Still at the apartment door, Jay, already ready, was seen doing some stretching exercises while waiting for Ruby to arrive.
Soon, the sound of light footsteps could be heard approaching him.
Turning around, Jay saw Ruby, wearing a short-sleeved white running shirt, looking energetic with her hair tied back in a ponytail.
Coupled with a white skirt above her knees and tight leggings, Jay was completely captivated.
"What are you looking at?!" Ruby said proudly to Jay.
"Of course I'm looking at you. I never thought you'd be such a beauty in this sporty outfit," Jay complimented Ruby.
"Hmm... what a sweet mouth... let's run around the lake!" Ruby looked pleased, but clearly still a little shy, so she ran ahead, leaving Jay behind.
Seeing Ruby's pace, Jay simply smiled and jogged after her.
Perhaps because they were running on a weekday, there weren't many people jogging with them.
Even so, with the beautiful and cool surroundings, the two seemed to be enjoying their morning jog.
On the edge of the blue lake where the two were jogging, there was a jogging track more than 5 meters wide, encircling the entire lake, which covered an area of over 3 km.
With this width, Jay and Ruby decided to do one or two laps around the lake.
On the jogging track, Ruby and Jay ran slowly, seemingly regulating their breathing to maintain their jogging pace.
Finally, after about 20 minutes, they managed to complete one lap. "Whoa... let's take a break," Ruby said to Jay, inviting him to rest on a chair nearby.
Seeing the beads of sweat dripping down Ruby's cheeks and neck, Jay had to admit that the sight was truly indescribable.
But after a few moments, Jay quickly averted his gaze, not wanting to be labeled a pervert by Ruby.
Although, he had to admit, the hormones released after running and sitting close to a beautiful woman were difficult to control.
After a short rest, the two decided to run another lap.
But this time, Jay had his eye on the 24-karat gold ring.
In the middle of his second jog, he asked Ruby to run ahead, claiming her shoelaces were untied.
Ruby, seeing this, simply nodded and slowed her pace.
Seeing the calm surrounding, Jay stopped near the water treatment plant and began searching for the gold.
It only took a moment to spot the gold ring, half covered by fallen leaves.
"There it is... I finally found it!" Jay happily picked it up and put it in his pocket.
Jay soon caught up with Ruby.
Long story short, the two had finished their morning jog and decided to find breakfast near the lake.
There was a food court around the lake, selling a variety of foods.
It's worth noting that the blue lake wasn't the exclusive lake belonging to Ruby's apartment, but rather an artificial lake provided by the government.
"Have you had breakfast yet?" Ruby asked Jay.
"Not yet, I just filled my stomach with water, what about you?" Jay asked Ruby again.
"Same here, I just ate a pack of chocolate bread," Ruby replied.
"Then let's find a suitable breakfast in the food court," Jay replied, inviting Ruby to breakfast.
"Okay, I don't mind," Ruby replied.
Finally, the two of them arrived at the food court, where they saw many vendors selling both heavy and light food.
There were vendors selling fresh juice, others selling breakfast options like rice porridge with chicken toppings, and various other options.
In the end, they both agreed to eat a portion of chicken porridge, which was quite filling.
As they ate, the two of them chatted. "Are you on the side of stir-fried porridge or do you eat it straight?" Ruby started the conversation.
"Of course, I'm on the side of stir-fried porridge," Jay replied, staring at a portion of chicken porridge, consisting of rice porridge with pieces of boiled chicken, topped with fried peanuts, celery, fried onions, and crackers. He also added sweet soy sauce.
At the bottom of the porridge, a yellow sauce from the chicken broth was visible.
Stirring it slowly and thoroughly, Jay noticed the porridge had become a brown paste.
"Hey... what's the point of eating porridge by stirring it? It just ruins it."
"Taste, see, porridge should be enjoyed by eating it from the very edge.
And add toppings next, and finally, you should eat crackers as a dessert," Ruby replied, not wanting to be outdone in expressing her opinion.
"How do you say your way of eating porridge is better than mine?" Jay asked provocatively.
Hearing Jay's provocative tone, Ruby then turned her attention and asked Jay again.
"Do you have a way to compare?" Ruby asked again, not wanting to be outdone.
"Easy, come on, open your mouth," Jay replied casually.
"Ahhh," she opened her mouth consciously.
And a spoonful of stirred porridge entered Ruby's mouth.
Realizing that Jay had already put the stirred porridge into her mouth, Ruby unconsciously began chewing, and the soft, sweet and savory flavors mingled in her mouth.
Soon, a crunchy, slightly bitter taste followed, and she swallowed softly.
"Is it good?" Jay asked quickly, seeing Ruby swallow the porridge he'd stirred into her mouth.
"It's delicious," Ruby replied innocently.
"Nah… you agree, right?" Jay immediately laughed happily.
"Eh… you…" As if realizing something was wrong, Ruby wanted to retort, but then a cunning thought occurred to her, and without another word, she spooned the unstirred white porridge into Jay's mouth.
Jay, who was laughing, was of course caught off guard and unconsciously chewed and swallowed the porridge.
"How is it?" Ruby asked, clearly not to be outdone.
"It's just so-so… just a little savory," Jay replied casually.
"You!!!!" As if dissatisfied with Jay's answer, Ruby ate her porridge in annoyance.
In the end, perhaps because they were hungry or perhaps they were competing, the bowl of porridge was finished in just a few minutes.
"Uncle, how much is two servings of porridge?" Jay asked, intending to pay.
"Twenty dollars," the uncle replied kindly, but from his gaze, it was clear he had something to say but was ultimately hesitant.
"Okay," Jay then paid the price for the porridge with e-money.
"Let's walk and digest our food," Jay invited back to Ruby.
Watching Jay and Ruby leave, the uncle selling porridge said to the old vendor next to him selling snacks.
"What's wrong with young people these days? They clearly just want to feed each other, but they have so many tricks up their sleeves," the uncle selling porridge complained to his friend.
"You're right, they're not as pure as we used to be," another uncle agreed.
If Jay knew he was being gossiped about by the two uncles selling breakfast, he might just say, "Uncle, you're too old-fashioned!"
As he walked, Jay continued to observe the snack vendors in the food court and finally found the person he was looking for.
However, Jay didn't move at this moment, as he was considering Ruby, who was standing beside him.
"Are you free this afternoon?" Ruby asked Jay. After two days of meeting, she found Jay very interesting, and during their time together, he always felt full of unexpected things. Unconsciously, Ruby was thinking more about him.
"What's wrong? Is there something important you need my help with?" Jay asked again, surprised, but inside, he felt happy.
"I…"
