kneeled down gave him strength and motivation, and he was happy for his win of heart. He said, "Good, we can build a revolution, under my protection, live alongside each other, and avoid fake protectors who pretend to protect you just for fame. Just like that number 1 mage, Xander. So under my protection, we rise.
Quietness settled down in the land, and only one man, who was kneeling, raised his head up a bit and glared at Goro with a corner of his eyes, then he said, "Yey!" He wasn't too loud; only people around him heard what he said, including Goro.
With a deep, irritated voice, Goro asked, "Who said that?" Everyone got quiet, and the one who said so couldn't even respond. He was shaking in his boots, with his two cold feet.
Goro continued to ask, "I'm asking you, who said that?"
Fingers pointed straight at the young man, and he raised his head a bit, then he bent his stretched hand forward and raised his hand.
"Goro moved to his left, where the guy was, and fiercely, he asked, 'Ohh, so it was you?'"
The man stammered as he responded, "Y, y, y, ye, ye, yes!"
Angrily, Goro said, "Stand up and come over here."
The man shook as if he had been told to race with a lion.
Fear whirled around the place; some minds were ringing with phrases like, 'What a fool' and 'What was he up to anyways?'
The brown-haired guy, wearing a brown coat, khaki pants, and brown shoes, went to the Giant Goro, with his knees vibrating.
He was moving slowly, his teeth gritted as he feared Goro. He wasn't ready, but he was for his last breath.
He reached out to Goro, and Goro fiercely took the guy's right hand and pulled him to the left. The guy almost got his parents wet. He held his pants with his left hand, while his knees shook like a leaf.
