Chapter 12 - C12 – Spit out the money

"Humph, it's good that you know me. I'm warning you, don't you dare speak a word about today, or I'll make sure you regret it. Now get lost," Cai Xiaoqiang snarled.

"Not so fast, I want to show you something," Jiang Feng replied.

Jiang Feng raised the photo he had just taken and placed it in front of Cai Xiaoqiang.

Cai Xiaoqiang took a look and saw the scene of him and Yu Xiaohong in action. His eyes widened in fury, and he shouted, "How dare you!"

"Heh, what if I did? At least I'm not as despicable as you," Jiang Feng sneered.

"Who the hell are you?" Cai Xiaoqiang demanded.

"My father's name is Jiang Jianjun. You should know him," Jiang Feng said.

"Jiang Jianjun?" Cai Xiaoqiang was taken aback, then frowned. "You're Jiang Jianjun's son?"

Jiang Jianjun was an old employee at their factory, someone Cai Xiaoqiang remembered well. It was he who had personally fired Jiang Jianjun not long ago.

"That's right, it's me," Jiang Feng said. "I'm here today to collect the wages my father is owed."

Cai Xiaoqiang had already guessed the reason when he learned of Jiang Feng's identity. He had indeed withheld twenty thousand yuan from Jiang Jianjun and had no intention of paying it back.

"Bullshit. Your father already resigned from my factory. How could he still have wages due? You must be mistaken," Cai Xiaoqiang denied flatly.

Of course, he wouldn't admit it. Once he did, there would be no end to the trouble.

He hadn't just withheld money from Jiang Jianjun; there were many others he had shortchanged. Otherwise, how could he be so wealthy?

"You're not going to admit it?" Jiang Feng's eyes turned icy.

Cai Xiaoqiang was startled, taking a half-step back, but then he stepped forward again and said, "Do you have any written proof? If not, stop making baseless accusations, or I'll sue you for slander."

Cai Xiaoqiang's aggressive stance made it clear he wouldn't admit to anything easily. He had seen plenty of storms and wasn't about to be intimidated by a young man.

Jiang Feng laughed. Since Cai Xiaoqiang refused to admit it, there was nothing more to say.

"In that case, I'll just have to make these photos public and let everyone see your disgusting face," Jiang Feng said.

Cai Xiaoqiang's expression changed immediately but quickly turned vicious. "Go ahead, make them public. I'm not afraid. Everyone already knows about it. I'm a grown man; do you think I'm scared of this?"

Cai Xiaoqiang was determined to play the tough guy, convinced that Jiang Feng wouldn't dare do anything to him.

"What if I say you were committing rape? Wouldn't that be more exciting?" Jiang Feng said with a faint smile.

"Uh..." Cai Xiaoqiang was stunned.

If Jiang Feng really spread such rumors, his reputation would be ruined, and it would attract police scrutiny, making things even more complicated.

"Let's talk this over. There's no need to push someone to the edge. Since you say I owe your father wages, we need some proof. As long as you provide it, I'll pay every penny," Cai Xiaoqiang's tone softened.

"Proof? Ha, if I had proof, would I need to come to you like this? It's laughable," Jiang Feng scoffed.

"How about this, you delete the photos, and I'll give you a thousand yuan. Let's call it even," Cai Xiaoqiang offered.

"A thousand yuan?" Jiang Feng said. "Are you trying to brush off a beggar?"

"What do you want then?" Cai Xiaoqiang asked.

"Simple, just hand over my father's wages," Jiang Feng said. "Otherwise, these filthy photos will be all over the streets tomorrow."

"Are you threatening me?" Cai Xiaoqiang's face darkened.

"Yes, I am. What are you going to do about it?" Jiang Feng said disdainfully.

Cai Xiaoqiang's face twisted with rage, but he was helpless. The evidence was in Jiang Feng's hands, and he had no choice but to comply.

But Cai Xiaoqiang wasn't someone to be trifled with. He wouldn't let this go easily.

"Fine, I'll give you the money, but you have to delete all the photos," Cai Xiaoqiang said.

"Sure, hand over the money first," Jiang Feng agreed immediately.

Gritting his teeth, Cai Xiaoqiang went to his car's trunk and took out twenty thousand yuan.

"Here, we're even now. Don't come looking for me again," Cai Xiaoqiang threw the money to Jiang Feng.

Jiang Feng grabbed the twenty thousand yuan, feeling much more at ease. His father's hard-earned money was finally recovered.

"Do you think this is enough?" Jiang Feng asked.

"Isn't this the amount? Are you trying to extort more from me?" Cai Xiaoqiang seemed to realize something.

"Yes, I'm extorting you. You've held onto this money for so long; you should at least pay some interest," Jiang Feng said.

Cai Xiaoqiang was furious. This kid was pushing him too far.

"Kid, don't be greedy. It won't end well for either of us," Cai Xiaoqiang said, barely containing his anger.

"No, you're wrong. I'm just taking back what we're owed, with a little interest," Jiang Feng said. "And remember, ill-gotten gains will eventually have to be returned, or they'll choke you."

"Humph, then we have nothing more to say," Cai Xiaoqiang was already enraged.

He had never encountered such a situation before and had never been threatened by anyone.

