Chapter 125 - 125: Two Supermen

While Green Lantern struggled, Wonder Woman and the others struck in unison.

Bang!

Clark's body slammed into the ground with bone-jarring force. Before he could react, Wonder Woman's sword swung toward him. Batman's ultrasonic interference had slightly delayed his movements, giving Diana the chance to kick him in the chest, sending him airborne.

Then a giant baseball bat, conjured by Green Lantern's ring, struck him. Even with a body of steel, Clark couldn't withstand the impact; his body collided with the ground hard.

Quickly recovering, Clark launched a counterattack.

"Hmph!"

Wonder Woman roared, swinging her magical sword. She respected Clark from the Justice League but was furious at his descent into chaos and felt compelled to redirect him. Acting on Batman's warning, she and her teammates attacked together.

Clark rolled on the ground, dodging her strikes, but Supergirl Kara shadowed his every move. Forced to defend, Clark unleashed Heat Vision, trying to repel Kara.

She responded instantly, dodging with precise lateral acceleration, her own eyes glowing with laser beams aimed directly at him.

Boom!

The energy struck his chest. Though Kara intentionally reduced the output, Clark felt sharp, burning pain. She kept him distracted while the others advanced. Landing near him, Kara glared down at him, steady and relentless.

"If you don't realize your mistake, I'll keep teaching you lessons, Kal," she said, her eyes flashing crimson.

"You don't understand me, you don't know me, so why play parent?!" Clark spat, clutching his chest, eyes blazing. "Stop lecturing me with your self-righteousness!"

Suppressing the pain, he moved to escape. Alone, he would have been confident—but facing four superpowered opponents, defeat seemed inevitable.

Bang!

Kara grabbed him mid-motion, her hand gripping his shirt as she activated her maximum speed. The two tore through the hotel wall like a comet, Clark absorbing the brunt of the impact against his back. They smashed through walls and the adjacent washroom before flying out to the Metropolis dock.

Kara threw him to the concrete, which cracked under his weight.

"I'm here to stop you, Kal," she said firmly, the determination in her eyes unyielding. "I'm taking you home."

"I'm not going anywhere, and you can't stop me!" Clark roared, wrapping his arms around Kara's neck in a desperate grapple. The sudden, dirty close-quarters maneuver gave him the opening he needed to throw her back.

Bang!

She slammed into a metal shipping container, denting it with her weight.

"This is the real me. You just can't accept it, so don't waste words!" Clark stood, chest heaving, determination blazing. He clenched his fists, muscles taut, and in one sharp motion, ripped open his shirt.

Whoosh!

The "S" symbol blazed across his chest, leaving Kara momentarily stunned. Clark advanced step by step.

Suddenly, a golden rope shot out, wrapping around him. Wonder Woman's Lasso of Truth bound him firmly.

Thud!

Diana landed, pulling the rope with all her strength. Clark was dragged down, immediately slammed into the ground with a thud. Fatigue and pain wracked his body, dizziness washing over him. He tried to rise, but his strength faltered.

With a clenched fist, Wonder Woman struck him again.

Bang!

The muffled sound of flesh meeting steel echoed through the night. But Clark's eyes widened in surprise—Adrian was there.

Adrian had appeared suddenly, intercepting Wonder Woman's punch. Her fist struck his shoulder instead.

This bastard… could his strength surpass Superman's?

Arms crossed, Adrian absorbed the blow effortlessly. Shaking his head at Diana, he unleashed Heat Vision from his eyes, sending her hurtling backward. Fortunately, her bracelets absorbed most of the energy.

Thud! Thud!

Before Wonder Woman could recover, Batman and Green Lantern landed. Supergirl Kara stood at the front. Together, the four faced Adrian.

Green Lantern whispered, "Two Supermen… even if immature, our chances aren't high."

"I don't intend to fight," Kara said, frowning.

"He's my brother," she added, firm.

"Yes," Green Lantern shrugged. "But you just beat Superman badly. Where was the brotherly sign there?"

"That was to awaken Kal," Kara replied.

"Uh-huh… but Adrian seems out for revenge," Hal said just as Adrian unleashed Heat Vision.

Kara dodged laterally, the beam slicing a metal container in half. The stacked boxes toppled, crashing with a deafening boom across the dock.

Adrian remained calm, watching the group. Their initial purpose had been to stop Clark. If they harmed him further, Adrian wouldn't remain a passive observer. Despite his frustrations, Clark was family, and seeing him beaten spurred Adrian to act.

Kara attempted to explain, but Wonder Woman's fury ignored reason. Twin swords slashed at Adrian, who easily evaded them, floating thirty centimeters above the ground, circling behind Diana.

Frustrated, Diana turned, striking at him again. Adrian moved forward, fists out, colliding with her chest. Bang!

Bodies met with a resounding impact. Wonder Woman's elbow absorbed his blow, yet she slammed backward, hitting the ground with a thud.

Adrian surpassed Wonder Woman in strength, speed, and endurance. He advanced toward her as Green Lantern and Kara joined the fight. Batman, observing, stayed back—his gadgets mostly depleted, his focus on stopping Clark rather than fighting Adrian.

Facing two attackers, Adrian took a step back, releasing Heat Vision that struck Green Lantern's protective shield, shattering it instantly.
