Chapter 109 - Chapter 108 You Are the Best Class I Have Ever Taught

Toushirou's performance astonished everyone present.

Aizen also smiled and nodded: "Very good, Hitsugaya-san's control over spiritual pressure is very precise. However…"

He shifted the topic: "If you try adding more spiritual pressure during the mobilization process, the effect will be even better, like this."

Aizen raised his hand, without even reciting the number or name of the Hadō.

In an instant, lightning several times thicker than before burst from his palm, exploding into a dazzling blue spark in the air.

Boom!

A loud thunderous noise echoed through the dojo as if lightning had fallen from the sky, and the entire classroom was illuminated by blinding blue light!

"Wow, what an incredible Hadō!"

"Hitsugaya's Byakurai was already pretty strong, but compared to Aizen-sensei's, it doesn't have that overwhelming pressure at all…"

"Is this the power of a captain from Seireitei? They're so strong!"

"…"

The students in the hall were stunned, and their admiring comments followed one after another.

Arata narrowed his eyes.

Aizen's display of White Lightning appeared casual, but in reality, it demonstrated his unbelievable control over Kidō and Reiatsu.

Being able to release such a powerful Kidō without any incantation, even though Byakurai is low-level Hadō was not something an average captain could achieve.

Arata mentally counted and concluded that such individuals could be counted on one hand throughout the entire Soul Society.

"Next we will begin learning the eleventh Hadō, which possesses properties similar to Byakurai—Tsuzuri Raiden."

Aizen quickly returned to the main subject and began explaining the principles and method of performing this double-digit Hadō.

His expression remained gentle and calm as always, as if he hadn't just demonstrated that shocking Kidō moments earlier.

As he listened to the lecture, Arata secretly observed each of Aizen's movements.

On the surface, this man was a gentle and patient teacher, but Arata knew very well the ambition and calculation hidden behind those glasses.

Even if Aizen suddenly declared that the Kidō class was canceled and directly revealed Kyōka Suigetsu before the entire class, Arata wouldn't doubt he was capable of doing exactly that.

"Now, please divide into pairs and practice," Aizen said softly. "If you have any questions, feel free to ask your teacher."

The students immediately began working in groups.

Toushirou and Kusaka, of course, paired up again. They stood side by side and began attempting to perform Tsuzuri Raiden on the wooden dummy in front of them.

Arata noticed that as Aizen walked around, his gaze, intentionally or not always lingered on Toushirou and Kusaka.

Especially when Toushirou attempted Kidō, Aizen's gaze became particularly focused.

"That's not right. The direction of your spiritual pressure flow is reversed." Aizen suddenly approached Toushirou and personally corrected the position of his hand.

"Let your spiritual pressure spread from your palm like this."

Toushirou adjusted his stance according to Aizen's instructions, and indeed, this time his Tsuzuri Raiden was noticeably better than before.

A pale-yellow net of lightning burst from his palm. Although it wasn't yet large in scale, the shape was already quite clear.

"It worked!" Toushirou said joyfully, looking at the net of lightning he had released.

"Very good." Aizen nodded with satisfaction. "Keep practicing. I believe you'll be able to master this Kidō today."

At that moment, the system reminder once again sounded in Arata's mind.

[Fate Mission: Enlightenment of Ice and Snow 2 (Completed)]

[Type: Side]

[Mission Target: Hitsugaya Toushirou, Kusaka Sōjirō]

[Mission Requirement: Accompany the two to the Kidō classroom and observe the lesson.]

[Deadline: Today]

[Mission Reward: 200 fate points (Already Awarded)]

Arata paused slightly. The mission was already completed?

He had merely come to attend the class and hadn't given any specific guidance to either Toushirou or Kusaka.

What exactly was the point of such a task from the system?

As he pondered this, Aizen's voice suddenly sounded right beside his ear.

"Professor Saito, I didn't expect you to be interested in Kidō classes as well."

Arata looked up and saw that Aizen had somehow already stopped in front of him, wearing that eternally gentle smile on his face.

"Captain Aizen, you must be joking. How could I dare call myself a 'professor' in front of you?" Arata stood up and responded politely and modestly.

"This time I only came to see how Toushirou is progressing in Kidō."

"At the beginning of the school year, the old captain personally warned me to make sure I teach him well, so I don't dare let my guard down even a little." Arata scratched his head, crafting a flawless excuse.

Old man Yamamoto was simply the perfect lightning rod, any problem could easily be shifted onto him.

Aizen smiled and gently adjusted his glasses. "I see. I thought Saito-kun might have some helpful suggestions for my teaching style."

Arata shook his head. "Captain Aizen's classes are excellent. I can see the students are listening with great interest. Even I feel like I've learned a lot."

"While listening to your theoretical explanation, I felt as if I'd been brought back to the good old days when I myself had just entered the Spiritual Academy a few years ago."

After a few polite professional compliments exchanged between them, Aizen suddenly changed the topic.

"By the way, this is Saito-kun's first time teaching at the Spiritual Academy. Do you feel a great deal of pressure from this job?"

Arata's heart tightened slightly. Why was this man suddenly interested in his work-related stress?

When something deviates from expectations, there is definitely something strange behind it. Inside, he immediately became alert, but outwardly he maintained a calm expression.

"Captain Aizen surely wouldn't believe me if I said there's no pressure. After all, I'm responsible for two young geniuses, so I'm afraid of teaching them improperly."

Aizen looked toward Toushirou with meaningful eyes. "Yes, especially Hitsugaya-san. His spiritual pressure possesses rather rare properties."

Arata didn't respond, merely nodding quietly.

It seemed Aizen was paying special attention to both Toushirou and Kusaka, which was not a good sign at all and might affect the progress of his main mission.

"If there's an opportunity, I hope I can exchange teaching experience with Saito-kun. You're very welcome to attend my Kidō classes in the future as well," Aizen said at last, then turned and walked toward other students.

Arata watched his back, and the sense of caution within him grew stronger.

What exactly was this man planning?

Many instructors of the Kidō department were absent, and traces of Reiatsu were found on the textbooks…

Could all of this actually be connected to him?

The bell rang, and the students left the classroom one after another.

Toushirou and Kusaka approached Arata, their faces still showing the excitement from practice.

"Saito-sensei, did you see? I finally managed to perform Tsuzuri Raiden!" Kusaka shouted excitedly.

Arata smiled and nodded. "Of course I saw. Both of you showed excellent performance just now."

Toushirou's expression was slightly serious. "Saito-sensei, did Aizen-sensei say something to you earlier?"

"We just chatted a bit about teaching matters, why?" Arata replied casually.

Naturally, he had no intention of telling Toushirou, who was still just a student, anything about those secrets.

Toushirou hesitated for a moment, but finally decided to voice his suspicion.

"I don't know why, but I felt that the way Aizen-sensei looked at me earlier was a bit… strange."

Arata paused slightly. This kid's intuition was truly sharp.

"Don't overthink it." Arata patted his shoulder. "Aizen-sensei just appreciates your talent. He told me earlier that you're the best student he's ever taught."

He borrowed a classic line that his own teachers in his previous life often used.

Toushirou gave a doubtful nod and didn't say anything more.
