When I got home from the bookstore, my body finally reminded me that I hadn't eaten properly all day.
One of the servants had already laid out something light in the dining area. Just soup, some bread, and sliced fruit. I didn't have the appetite for anything heavy, so it was perfect.
I sat down quietly and ate on my own. I had dinner plans with Damien later this evening, so I didn't want to fill my stomach with so much food before we went out.
My mind drifted off to other things, particularly how today went.
I was happy that I was able to get the books and even happier that I bumped into Pedro again. I couldn't tell why, but it was starting to feel like everywhere I went, he's surprisingly always there.
I mean I wasn't complaining exactly, Pedro was good company and I was starting to enjoy his company. I didn't have too many friends, I barely even made friends so it only made sense to have his contact.
