Faced with the sudden appearance of Rock Lee. Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura were all a bit bewildered. Only Goku remained completely calm.
He had known for a while that someone was nearby, but since he hadn't sensed any killing intent, he had paid it no mind.
Rock Lee stared at Sasuke with excitement.
Earlier that day, while burning with the passion of youth and practising walking on his hands, he had wandered into this forest and heard the sounds of a fight.
He had followed the sound and witnessed the spar between Naruto and Sasuke.
At first, he hadn't thought much of their fight. He felt that while their skills were decent, he could easily defeat them after opening the Eight Gates.
But then, the power Sasuke displayed when he flared his aura had made his eyes light up.
He was shocked to discover that in that state, Sasuke was strong enough to rival him with the Eight Gates open! Eager for a worthy opponent to help him grow stronger, faster, he had made a quick decision to challenge him.
That was why he had now stepped onto the field and issued his declaration of a duel.
Across from him, Sasuke snapped out of his daze and began to size him up. 'A green jumpsuit... and a bowl cut. What a weird look.'
Sasuke's mouth twitched as he took in his opponent's appearance. But his attention was quickly drawn to the tightly wound bandages on the boy's hands.
The once-white bandages were stained with conspicuous dark brown patches—clearly, old bloodstains!
'This person...' Sasuke narrowed his eyes. Seeing the evidence of intense training on his hands and sensing the impressive aura emanating from him, he felt a surge of excitement.
This opponent was definitely not weak! And as it happened, he hadn't gotten his fill from the previous fight.
If this opponent was skilled enough to force him to power up...
At this thought, he looked at him and replied, "My name is Sasuke Uchiha. I accept your challenge!"
In the clearing, Sasuke and Rock Lee stood facing each other. Beside them, Goku acted as the referee, while Naruto and Sakura served as the audience.
"Go, Sasuke! Don't lose to that thick-eyebrowed weirdo!" Sakura cheered, pumping her fists.
"Damn it, that guy gets to be in the spotlight again. Why didn't thick-eyebrows challenge me?" Naruto grumbled, cupping his face in his hands with a look of annoyance.
"Come on, let me see what you've got!" On the field, Rock Lee turned slightly to the side, placed one hand behind his back, and gestured for Sasuke to come at him with the other, as if he didn't take him seriously at all.
In reality, however, he was not underestimating Sasuke in the slightest. This was his standard opening stance.
But Sasuke didn't know that and thought Lee was looking down on him, which sparked a flicker of anger. 'Looking down on me? Then be prepared to be defeated!'
With that thought, his figure flickered, and he instantly appeared behind Rock Lee, throwing a powerful straight punch at his head.
Swoosh!!
But the punch hit nothing but air. At some point, Rock Lee's figure had dissipated like a bubble, causing his attack to miss completely!
Sasuke's pupils constricted. He sensed a ki suddenly appear behind him and immediately knew Lee was attacking from the rear. Without a second thought, he dodged to the side.
BOOM!!
Just as he moved, a heavy foot came crashing down where he had just been standing, carving a small crater in the ground.
Rock Lee retracted his leg, a little surprised that his kick had missed, but this only confirmed that he had chosen the right opponent.
If Sasuke had been hit so easily, it would have meant his judgment was flawed, and his opponent was not worthy of being his rival!
Having dodged the attack, Sasuke caught a glimpse of the power of Lee's kick out of the corner of his eye and thought, 'Such incredible strength!'
With this initial assessment of his opponent's power, his expression turned serious.
Nearby, Goku watched their exchange with a smile, his arms crossed. 'This kid is pretty skilled. Sasuke met his match this time.'
On the field.
Thud, thud, thud!!
Smack, smack, smack!
At some point, Sasuke and Rock Lee had clashed once again.
Sasuke raised his knee and drove it forward like a thunderclap, aiming for Lee's abdomen! Lee pressed down with both hands, solidly catching the blow.
Seeing his attack fail, Sasuke followed up with a powerful hook aimed at Lee's cheek, the force of the punch stirring the air!
This time, Lee did not block it head-on but instead took a quick step back, narrowly avoiding the blow.
He then exploded with power from his hips, a tremendous force instantly transferring through his waist to his thigh, and then to his calf.
Swoosh!!
In an instant, his leg shot out like an iron whip, lashing towards Sasuke's face with lightning speed and ferocious power!
Seeing the vicious attack coming, Sasuke ducked without thinking. But he never expected that this was actually a combination move.
"Leaf Whirlwind!"
After the initial high kick swept over Sasuke's head, Lee didn't stop its momentum. Instead, he used its inertia to spin his body around.
After a full rotation in the air, his leg, now a whipping blur, came sweeping horizontally towards the ducking Sasuke!
!!
Faced with this attack, Sasuke had no way to dodge. He could only cross his arms in front of him in an attempt to block it head-on.
BAM!!
Lee's leg slammed violently into his arms. An immense, overwhelming force was transmitted through the block, sending him flying backwards.
'Such power!' Having taken the hit directly, he had a much clearer understanding of his opponent's strength. It was even greater than he had initially estimated!
And just then, as he was still flying through the air, Rock Lee appeared beneath him and launched another kick!
'Not good! How can he be so fast?'
Suddenly sensing Lee's ki appear below him, Sasuke's pupils shrank, and the hair on his body stood on end.
A moment ago, Lee's ki hadn't been within ten meters of him. How could he have suddenly appeared right beneath him?
Could his speed really allow him to cross ten meters in an instant?
What he didn't know was that his opponent was using a taijutsu technique that dramatically increased his speed. Its name was—
Shadow of the Dancing Leaf!
POW!!
In this situation, he had no time to react and was kicked even higher into the air by Lee.
Then, Lee bent his knees and pushed off the ground with tremendous force.
Swoosh!!
His body shot towards Sasuke like an arrow released from a bow, quickly surpassing him and positioning himself above him.
Once he was in position, Lee raised his leg and brought it down in a brutal axe kick!
'Damn it!'
Sasuke raised his arms to block, but his body was sent hurtling uncontrollably toward the ground at an incredible speed.
BOOM!!!
With a tremendous crash, a cloud of dust and smoke billowed up from the ground, obscuring the view.
"Sasuke!!" Seeing him take such a heavy blow, Sakura cried out and was about to rush forward to check on him, but a large hand stopped her.
"Don't worry. Sasuke won't be defeated that easily," Goku said calmly, his eyes fixed on the field, as if he already knew the outcome.
And sure enough, when the dust settled, a figure enveloped in a white aura of ki appeared before their eyes.
"Now, I'll show you my true power!"
Sasuke lifted his head and looked at Rock Lee, who had just landed on the ground, and spoke with grim determination.
