Chapter 30 - Red Empire

'How could it be possible?' Caden muttered silently. For some reason, in his heart.

He doubted the system.

How could he reach a realm beyond the Conquerors?

In the absence of Sword Level, Sword Grandmasters, or Mana Convergence Stage, Arch Mages.

Sword Level, Sword Masters, and Mana Convergence Stage, Mage Master reigned supreme.

In this world.

No matter how hard one climbs, 50% stops at Sword Level, Sword Elites

With 30% reaching the Sword Level, Sword Grand Masters, and Mana Convergence Stage, Arch Mages.

15% reach the Sword Level, Sword Great Grand Master, and Mana Convergence Stage, Grand Mage.

And only 5% reach the Sword Level of Sword General and the Mana Convergence Stage, Supreme Mage.

Sword Level, Sword Generals, and Mana Convergence Stage, Supreme Mages rule the world.

They're the true superpowers of their own continents. The higher the number of Sword Generals and Supreme Mages in a continent.

The stronger the continent. The Red Continent has the highest number of Sword Generals and Supreme Mages.

Making them a very destructive threat.

Once an entity reaches the Sword General cultivation stage. They could no longer evolve into the beyond.

And the same goes for the Mana Convergence Stage. Both levels could remain stagnant for hundreds of years.

But only those who were able to break the nearly unbreakable barrier and dive into a deep realm.

A realm beyond the Sword Generals and Supreme Mages.

They're known as Conquerors.

Only appearing once during the start of an Era. An era that exists once every ten thousand years.

The last era was the legendary immemorial era, the closest era to this world.

With its conqueror being a Redman. The Great Principality Supreme Conqueror.

With each conqueror living for thousands of years, reigning above all men in their era.

A conqueror is invincible in his own era. Not even Sword Generals or Supreme Mages could stand against him.

This is how mighty the title of a Conqueror is.

Although this is a stage Caden has always dreamt of since his Transmigration. He has never hoped of achieving such a feat

In the sky, a mega ship floated majestically, its hull and imposing presence that seemed to block out the sun.

The ship's surface was a complex of latticework of metal and technology, with towers and turrets jutting out at odd angles.

Two crimson flags fluttered in the breeze, attached to mast-like structures on either side of the ship.

One flag bore the image of a hand with three bleeding fingers, the symbol seeming to drip with a dark and foreboding energy.

The insignia of the seven continents' strongest military.

The other flag was adorned with a skull, its bony face grinning with a macabre and malevolent glee.

A bleeding crimson crown adorned the skull's head, adding a touch of regal and ominous flair to the symbol.

This is the insignia of House Riverrun.

Royalties of the Red Empire.

Below the mega ship is their home. A land famous for its massive size and population.

Ranking at the top of the largest continents, boasting of having the strongest military in the world.

This is the Red Continent.

The mega ship was surrounded by hundreds of medium-sized battleships, all bearing the same flags.

This mega ship is one of the Red Continent's strongest military bases.

Ruling from the sky. This is where he commands.

***

The interior of the mega ship was a marvel of advanced technology, with sleek metallic corridors and humming engines that seemed to vibrate through every surface.

Inside one of the thousands of rooms, a crimson-haired figure stood in a grand and opulent chamber.

With towering ceilings and walls lined with intricate panels of glowing circuitry.

The figure, dressed in a long, crimson robe that flowed behind him, like a blood, stood facing a tall, ornate mirror.

With the insignia of House Riverrun imprinted on his back.

His back was turned to the entrance, and he seemed lost in contemplation, his gaze fixed on his reflection.

The wrinkles on his face were evident. This was a man who was in his mid-seventies, and yet.

His presence caused the world to quiver in fear of his mighty wrath.

A knock came from his door, "Come in" He commanded.

The door clanged open afterwards, revealing a major who stepped into the dark room.

The major gulped, swallowing his saliva, his footsteps echoed off the walls, breaking the silence.

The major's armor was impeccable, his helmet tucked under his arm, and his eyes fixed on the figure in red.

He approached with a measured pace, his voice low and respectful as he began his report.

"Lord General...I, Major Russel, will make my report before thee." The major bowed his head.

"Speak!" The mysterious figure in red uttered in a commanding tone. Despite speaking so calmly.

His voice thundered across the room, sending shivers down the major's spine.

"Due to the fact that all seven spies we had implanted in the Red Crescent Kingdom had vanished…."

"We quickly ordered a spy from another supreme kingdom to investigate the missing spies"

"He did as commanded and only four corpses of our spies were found" the major reported.

"...."

Silence reigned for a few minutes before the mysterious figure on red decided to speak "It seems there's something going on in that Kingdom that we don't know" He spoke.

"What about the rest?" He asked.

The major gulped as he bowed his head quickly, "Lord General, the rest, they're still missing, presumed dead I supposed" the major reported.

The mysterious figure on red softly exhaled "If that's so, then we shall send more spies down there"

"Were we able to figure out who the attacker was?" The mysterious figure questioned.

"Uh…uhmmm, no, Lord General, it doesn't seem that their identities were exposed for now," the major explained.

The mysterious figure on red nodded, "I see, well that should be fine….prepare seven spies for departure," He instructed.

He sighed deeply "My elder brother Rozen will be dying soon, his desires will be passed onto his children"

"And under the leadership of my dear nephews. We shall conquer the world" His eyes gleamed.

His lips curled into a faint smile, and the major instantly fell on his knees, bowing his head before the mysterious figure on red.

"Lord General, just as the prophecy told the Emperor. The Reds shall be the rulers of this world"

"And just like the Great Principality Supreme Conqueror ruled his era. The Reds will rule this world" the major declared.

The mysterious figure in red wore a lopsided grin, slightly tilting his gaze to see the major who was still on his knees.

"It's good to still see the youths burning with passion" He stated, gently stroking his crimson beard "Now over to the next topic"

"Any news on Caden Ryder?" He questioned.

The major slowly rose up from his knees, he shook his head "Not at all your grace, but we have our special spy Benjamin Ortega in Morningstar"

"When Caden returns… he will surely die," the major stated.

The mysterious figure suddenly shook his head. "That won't be the best case scenario," He calmly spoke.

"Benjamin was an agent of the Empire that I had specifically placed in Morningstar for a reason"

"Just as I placed a trusted spy in Dragon Heart Kingdom as well. These agents of mine all serve their own purposes"

"They're designated to cripple these leaders once the time is right" He paused for a second, "So we won't risk exposing Benjamin for now"

"Order Benjamin not to make any move against the foolish boy whose name is Caden Ryder"

"The royal academies will be starting soon" He paused for a second, "I'll prepare his executioner...the perfect assassin to take out that little runt." His white teeth shone.

His eyes flickered, exposing his deep murderous intent "In a matter of time, the Purples will cease to exist"

"With their extinction. No one will dare defy the Empire, not even the White Continent!"