"You're asking for it!"

Cai Xiaoqiang mustered all his strength and threw a punch.

Bang!

But the punch didn't land on Jiang Feng. Instead, Jiang Feng's fist struck Cai Xiaoqiang.

"Ah!"

Cai Xiaoqiang screamed in pain, falling to the ground, looking at Jiang Feng in terror.

What speed! It was so fast.

He often watched boxing matches and felt that Jiang Feng's speed was faster than top boxers.

And the force of the punch was heavy, as if it would break him apart.

He didn't know what kind of existence he was facing. Jiang Feng was a super powerful figure.

Although Jiang Feng hadn't reached Foundation Establishment yet, he had already condensed a trace of Spiritual Energy in his body. Even a tiny bit of Spiritual Energy was beyond what an ordinary person could withstand.

Jiang Feng stepped forward and pressed his foot on Cai Xiaoqiang's chest, coldly saying, "Do you want to try again?"

"I don't believe it. What can a young punk like you do?" Cai Xiaoqiang pushed Jiang Feng's foot away and jumped up, throwing another punch at Jiang Feng.

Jiang Feng smiled calmly, thinking, "This guy doesn't know when to quit. Fine, I'll teach you a lesson."

Slap!

In a flash, Jiang Feng slapped Cai Xiaoqiang.

"You slapped me," Cai Xiaoqiang touched his face.

Slap!

Jiang Feng slapped him again.

Cai Xiaoqiang was dumbfounded.

Slap, slap, slap!

Jiang Feng continued to slap him, leaving Cai Xiaoqiang completely dazed.

Cai Xiaoqiang knelt on the ground like a beaten dog, his face swollen and red like a hot dog bun.

"Stop hitting me, I was wrong. I'm sorry, I'm sorry to you and your father. I'm not even human," Cai Xiaoqiang pleaded.

"If you're not human, what are you?" Jiang Feng asked indifferently.

"Uh..." Cai Xiaoqiang's mind raced. "A dog, yes, I'm a despicable dog."

"Heh, I think you're worse than a dog," Jiang Feng said with a faint smile.

"Yes, yes, I'm worse than a dog. Please, let me go," Cai Xiaoqiang nodded repeatedly.

He didn't care about his dignity anymore, as long as Jiang Feng would leave quickly.

"Then pay the interest. Do that, and I'll let you go, and I'll delete the photos," Jiang Feng said.

"Okay, wait here. I'll get it for you," Cai Xiaoqiang didn't dare waste any more time and ran to the car trunk to get more money.

"This is my last thirty thousand yuan. Take it, that's all I have," Cai Xiaoqiang handed the money to Jiang Feng.

Jiang Feng didn't hesitate, taking the money and weighing it in his hand. Yes, it was indeed thirty thousand yuan.

Today, he not only recovered the twenty thousand yuan owed to his father but also got an extra thirty thousand. It exceeded his expectations.

He was very satisfied.

Contentment brings happiness!

"Alright, this matter is settled. We're even now. I'm leaving," Jiang Feng turned to leave.

"Wait, what about the photos..." Cai Xiaoqiang called out.

Jiang Feng paused, almost forgetting about that.

"Don't worry, I keep my word. I won't go back on it," Jiang Feng turned around and deleted all the photos in front of Cai Xiaoqiang.

Seeing his compromising photos deleted, Cai Xiaoqiang finally felt relieved and let out a long breath.

But as Jiang Feng walked away, his face turned dark again.

"Humph, daring to mess with me, I'll make sure you regret it," Cai Xiaoqiang gritted his teeth. "Jiang Jianjun, you have a good son, but just wait. I'll make sure your whole family falls apart."

...

Jiang Feng returned home with fifty thousand yuan.

At this moment, his parents were anxiously looking outside the door.

When his mother, Zhang Mei, saw Jiang Feng, she quickly approached and asked, "Little Feng, where have you been? Your father and I were worried sick, searching for you everywhere."

"Yes, Little Feng, did something happen?" Jiang Jianjun asked.

"Mom, Dad, I just went for a walk in the back mountain and picked some herbs, so I came back a bit late," Jiang Feng smiled.

"That's good, as long as you're okay. Come in and eat," Zhang Mei pulled Jiang Feng into the yard.

"Don't come back so late next time. There are wild animals in the mountains, and it could be dangerous," Jiang Jianjun warned.

"Got it, Dad," Jiang Feng nodded.

The family of three sat at the dining table and started eating. The food had been covered for a while and was a bit cold.

But it didn't matter; Jiang Feng still ate with great appetite.

"Little Feng, how are your grades now?" Jiang Jianjun suddenly asked.

Jiang Feng paused and then said, "Not good at the moment. There's still a big gap compared to other students."

Jiang Feng's poor grades were a fact, and there was no need to hide it.

Hearing this, Jiang Jianjun looked disappointed and sighed lightly.

He had always had high hopes for Jiang Feng, hoping he could get into a prestigious university and make something of himself, not following in his footsteps.

His own life was hopeless, so he pinned all his hopes on Jiang Feng.

Mother Zhang Mei also looked worried about Jiang Feng's grades.

At this rate, it seemed unlikely he would get into college.
