Chapter 15 - C15 – Break one of your hands

"No need, just bring him to me tomorrow. I need to get some sleep," Jiang Feng said.

It was the middle of the night, and he didn't want to make a fuss that might disturb his parents' rest. Whatever needed to be dealt with could wait until tomorrow.

"Yes, I'll catch him first thing in the morning," Lü Shaguang replied, not daring to defy Jiang Feng's orders.

"Good. Tomorrow morning, meet me at the back mountain," Jiang Feng's face suddenly darkened, his voice stern. "Remember, don't try any tricks. The consequences will be severe if you do."

"I wouldn't dare. I'll complete the task as instructed," Lü Shaguang assured repeatedly.

"Alright, get lost," Jiang Feng commanded.

"Yes." Lü Shaguang stood up to leave.

The bearded man also prepared to leave.

"Wait, what about them? Take them with you," Jiang Feng pointed to the three unconscious men on the ground.

Without a word, Lü Shaguang quickly grabbed two of them and dragged them away.

The bearded man, not daring to disobey, pulled the last one out of the courtyard like a dead dog.

Jiang Feng watched them leave, feeling indifferent. They were just a bunch of small fry, useful for handling tasks so he wouldn't have to dirty his own hands.

"Little Feng, is that you? What's going on outside?" His father's voice came from inside the house.

Jiang Jianjun had been sleeping soundly but woke up to the sound of voices and called out to inquire.

"Dad, it's me. I just went to the bathroom," Jiang Feng replied.

He didn't plan to tell his father about these matters to avoid causing him any worry.

"Oh, be careful then," Jiang Jianjun said, not doubting his son's words.

"Okay," Jiang Feng responded, then glanced around the courtyard to ensure everything was in order before hurrying back to his room.

The disturbance had robbed Jiang Feng of his sleepiness, so he decided to cultivate instead.

Jiang Feng took out the Spirit Stone he had obtained from the back mountain earlier that day, holding it in his palm and slowly absorbing its energy.

Time flew by, and soon it was dawn.

Hoo!

Jiang Feng exhaled a breath of turbid air, his eyes opening, now more vibrant and filled with boundless energy.

A thin layer of yellowish sweat covered his body, a sign of his body being refined by Spiritual Energy, indicating a fruitful night.

Jiang Feng stood up, examined his body, and smiled, "Great, tonight wasn't wasted. My dantian has accumulated a significant amount of True Qi, several times more than before. At this rate, I'll reach the Foundation Establishment level in a few days."

He looked at the slightly dimmed Spirit Stone in his hand and said, "This Spirit Stone can definitely last until then."

Stepping out of his room, Jiang Feng noticed it was still early, and his parents hadn't woken up yet. He took the opportunity to start his morning exercises in the courtyard.

He began with some basic exercises like frog jumps and push-ups, then practiced a set of Azure Dragon Lion Tiger Strength.

The sounds of his palms and fists were powerful, creating a fierce and intimidating aura.

Though he had practiced enough, he couldn't afford to slack off, always preparing for Foundation Establishment.

His body was naturally weak, and without training, he wouldn't keep up with his cultivation. Even if he had enough True Qi, a weak body would prevent him from reaching the first level of the Nine Heavens Tyrant Body Technique.

Both cultivation and physical training had to go hand in hand, like two legs needed to walk. Neglecting one would hinder progress.

Thus, daily morning and evening exercises were essential.

After an hour of training, Jiang Feng was drenched in sweat, mixed with the previous yellowish sweat, making his body sticky, like being coated in honey, but with a faintly fishy smell instead of sweetness.

Jiang Feng knew this was the result of expelling impurities from his body.

With a wry smile, he quickly took a shower. Without it, he couldn't step out of the house.

After showering, Jiang Feng stood in the courtyard, enjoying the warmth of the early sun, his pores opening, making him feel comfortable all over.

"Little Feng, you're up so early. Why not sleep a bit more? It's Sunday, after all," his mother, Zhang Mei, said as she walked out and saw him standing still in the courtyard.

"Hehe, I'm used to getting up early at school. If I don't, I feel uneasy," Jiang Feng replied with a smile.

"Well, just make sure to take care of yourself. I'll go make breakfast for you," Zhang Mei nodded and went to the kitchen.

Soon, a sumptuous breakfast was laid out on the table.

Normally, his parents wouldn't go to such lengths for breakfast, but since Jiang Feng was home, they made it special.

Jiang Jianjun also got up, and the family of three enjoyed a harmonious breakfast together. After eating, Jiang Feng said he needed to go out, and Jiang Jianjun reminded him not to cause trouble.

Jiang Feng agreed wholeheartedly and then left for the back mountain.

