A day later, Luffy was still sleeping soundly in his sickbed, not yet awake.
In the room, Chopper said admiringly, "So that's how it is! I didn't expect Zoro to be that strong, and Hawkeye is even stronger. The world is truly terrifying."
Usopp grinned smugly. "Chopper, you don't understand. When Zoro and Sandy teamed up to fight Hawkeye that day, they were outmatched. Just when their lives were hanging by a thread, do you know who saved them?"
Chopper's eyes widened. "Quick, tell me! What happened next?"
Tsk tsk tsk, Usopp said, looking up at the ceiling at a forty-five-degree angle, "It was me! Sandy was severely injured and had already fainted.
And when Hawkeye's sword was just a hair away from Zoro's throat, I shouted, 'Stop!' Hawkeye, intimidated by my Conqueror's Haki, stopped!"
"Sugoi!" Chopper's eyes sparkled. "What happened after that? Did you fight?"
Usopp straightened dramatically. "Cough cough. As the World's Greatest Swordsman, Hawkeye naturally has his pride. He's a sword fanatic.
When he met an opponent of my level, he had to face me. So we fought—a full ten days and nights above the Sea Restaurant, neither of us winning!"
Chopper's jaw dropped, sweat beading on his forehead. "Who won?!"
Usopp continued with a sigh. "Our sword energy split the clouds above. If we'd continued, it might never rain at the Sea Restaurant again, just like Alabasta, where it hasn't rained for three years.
We agreed to continue the match another time. Thinking back, it's truly nostalgic! I wonder how Hawkeye is doing now?"
Chopper's eyes sparkled again. "I didn't expect you to be so amazing, Usopp! From now on, you have to protect me, Usopp!"
Nami had just returned and witnessed the scene. She was shocked.
No one could brag as shamelessly, refreshingly, and unconventionally as Usopp. She admitted defeat silently.
Ignoring Usopp and Chopper, Nami asked, "Chopper, how is Luffy? It's been two days, why hasn't he woken up?"
Chopper replied, "Luffy is fine now. He should wake up today."
Nami looked around. "Where are Sandy, Zoro, and the others?"
Usopp ran to Nami and whispered, "Next door, but I advise you not to go over."
"Why?" Nami asked.
Usopp explained, "You know Zoro. After losing to Sandy, he's been competing with him all day. Now they're competing… at stacking cards."
Nami blinked. "Stacking cards? Show me."
Usopp immediately flopped to the ground. "Ah! I've contracted a disease that prevents walking! Chopper, burn more paper money for me! I'm dead…"
Chopper gasped. "Are you okay, Usopp?! Don't you have a duel with Hawkeye? You can't die!"
Nami pulled on Usopp's long nose. "Move it yourself!"
Next door, they saw Sandy and Zoro meticulously stacking cards: two cards leaned to form a triangle, a row at the bottom, then placing a flat card atop the tips, forming a massive triangular structure.
Vivi and Sanji stepped forward to stop Nami from interfering.
Nami whispered, "When did they start?"
Vivi replied, "Since this morning."
Usopp added, "If there's no result, won't they keep competing forever?"
Sandy, carefully placing cards, was secretly annoyed.
Why had he claimed to Zoro that his control over force was better that day? And now, thanks to Sanji, they were stuck in this ridiculous game.
Zoro, opposite him, raised an eyebrow and smirked. Sandy felt foolish. Why was he competing with Zoro at this?
Unable to take it, Sandy shouted, "Ah!"
Then, in a fit of frustration, he scratched his hair, ruined all the arranged cards, grabbed a handful, threw them on the floor, and stomped repeatedly.
"What kind of ridiculous game is this? Control of power? I'll kick! KICK! KICK!" Sandy went berserk.
Everyone stared in shock. Zoro, too, was startled by Sandy's sudden outburst.
Usopp tilted his head. "What's wrong with Sandy?"
Sanji commented, "He's probably extremely agitated."
Nami muttered, "Is Sandy a child?"
Just then, someone announced that Luffy had woken up, so everyone prepared to see him.
Zoro nudged Sandy. "You're not serious, are you?"
"Not serious?" Sandy replied angrily. "What kind of boring game is this? Sanji tricked us into playing this!"
Zoro said calmly, "Anyway, I won. Aren't you going to see Luffy?"
Sandy fumed. "You won? By stacking cards?"
Zoro smirked. "You gave up first, so I win! Hehehe…"
Sandy roared in fury, "Bastard! Eat my kick!"
Just as Zoro was about to retaliate—
"Duang…"
Nami sighed exasperatedly, "Honestly, haven't you two grown up yet?"
Vivi sighed in agreement. "You've really worked hard, Nami!"
Nami, laughing and crying at the same time, said, "You really understand me!"
Just then, Luffy appeared. "Yo! Everyone's here. Long time no see… huh? Why did I say long time no see?"
Sanji explained, "You were unconscious for over two days."
Luffy's eyes widened. "So that means I haven't eaten eight meals?"
Usopp exclaimed, "Why do you calculate so precisely, based on four meals a day?"
The head chef brought a cart of fruit. "You're all here. Fill your stomachs; the main meal will arrive soon."
Luffy grinned. "Auntie, I want lots and lots of meat!"
Sandy, lying on the ground, chimed in, "I want noodles! Mushrooms and meat slices, remember!"
The head chef nodded. "No problem, coming right up!"
The cart disappeared instantly, and everyone shouted in unison at Luffy, "Are you doing magic?!"
There was still some time before the main meal. Sandy's eyes gleamed. He definitely had to let Luffy experience a little fun too.
Stepping forward with a mischievous grin, Sandy asked, "Luffy, there's a really fun game. Want to play?"
Luffy's eyes sparkled. "Game?? Tell me quickly!"
Everyone exchanged dark, worried glances at Sandy's wolf-like eyes and mischievous grin.
