Chapter 372 - Chapter 373 The Death Prophecy

"Is that your cat?"

Katrina looked at the two people sitting there, then at the fat cat on the table, and she knew who the cat belonged to.

"Hmm, this is Tom ." Albert reached out and pressed down on the remaining dried fish on the table, picked up his magic wand and waved it, then closed the dried fish package again and put it in his shirt pocket.

" Silent Magic ?"

Katrina's expression was somewhat complex; Albert's earliernonchalant attitude had undoubtedly dealt her a heavy blow.

Silent Magic had only been introduced in fifth grade, and she had tried several of the simplest spells, but they had all failed.

"No, I read the spell," Albert said with a smile, without admitting that he knew the Silent Spell .

Katrina didn't believe him; this man loved to talk and deceive people. Did he really think she was deaf?

"If you're finished, don't occupy the spot alone," he said. "Also, your cat needs to lose weight. I've never seen anyone's cat this fat. How is it going to catch mice?"

" Tom doesn't need to catch mice; he just needs to be cute," Albert said with a smile. He gave his seat to Katrina and moved to a newly appeared table in the corner to begin creating new magician cards . He wanted this new card game to be popular, so naturally he needed to dedicate some time to it.

As for the materials and designs, she had already collected and designed them during the summer holidays. Although she couldn't use magic at home , it didn't mean she couldn't do anything.

The reverse of the Wizard card was to feature two wands crossed, with a hat in the background. Initially, he had planned to use a 'W' for the background, butremembering that the Ministry of Magic used one, Albert abandoned the idea and replaced it with a beautiful pointed wizard's hat.

However, considering he was thought to be planning to use the duplication spell for promotion , the cards had no magical effect whatsoever . Yes, they were just ordinary Muggle cards.

Wizard Card version 1.1 was several notches better than the hastily written version.

Of course, to give everyone something to get excited about , Albert still designed his cards very elegantly, allowing them to see what future magician cards would look like.

People should always have dreams and expectations.

Albert placed the cards one by one into the box to prevent Tom's claws from ruining them.

"The Divination class is awful!"

A sound came from nearby. Albert turned his head and saw Katrina using her method of " dispelling the fog of the future " to predict the moon's fortunes .

Katrina was worried. She had attended a few classes before, but she saw no hope for the future of this course.

All that talk about interpreting tea leaves was complete nonsense.

There was no other option. In the class, apart from Albert , who was suspected of being genuinely knowledgeable about divination and could converse with the Professor, no one else was present. After Professor Trelawney's departure , everyone had completely lost their initial curiosity and anticipation for the lesson. They all understood the Professor's reason. Trelawney was considered a fraud.

As for the assignments, it was obvious at first glance that they were all made up, wasn't it?

Professor Trelawney enjoyed watching everyone predict their own misfortunes.

Therefore, most people's homework consisted of predicting the misfortunes they would encounter this month.

Katrina wasn't the type to slack off on her work, soshe couldn't say she enjoyed the Divination class .

Katrina askedher sister, " Isabelle , why don't you leave this class?" She even doubted whether Isabelle would learn anything useful from it.

" That's exactly what the Divination class is like. Even if I don't know Divination, I can still learn some basic things," Isabelle said , glancing indifferently at her sister. "Divination requires talent. Professor Trelawney said that from the very beginning."

Katrina said, somewhat unhappily,"Your voice reallydoes sound like Albert's . "

"Is someone looking for me?"

Albert's voice came from not too far away.

"No, we're not looking for you," Katrina said angrily.

Albert looked at Katrina meaningfullysaid"I'm not deaf.I heard everything just now."

"Well, I was explaining why I chose this cursed method of Divination," Katrina said anxiously. "Maybe I should just throw them away, that's where they belong."

Albert looked at Isabelle ,thenat Katrina's parchment, which had little writing on it, and raising an eyebrow, said, "You don't understand this subject well enough, nor do you grasp its own context clearly."