Upon arriving, he saw Lü Shaguang already waiting, along with Tiger, the bearded man, and others.

More importantly, in front of Lü Shaguang lay a wriggling sack, like a fat maggot.

Thud!

Seeing Jiang Feng, Lü Shaguang immediately knelt down, respectfully saying, "You're here, sir."

Tiger, the bearded man, and the others also knelt, heads touching the ground, not daring to make a sound.

"Get up," Jiang Feng said, satisfied with their behavior.

Not bad, they had learned their lesson well. They could be taught.

Despite Jiang Feng's words, Lü Shaguang and the others didn't dare to rise, remaining on their knees.

"I've brought the person you wanted," Lü Shaguang said.

"You guys, open the sack," Lü Shaguang ordered his men.

Tiger and the bearded man quickly stood up and opened the sack, revealing Cai Xiaoqiang inside.

"Let me go, Lü Shaguang! How dare you kidnap me? I'll have someone kill you!" Cai Xiaoqiang shouted as soon as his head was exposed.

Slap!

Lü Shaguang slapped him hard, scolding, "Shut up, or I'll break your mouth."

"It's fine, let him shout. He won't have the chance to later," Jiang Feng said calmly.

Hearing Jiang Feng's voice, Cai Xiaoqiang froze, turning to look at him, his face changing color. "It's you!"

"Yes, it's me," Jiang Feng replied with a faint smile.

Cai Xiaoqiang suddenly understood, "I see, you all conspired to harm me."

"And you," Cai Xiaoqiang pointed angrily at Lü Shaguang. "I paid you to deal with Jiang Feng, and you turned on me. How despicable! Don't you want to survive in this world?"

Lü Shaguang's face remained expressionless. "I admit my fault, but when it comes to life and reputation, I choose life. Without life, what good is reputation?"

Indeed, Lü Shaguang had realized Jiang Feng's power. If he didn't follow Jiang Feng, he would at least be crippled.

Breaking his agreement with Cai Xiaoqiang would only cost him some reputation, which was a minor issue.

So, the choice was clear.

"You useless bunch, you can't even handle a small Jiang family and ended up being controlled by them. How shameful," Cai Xiaoqiang fumed.

Slap!

"Shut up!" Lü Shaguang slapped him again, leaving Cai Xiaoqiang stunned.

Jiang Feng walked up, squatting slightly, and lightly patted Cai Xiaoqiang's face. "Do you think money can solve everything? No, you're wrong. This world is far more complex, filled with things you've never seen or imagined. You'll never know them in your lifetime."

"Moreover, this matter could have ended, and we would owe each other nothing. But you wouldn't let it go and sought revenge."

"Heh, such audacity. Now, I have no reason to spare you."

Jiang Feng's smile was sinister, his eyes fixed on Cai Xiaoqiang, filling him with fear. His heart pounded as if facing the Grim Reaper, cold and helpless, awaiting death.

"Today, I'll teach you a lesson you'll never forget," Jiang Feng said coldly. "You must understand, every wrong action has a price."

"Lü Shaguang, break one of his hands," Jiang Feng ordered, standing up.

"Yes, with pleasure," Lü Shaguang's eyes gleamed with unnoticed excitement. Jiang Feng's command meant he was being regarded as a subordinate. Following Jiang Feng promised great benefits in the future.

Lü Shaguang grabbed Cai Xiaoqiang, pressing one arm to the ground.

"Lü Shaguang, let me go! You can't do this," Cai Xiaoqiang pleaded.

Ignoring him, Lü Shaguang called out to his men, "Tiger, bearded man, hold him down."

"Yes," they responded, quickly pinning Cai Xiaoqiang down.

Realizing the seriousness, Cai Xiaoqiang struggled violently, his face turning pale with fear. "No, please let me go. I won't dare again. I'll pay you any amount, just spare me."

Lü Shaguang looked at Jiang Feng, seeking his approval.

Jiang Feng shook his head. "It's too late for that. There's no saving you now. Today, you must lose a hand."

Seeing Jiang Feng's firm stance, Lü Shaguang knew what to do.

Cai Xiaoqiang, understanding the gravity, deeply regretted seeking revenge. If he had let it go yesterday, he wouldn't face this dire situation.

Before Cai Xiaoqiang could say more, Lü Shaguang picked up a stone and smashed it onto Cai Xiaoqiang's wrist.

Crack!

Cai Xiaoqiang's wrist shattered, his arm rendered useless.

"Ah..."

Cai Xiaoqiang's scream was like a ghost's wail, his lips bitten through from the pain.

Jiang Feng's ruthlessness and Lü Shaguang's brutality left Tiger, the bearded man, and the others terrified. They pitied Cai Xiaoqiang but felt no sympathy. This was the price of their lifestyle.
