This time, Yu Yachen didn't care that she was filthy. She just carried her home, wiped her tears, and took a bath with her.
It was the first time she had washed Yelena's body. She let her take the day off from school and just... stayed with her. Yelena was very clingy.
That day, Yu Yachen tried things she'd never done before: brushing Yelena's teeth, feeding her, letting her sit on her lap while she read. She took care of her like an infant.
She never snuck out at night again.
The little rabbit's body heat... was freezing in the winter.
But... Yu Yachen couldn't stand seeing her cry. The memory of her wailing "Sister"... it was... heartbreaking.
Thinking of this, Yu Yachen felt annoyed. She wasn't like this before. The same thing had happened with Alina. Am I... getting soft?
She'd always found kids troublesome. She'd never met a kid like Yelena. Am I only soft... for specific people?
Good thing Yelena is just a simulation. If this were real, Yu Yachen would be in trouble.

It was more pity than affection. Yu Yachen realized she had softened. Because of Yelena.

Night fell. Yu Yachen made dinner, helped Yelena with homework, and sent her to shower. She sat on the sofa with a manga.
Even in this life, she still loved manga. She had just found her page when she remembered... she'd left her clean clothes in the bathroom.

The bathroom was foggy. Yelena was on her tiptoes, pulling Yu Yachen's shirt from the towel rack. She carefully buried her face in the collar, inhaling deeply. The clothes were clean, but they still carried her sister's unique, cold fragrance.
Her rabbit ears trembled... not noticing the door being silently unlocked.
"Yelena."
The sudden, cold voice made the rabbit freeze. The shirt "splatted" onto the wet floor.
She turned her head stiffly. Yu Yachen was leaning against the doorframe, arms crossed. Beneath her mist-dampened eyelashes, her pale cyan eyes held a dangerous glint.
Yelena's face, already flushed, turned crimson.
