Chapter 25 - Chapter 25:"Do you guys Think Level 5 Magic Beasts are that Simple

The Voidfang Dreadwolf's paw slammed heavily against the golden shield, the impact shaking the surroundings and sending shockwaves rippling through the forest.

The ground cracked open beneath them.

But even under the overwhelming power of the Voidfang Dreadwolf, the shield stood firm, radiating an unyielding divine glow.

The wolf's eyes narrowed slightly.

In the next second, its body dissolved into a shadow.

Whoosh—

A flash of golden light erupted.

Boom!

Something slammed into the ground at the exact spot where the Voidfang Dreadwolf had been standing moments earlier, cracking the earth apart.

The wolf reappeared several meters away and turned its head sharply toward the impact site.

There, embedded deep into the ground, was a long golden projectile—nearly the length of a spear. At a glance, one might have mistaken it for an actual spear rather than an arrow.

Before the Voidfang Dreadwolf could even process what had just happened—

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

A barrage of golden arrows rained down from the sky like a divine storm, filling the air with piercing whistles.

The wolf's expression darkened instantly.

It let out a furious roar, releasing a powerful shockwave that blasted several of the incoming arrows apart midair.

But there were simply too many.

With a snarl, its body once again dissolved into shadows. It flickered in and out of existence, reappearing at different locations in rapid succession as it desperately dodged the relentless rain of golden arrows.

Even with its teleportation ability pushed to the limit, the Voidfang Dreadwolf still could not completely escape.

The Voidfang Dreadwolf was still pierced by several of the golden arrows.

Black blood sprayed out, splashing across the forest ground. The wolf let out a hoarse roar as its body jerked violently as pain flooded through it.

Only a few minutes passed, but to the Voidfang Dreamwolf, it felt much longer.

In the end, it collapsed to the ground.

Its massive body slammed into the ground, snow exploding outward. As a dozen golden arrows pierced through its body, nailing it to the ground. Blood poured out nonstop, soaking the grass beneath it.

The Voidfang Dreadwolf tried to stand up.

Its claws dug into the ground, trembling, but its limbs gave out. It couldn't even lift its head. All it could do was lie there, breathing heavily; each breath was sharp and painful.

At that moment a blinding golden light suddenly appeared in the sky, forcing it to shut its eyes against the glare. When it finally reopened them, what it saw left it utterly stunned.

Even Hou Jinhai had his mouth wide open as he was stunned by what he saw at this moment.

Descending from the sky was a figure, an angel, its massive wings spread wide, blotting out the light above.

The angel was clad in white and gold exoskeletal armor; the surface of the armor was etched with intricate divine patterns that shimmered faintly. And in its hands was a golden divine bow, radiant light gathering silently along the bowstring, exuding an

overwhelming pressure that made the air itself tremble.

A suffocating pressure suddenly descended from the sky, heavy and pure, washing over the forest like an invisible tide.

The Voidfang Dreadwolf, nailed firmly to the ground by the golden arrow, let out a low, trembling growl. Its pupils shrank to pinpoints as it struggled to rise, but no matter how hard it tried, its body refused to obey. The arrow pinned it mercilessly in place, leaving it unable to stand.

Desperation flickered through its eyes.

It immediately attempted to activate the [Shadow Devour] skill, void energy surging wildly around its body as it tried to teleport away.

But nothing happened.

The skill failed to activate.

At this moment the angel slowly raised the golden divine bow as his fingers pulled back the bowstring; streams of glowing light converged from all directions, condensing into a single arrow of blinding brilliance. The space around the bow distorted slightly, unable to withstand the purity of the power being gathered.

Whoosh—

With a piercing cry, the angel released the arrow, sending it hurtling through the air with incredible speed.

The Voidfang Dreadwolf let out a desperate roar, void energy surging wildly as it struggled to break free—but it was too late.

"Boom!"

A huge explosion erupted in the forest!

Violent energy violently impacted the surroundings, and a blinding light instantly enveloped the surrounding area, making it impossible to look directly at it.

Hou Jinhai raised an arm to shield his eyes as the impact shook the heavens and earth, a thunderous explosion echoing endlessly through the whole forest.

After everything calmed down, Hou Jinja immediately looked toward the place the Voidfang Dreamwolf was and saw that only scorched ground remained, and the corpse of the Voidfang Dreamwolf was nowhere to be found.

But before he could even react, the angel hovering in the air suddenly raised the bow in his hand and drew back the bowstring. Streams of glowing light gathered from all directions, converging rapidly and condensing into a single arrow as the bow was aimed straight at Hou Jinha.

Hou Jinhai's expression darkened.

He had not expected the angel to suddenly turn its hostility toward him.

In his current state, fighting against this angel head-on was nothing more than courting death. He knew very well that with his present strength, he stood no chance. The only option left was to find an opening—and escape.

"Stand down."

Just as panic began to rise in his chest, an icy voice sounded behind him.

At the same time, slow, deliberate footsteps were heard behind him.

Hou Jinhai turned around, and to his surprise, he saw a dark-skinned young man who appeared to be in his mid-twenties, with long dreadlocks, walking toward him.

Just as Hou Jinhai was still in shock, the system notification suddenly echoed throughout the entire forest.

[System Notification: Special Magic Beast—Voidfang Dreadwolf has been killed by Zayen.]

Looking at the system notification in front of him, Zayen—who had been walking toward Hou Jinha—suddenly stopped in his tracks.

At the same time, another system notification echoed throughout the entire forest once again.

[All participants who contributed to the defeat will receive corresponding rewards based on contribution level.]

"WHAT?! The Voidfang Dreadwolf was eliminated?!"

"Are you kidding me? Who the hell killed it?!"

"I was two kilometers away from the Voidfang Dreamwolf and even felt its powerful aura—someone actually survived that?!"

"Zayen? WHO IS ZAYEN?!"

"Wait—there were multiple contributors? That means a huge battle happened!"

"Yeah, even landing one hit counts as a contribution?"

"Hmph, what do you know? How many of you have such courage to fight a level 3 or 4 magic beast alone?"

"Do you guys think Level 5 magic beasts are that simple? Be grateful you even lived long enough to see the system message."

["System Notification: Calculation complete. Rewards for killing the level 5 special magic beast Voidfang Dreamwolf will now be distributed."

The moment the system notification concluded, streams of brilliant white light descended from above, wrapping around Zayen and Hou Jinja's whole bodies.
