"Multiform!"
Leon Ragnell crossed his hands and pressed—
another him split off on the spot.
Two minds at once.
The sensation was downright strange… and his power split with it: from twenty-four thousand into two at twelve thousand each.
Cell's improved Multiform still wasn't fully under his control.
Didn't matter.
At this stage he didn't need Multiform for combat anyway. He could take his time and study it later.
Right now, Leon craved one thing: to raise his battle power fast.
Looking at himself—literally—was a trip.
No extra chatter. One of the Leons kicked off the ground.
Flight.
Whoosh.
Leon arrowed for the Himalayas.
...
Kamar-Taj.
Doctor Strange hadn't arrived yet.
On the roof of the world, Leon spread his senses and locked onto his target within moments.
Tap.
He touched down.
Standing before him, in a hooded robe, was a woman—the Ancient One.
"Leon," she said.
Of course she knew who he was. You don't miss the guy who erased the U.S. Seventh Fleet with a single Kikoho (Tri-Beam). She'd even slipped in to swat mooks during the first Avengers incident; outwardly aloof, but with plenty of little calculations of her own.
Leon sized her up in turn.
Battle power—5.
He couldn't even feel much ki from her body.
So, she had her own way to conceal strength.
"Master Ancient One," Leon smiled, and went straight to the point. "I'm here to learn magic."
"You… want to learn magic?" The Ancient One blinked. "You need magic?"
From her view, Leon was already fearsome; an ordinary sorcerer would be no match. And he wanted to study under her?
You must be joking.
"Why not? I want to experience more possibilities," Leon said lightly.
Buu's cells, Namekian cells—both races boast real magical talent. Learning magic was practically the sensible next step.
The Ancient One frowned slightly, but did not refuse.
"Then, welcome," she said, taking a steadying breath.
A golden mandala bloomed, and Leon followed her circle into Kamar-Taj.
"Master!" Mordo strode up, ready to speak.
The Ancient One raised a hand. "This is Mr. Leon Ragnell. He's come to study at Kamar-Taj. I will be instructing him personally."
Everyone froze.
Personally instruct Leon?
Plenty of eyes turned green with envy.
How does this guy keep winning her favor?
…
After a brief introduction to Kamar-Taj, the Ancient One began her lecture.
Everything starts with the mind.
You use your mind to draw in the ambient arcane particles.
A sorcerer then trains technique and strengthens the spirit to wield that borrowed power—like how Strange, through long study at Kamar-Taj, mastered spells and mantras and can call upon the power of the Vishanti and other dimensions.
For Leon, none of this posed any problem.
Beyond the Turtle School and Crane School, he'd studied the Kami-style as well.
Kami-style—the path the gods used to train Goku.
Seated meditation.
Think Piccolo: legs crossed, body hovering—training all the same.
That's stillness training.
Pumping iron is movement training.
In the end, it's all about blending motion and stillness—
as quiet as the sky, as swift as lightning.
The faintest embryo of Ultra Instinct lay in that balance.
Vegeta never perfected that blend; that's why, no matter how hard he tried, keeping up with Goku was so hard.
The Ancient One was extreme stillness—meditation, sinking inward, increasing the power of the self.
Enter trance. Meditate.
Not hard.
Leon inhaled and slipped into state.
The Ancient One's eyes widened.
She felt magic thicken—wildly.
What had been a gentle stream of arcane particles became a broken dam, brilliant currents visible to the naked eye pouring from every direction into Leon's body.
A vast whirlpool of energy spun into being around him, a sudden wind rising from the pull.
The Ancient One stared.
He was devouring the magic.
Just how absurd was his talent?
A once-in-ten-thousand magical prodigy?
Leon, for his part, frowned. He could feel those particles converting straight into ki—
and if he wished, he could seemingly convert his own ki back into arcane particles.
In Dragon Ball, when Piccolo or Buu used "magic," nobody ever said they had a separate "mana bar." Maybe this was it—convert ki to arcane particles, then cast?
Dragon Ball never spelled it out, and he hadn't studied it then.
But ki… ki was kind of universal.
On Namek, Goku touched Krillin's head and learned everything that happened. That was ki-based, too.
Looks like I don't need to grind a new energy stat—just learn the techniques.
Leon opened his eyes. "Master Ancient One, could you teach me portals?"
He never learned Instant Transmission back home—regretful. But in the MCU, Sling Ring portals would do just fine.
The Ancient One drew a long breath. "Of course."
