Chapter 32 - Shura Field

The Uranus, a starship from the Interstellar Military Academy, had steadily docked in the port.

"Hmph."

As the side hatch of the warship opened, a man and a woman descended from the ship via the gangway. The man was handsome and dashing, and the woman was stunningly beautiful.

The cadets below looked at the two with a bit of bewilderment.

The man in front looked somewhat familiar, but more importantly, he was already a major general at such a young age?

Damn, I remember now! Isn't that Adrian Vale? How did he become a major general after only two months? His promotion speed is terrifying!

As for the woman behind him, no one recognized her, but that didn't matter; it didn't stop everyone from being shocked by Lena Sterling's stunning beauty.

Her beauty was no less than Adeline Hart's, and coupled with being three years older than Adeline and the unique temperament forged by years of military life, she absolutely captivated everyone.

However, among the cadet ranks, one person's focus was different from everyone else's.

Adeline Hart was staring at Lena Sterling, who was behind Adrian. Perhaps a woman's intuition was simply too sharp; she felt an indescribable sense of threat emanating from Lena.

"Adrian, you're finally here. I've tried to find that kid Marcus Sterling several times, and he always told me you were in seclusion and couldn't leave for now."

As the two descended the gangway, Dean Malcolm Reid immediately came forward to greet them.

"I'm truly sorry, Dean. I was in seclusion for a month, focusing on tackling an important technology."

"It's fine, as long as you're here. I'm entrusting these cadets to you!"

"Alright!"

After speaking, Adrian led Lena to the front of the cadet formation.

"Let me introduce myself first. My name is Adrian Vale, I'm 19 years old, hold the rank of Major General, and am currently the commander of the 101st Mixed Fleet."

It was a simple self-introduction, but Adrian even heard someone below gulping.

After all, a 19-year-old major general was quite shocking, definitely the youngest major general in the history of the Federation.

"Next, I will share as much of my experience from actual combat as possible with you. In one hour, everyone will gather in the academy's lecture hall. You are now dismissed!"

As the crowd gradually dispersed, a female cadet remained standing, looking at Adrian. It was Adeline Hart.

"Long time no see!"

Adrian approached Adeline, greeting her.

"It has been a long time. You said you'd become a general within a year, and you've done it in two months!"

"I didn't expect it to be this fast either!"

"So, do you want me to fulfill our original bet?"

Uh... When did this girl become so direct?

Adrian had made a bet with Adeline back then: if he became a general within a year, Adeline would be his girlfriend.

Normally, Adrian would definitely say, of course, it must be fulfilled.

But what the hell could he say now? He felt a chill down his spine; no doubt, Lena was glaring at him from behind.

Just as Adrian didn't know what to do, Lena Sterling's voice came from behind him.

"What bet? Sounds interesting, please do tell me about it!"

"Well, it's nothing really. Adrian just bet with me that he could become a general within a year, and if he succeeded, I would become his girlfriend."

"Sigh, how can such an important life event be used for a bet? That's really inappropriate. I think we should just forget about this bet!"

"No, since someone from the Hart family agreed, there's no reason to go back on their word!"

"I said, why are you so stubborn, child?"

"After all, this is between us younger generations. I think this auntie doesn't need to get involved, does she?"

"Hehe, this cadet seems to have misunderstood the proper address, hasn't she?"

"Is that so? I've always been taught that women over 20 should be respectfully addressed as 'auntie,' otherwise it's quite impolite!"

"It seems there are serious problems with the Hart family's education!"

Watching the two women chatting with smiles on their faces, Adrian felt that these two women were simply devils.

If you hadn't heard what they said, and only saw their expressions during the conversation, you would definitely think they were a pair of very close sisters.

But the key is, listen to what they said? Every sentence was practically a stab to the heart.

"I say, Adrian, when did you get involved with that kid Marcus Sterling's daughter?"

Dean Malcolm Reid also heard the two women's conversation and took two steps forward to Adrian's side, asking with a smile.

"Dean, even you're making fun of me. The matter between Lena and me is quite complicated, and it's not something that can be explained in a few words."

"Then how do you plan to handle this situation?"

Seeing Dean Malcolm Reid looking at him with a mischievous smile, Adrian was a bit speechless. What else could he do? Just deal with it head-on.

"Cadet Adeline Hart, did you not hear me say dismissed just now? Why aren't you hurrying back to prepare? Also, Adjutant Lena Sterling, are you too idle and have nothing to do but chat here?"

Adrian suddenly exuded the authority of a superior, and this loud shout instantly startled both women.

Both women instantly widened their eyes, looking at Adrian with disbelief.

Dean Malcolm Reid on the side secretly gave a thumbs-up, full of admiration.

"I'll be going to the Mars base after graduation. Adrian will be on loan to you for a few months for now!"This was Adeline.

"Always welcome. I'll make sure to put you through your paces then!"This was Lena.

After they each spoke, they exchanged a glance, then turned and went their separate ways. Adeline walked towards the campus, while Lena came to Adrian's side.

Seeing the two separate, Adrian let out a slight sigh of relief. Just as he was about to call Dean Malcolm Reid to enter the campus together, he heard a soft voice beside him, audible only to him.

"Don't touch me for a month!"

Pfft... Adrian turned to look at Lena, who was sulking, feeling a bit helpless. It seemed the plan for a big and small wife would be a long and arduous journey.

At 3 PM, Adrian arrived at the grand lecture hall of the Interstellar Military Academy. The moment he stepped inside, a system sound echoed in his mind!

"Ding, deliver a speech that will shock the entire audience. (Completion grants Quantum Communication Technology as a reward.)"

Adrian checked the mission. To be honest, the requirement of a hundred types of formation changes would be extremely difficult even for Admiral Marcus Sterling, but for Adrian, it was practically a mission that handed out rewards.

It should be noted that since Adrian obtained the system, he had experienced at least thousands of fleet battles, and his opponents were all simulated by the system based on various interstellar civilizations.

In this process, the formations and methods of changing formations Adrian had seen were not just a hundred, but several hundred.

Walking to the podium, Adrian surveyed the more than 300 command cadets below before speaking.

"Cadets, today we will be covering a lot of material, some of which may even overturn the textbooks you hold. Therefore, I have only one requirement during my lecture!"

Adrian paused, looked deeply at Dean Malcolm Reid and the instructors who were sitting in on the lecture, and then uttered a sentence that caused an uproar among everyone!

"Forget those useless knowledge in your textbooks!"
