Chapter 2: The Awakening
The moonlight gleamed faintly through the thinning clouds, its silver glow reflecting off puddles that dotted the narrow alleyway.
The rain had softened to a drizzle — cold and quiet, almost suffocating.
On the wet ground lay a young man — Kael Azelion — his eyes was closed, his body motionless and His dark hair clung to his forehead, drenched in the rain, with faint traces of crimson energy that still shimmered beneath his pale skin.
Not far away stood Selene, watching him with unreadable eyes.
Even after everything she'd seen in centuries of existence, what had just happened left her shaken.
> What is this boy…? She thought
She could still feel the echoes of that overwhelming aura he had released unconsciouly — it was primal, ancient, suffocating.
A human should have collapsed after a few drops of her Sanguis Vitae, it was the core essence blood of a vampire afterall but he had taken nearly all she gave… and survived, No, not only survived thrive, evolve.
Her thoughts were interrupted by a faint shuffle.
Kael's fingers twitched. His eyes fluttered open.
Selene straightened instinctively, her crimson gaze narrowing slightly as she watched him stir.
Kael groaned, sitting up slowly. His head throbbed violently, the world spinning around him.
"What… happened?" he murmured, rubbing his temples. "Why am I not… on my bed?"
He blinked, realizing he was lying on cold, wet concrete. Then memories struck like lightning — the glowing red eyes, the searing pain and euphoria, the fangs, the voice that asked if he wanted to live.
"Wait…" he muttered, standing shakily. "I was bitten… by something… with fangs. Then someone else came and—"
His breath hitched.
"Vampires…"
He looked up — and froze.
The woman standing before him looked like a vision from a forbidden dream.
Even soaked by the rain, her crimson dress clung to her like silk painted over perfection. The fabric outlined every curve of her hourglass figure — from the full rise of her E cup breast announcing itself to the world to the elegant dip of her slim waist as If asking a man to commit a sin of touching it and the gentle swell of her hips.
Raindrops traced her smooth, pale skin as if afraid to mar it.
Her crimson hair, damp and wild, cascaded over her shoulders like liquid fire, framing a face too flawless to be mortal. Her eyes glowed softly in the moonlight — alluring, dangerous, yet strangely calm.
Her charm as a vampire was truly high, drawing attention like a moth to flame which is really the case, because she is a dangerous beauty.
Kael's breath caught. So this… is what I saw before I passed out.
Now that he could truly see her, he finally understood what people meant by "beauty carved by the gods."
Still, he managed to steady his voice.
"Who are you? And… are you what I think you are?"
Selene tilted her head slightly, the faintest hint of a smirk touching her lips.
"I am a noble vampire," she said proudly, her tone elegant and cold. "Selene of the Repeat Royalty family.
Her head was slightly raise and her voice was a pitch higher showing the power and confidence of her bloodline.
Her poise, her confidence — everything about her spoke of nobility and timeless grace.
Kael nodded slowly. "So, Miss Selene… you turned me into a vampire?"
Her expression shifted — a flicker of hesitation in her eyes.
"Yes," she admitted at last. "You are now one of us. At least… by form."
She crossed her arms, crimson eyes narrowing slightly as she studied him.
"You should be nothing more than a thrall — a lesser being born from my blood. But…" Her voice trailed off, uncertain.
Even she couldn't deny it. The aura he had released earlier had shaken her to her core.
No thrall — not even a noble vampire — should possess something like that.
She looked at him again, the rain glistening over her flawless skin.
What are you really, Kael Azelion?
Kael met her gaze calmly, surprising her once more with his composure.
"So what now?" he asked quietly.
Selene's eyes narrowed slightly — not with hostility, but with intrigue.
He wasn't panicking. He wasn't trembling. Most humans would beg or scream.
But this boy simply accepted it.
Interesting.
Since you are now my thrall then you will be my kni..... Suddenly Selene's expression changed dramatically because right now the connection she should be feeling is not what she is feeling,
When a Bloodborne is turn by a vampire the person will be a thrall the lowest rung in the vampire race but what she was was feeling from their connection is not a thral, no it was a step higher than a thrall although she sensed an aura from him before she can sense that aura was not his strength now, it was more like a sealed one but the strength she is feeling from him right now.
It's insane, completely insane how can she feel the strength of a royalty from him, the bloodline of a Royal vampire was actually in his body.
At this point she was doubting if she was the one that turn him or he is was already a vampire royalty making a joke out of her.
No I was the one that turn him, I can still remember his mortal body with his life slipping away.
But what was more shocking was the connection between them, when a vampire is turned The vampire who is performing the ritual has the authority to choose the relationship between them, the ability to turn others into a vampire was a bloodline ability available to all vampires.
It is an ability ingrained in them from the very beginning that can be done instinctually as long as the vampire is willing, It places a seal on the deepest level of the soul, either the vampire wants the person turned to be, a servant, a slave, an husband or wife even a master.
And when she is turning him she was very sure she place a seal of a servant on him but what is she feeling in her soul now. Her expression was mirroring the horror she is actually feeling. Because a seal can not be changed when placed on the soul, the act of turning a vampire and choosing the relationship you want with them is a power that borders the soul.
It cannot be changed and what she is feeling right now on the seal in her soul that connects her to the man standing in front of her right now
Is that of a couple. It is a bond of marriage.
