Chapter 8 - Fight in the pantry

Entrance from the 7th floor of the Donjon:

Neze: Ready?

Me: Yeah, armor, weapon and supplies everything is ready. Objective to reach the western pantry.

Lyra: Do you already want to attack a pantry?

Me: Naaza asked me for some drop items so go directly to the monsters meeting point and that will allow me to train.

Neze: Ok, we will intervene if needed.

My encounter with the killer ants was quite cautious, they have a reputation for being rookie killers after all. But in Libya it is quite easily fought. This is largely thanks to my new blade. Cecil has done an exemplary job. For 20,000 valis, I already have a tier three weapon. According to her, this sword will kill everyone up to the minotaur on the 18th floor; then I'll need to change it.

She does not name these weapons but asks the police to name them herself and in view of the resemblance, I decided to name my sword Zireal.

(Note: If you want a visual, it's the sword of Ciri from Witcher 3, I have trouble describing the weapons well so the weapons that Tank will magnify will be weapons from other universes so that we can easily see what he is using)

Her cutting edge penetrating the ant's carapce she kills them very quickly. The only remaining danger is their mandibulla which has an enormous pressure force that can crush high level 1 armor. Their reinforcement ability also left me with little problem since I killed them before she had time to use it.

After an hour of walking and fighting, we arrived at the Pantry. My goal being the two types of butterflies, we hid while waiting for their arrival. After 1 and a half hours of waiting, a group of a dozen purple moths and three blue butterflies finally appeared.

In front of the large amount of poison that I was going to ingest in front of this number, I decided to swallow an antidote in advance and charge. The fight became extremely easy, the clouds of poisons affecting me before being purified by the antidote. Normally this kind of technique should be avoided because an antidote per fight is not profitable and would consume your stock much too quickly, but in the case of the pantry where the fight is almost continuous and has a much larger quantity of monsters, it proves to be very effective.

The fight in the pantry lasted 2 hours. In addition to the purples moth and blue origne butterflies, other monsters were added during the fight. In the end, I had a bumpy harvest of stones but especially of drop items. Including 3 killer ant shells. FINALLY! I will be able to finish this quest of the system and advanced.

Lyra: It's been quite a harvest, our bag is already well filled, but we are running out of antidotes and mana potion.

Neze: Without an antiode, the poison will accumulate and our health potion stock will melt.

Me: So we fold up, we had 4 pairs of blue moth wings and 3 whole vials of purple moth dust. That's more than enough. We will finish filling our stone bag as we go back up. By the way, we never talked about it but don't you want some profit? You have been following me for a week and I have never shared the revenues.

Neze: No, keep your earnings as long as you are in debt; you need it more than we do. The potions it's you who pays for them and we don't equip ourselves against monsters of this level. On the other hand, if you want, you can invite us to eat.

Me: Ok, let's do that, do you have a good address? I don't know the city yet.

Lyra: If you don't have a precise idea, there is always the hostess of fertility.

Ah so the hostess does exist in this world, good to know, but with the changes in families I wonder if it's the same?

Me: It looks more like a brothel than a restaurant.

Neze: It's a tavern run by a former adventurer, it's a bit expensive but it's delicious and they're not stingy on the portions.

Me: If that's what you wanted, ok we'll eat there tonight. Do we invite the others or are we only going all three?

Lyra: May all three, if you invite the whole family, you ruin yourself.

Me: Is it that expensive?

Neze: If you eat and drink well, it can easily cost 5 to 6 thousand yen per person.

Me: OK we only go there the three of us.

At the entrance of the seventh floor:

Neze: Well, we'll leave you, we're going to work on the 12th floor to win a little.

Me: Of course be careful.

Neze: Always

2 hours later guild hall:

Me: Hello Eina.

Eina: Hello Tank, you came back early today, a problem?

Me: No, I just ran out of antidote and my bag was full so I got back up. You see, I listen to your advice.

Eina: That's good, but what emptied all your antidotes?

Me: Not much, I just occupied a Pantry for 2 hours.

Eina: Oh I see... WHAT! Why did you do that?

Me: Well, there was a big group of purple moths and blue butterflies so I wanted the killers to fulfill my order for Naaza and by the time I finish them, other groups of monsters have arrived and so on. But I assure you, Neze and Lyra didn't have to help me, I managed the situation well.

Eina: If you say so, but be careful. Well, I imagine that you must have things to exchange. So you see, for the stones alone, there are 11,000 worth, and for the dorp items, 55,000. A beautiful harvest.

Me: Thank you Eina, you can give me 40,000 and keep the rest, I would like to start paying my debt.

Eina: Of course. It already costs you 26,000 to repay. Do you need anything else?

Me: No, that's all. Thank you, Eina, have a good day.

Eina: You too.

...

Misha: Why are you always the one who has the best adventurer. Mine, they are never so kind!

Eina: It must be the seriousness I think.

Misha: I'm serious!

Eina: Of course. Rose, is Misha serious?

Rose: That lazy girl? She's only serious when the boss is behind her.

Misha: But all this paperwork I can't take it anymore, that and the adventurers are annoying.

Eina: Are they always the same?

Misha: Yeah the family Soma... What possessed me to propose myself as a manager of this family...

Rose: You weren't, we just assigned you after you abandoned us all the extra work of the monsterphilia from two years ago.

Misha: ... ... ... I don't know what you're talking about...

Blue Hospital:

Me: Naaza! I have your order!

Naaza: Oh! What handsome thing do you bring me?

Me: 3 flasks of purple moth and 6 pairs of blue butterfly wings.

Naaza: In a morning of combat, where did you find all these monsters?

Me: At the pantry; and I occupied it for two hours.

Naaza: Effective but dangerous. Then a bottle of puple moth is bought at 10,000 jacks and a pair of wings sells for 15,000 jacks. So in total you just won 120,000 wallets.

Me: You can subtract the price of 5 mana potions and 10 antiodes. Occupying a pantry brings in but its cost is expensive in supplies.

Naaza: Of course, here are your 100,000 tickets and your potions. I gave you a small price on the potions for the speed of delivery. Do you think you will return to the pantry?

Me: Maybe in the future but not today nor tomorrow. Normally the girls will return with Alise and the others so I will have to explore more carefully so a pantry busy will become too dangerous. But if you need an urgent harvest tell me I can always ask for help.

Naaza: It works. Well, I'll leave you, I have materials to use.

Me: Ok, have fun, see you later.

[Congratulations user, you had completed your quest. reward: A better knowledge of magic]

And the reward is literal, a thick book with a green leaf cover appeared in my hands, titled: the magical structures by Artoria Ljost Alf. Who is she? An ancestor of Riveria? Given the latter's talent for this magic, I imagine that these ancestors must have been good mages too.