"Very well, Mr. Prophet , let us hear your brilliant insights ."

" I think Trelawney is just an ordinary seer . I don't think she can even bear such a weighty title; at most, she's a seer from the Muggle world ," Professor Albert continued , pulling up a chair and sitting down beside them. " In the Muggle world, a first-class seer can usually predict things with subtle clues."

"For example, your mindset, habits, reactions, and even other things; or analyzing answers based on seemingly insignificant information; or achieving this by subtly giving you a psychological clue."

"So you had guessed that the Forbidden Forest was dangerous before …" Katrina raised an eyebrow, but Isabelle interrupted her, gesturing for Albert to continue .

"Those who think meticulously don't appreciate so-called prophecy unless it's from a true seer . Wizards who can truly predict the future are highly respected." Albert glanced at the flustered Katrina and continued unhurriedly, "I don't think Professor Dumbledore is very interested in the Professor . He doesn't believe in Trelawney's so-called prophecies, or rather, in our headmaster , the Professor . He doesn't accept any of Professor Trelawney's methods. In Headmaster Dumbledore's eyes, Professor Trelawney might be someone who likes to boast and lacks self-awareness."

" Why would Headmaster Dumbledore hire the Professor ?" Katrina asked , her heart filled with doubt, " Should I choose another wizard instead of Trelawney , or should I cancel the course altogether?"

" How much do you know about the surname Trelawney ?"

"What?"

Isabelle explained"Cassandra Trelawney was a very famous fortune teller . Professor Trelawney is probably related to her, andthe ability to predict is often hereditary. Albert means Dumbledore wouldn't hire the Professor . I would choose Trelawney just forCassandra Trelawney's reputation alone , unless she has any real talent."

"That's the situation."

" I don't see any real talent in the professor ," Katrina grumbled. " Trelawney ," she said, "his ability to deceive people isn't even as good as Albert's . "

Professor Albert , pretending not to have heard Katrina's words , said , " Trelawney must have given Dumbledore a prophecy , and that prophecy must have come true . It's just that she may not have inherited much of the Trelawney family's prophetic ability , which is why she can't fulfill her prophecies in the normal way."

"You talk as if you could actually do that," grumbled Katrina . "Maybe I should talk to Professor Flitwick and drop the Divination course ."

Isabelle gently suggested, "alsodrop the Non-Wizard Studies class , then you'd have a normal class schedule."

"Never mind, I've already started learning, how can I possibly give up!" Katrina hesitated for a moment, but decided to persevere. She didn't want to be ridiculed.

" In the divination class, we'll eventually be testing topics like tea leaf divination, palmistry, and crystal ball divination ," Isabelle said, no longer trying to convince him, instead sharing the information she had gathered. "Normally, if you learn the most basic things well, you can at least get a passing grade. The examiners don't expect you to actually predict the future."

"Of course, they don't expect that; there are very few wizards who can truly predict the future ." Albert mimicked the Professor , making his voice sound distant. Trelawney's tone of voice: "So, now you understand why the Professor said that ." Trelawney says that Divination is the most difficult of all the magical arts to learn . "If you don't have the ability of 'Vision,' there's very little I can teach you. Books on this subject can only take you so far…"

Katrina, with a renewed doubt in her heart, asked "Do you really know about prophecies?"

"If I told you that Professor Dumbledore would die within ten years , would you believe me?" Albert suddenly asked .

" Headmaster Dumbledore is already very old. Okay, I understand what you mean!" Katrina understood what Albert meant .

Essentially, he was predicting a potentially serious event on a broad scale; even if it didn't happen, it wouldn't affect Albert .

After all, there were still ten years to go, and by then he would probably have forgotten about it; besides, this man had never claimed to be able to make prophecies, so you couldn't call him a liar.

"Alright, another con artist." Katrina finally understood Albert's game . "Prophecies and things like that are really just lies."
