Both talked about what happened after they parted.
Qin Shaoqing explained he escorted her friend to Starskiff haven before returning here omitting the part where he found Bai Ming, while Sushang explained how she found another unit and joined them clearing the area.
"Hey! What's taking you so damn long." Pan Bo who noticed the missing Sushang came up the stairs and saw her and Qin Shaoqing casually chatting. "What are you doing, this is not the time for casual chatter you fool." Pan Bo reprimand Sushang.
"And you! Come with me, we need to get out of here quickly, it's dangerous." Pan Bo turned his attention to Qin Shaoqing.
"You!" Sushang who was a little angry by the way he talked to her master wanted to shot back but was quickly stopped by Qin Shaoqing.
Missing the chance for a proper introduction, they just let it go.
Seeing Pan Bo already made his way back, they follow behind him, occasionally chatting along the way which annoyed Pan Bo more.
The three eventually returned to the rendezvous point, where several injured survivors were being carried by other Cloud Knights.
The captain who saw the friendly interaction between Sushang and Qin Shaoqing was intrigued but it wasn't the right situation to join in their conversation.
As they conversed longer Pan Bo slowly becoming more irritated before he couldn't take it anymore and lashed out.
"Both of you shut up! This is a dangerous place and no place to chit-chat." he snapped.
His words sounded strange, considering the unit had already cleared the area. The chance of danger nearby was close to zero. Everyone who heard him frowned slightly.
"But didn't we clear any dangers in the area?" Sushang shot back, her tone was laced with a hint of frustration.
"There is still a chance that dangers can hear us so stop talking to each other." He kept with his flimsy excuses.
Even though there was other injured people groaning in pain he entirely ignored them and only focused on Sushang and Qin Shaoqing.
Maybe because of the captain present he'd grown bold even with his flawed excuses.
Logically speaking Sushang who was not in their unit would be less favored than him who had been in the unit for years.
Qin Shaoqing glanced toward the captain, who was massaging his temple in visible frustration.
"Master." Sushang whispered, her eyes burning with restrained frustration.
Those eyes told him everything. She wanted to draw her sword and teach Pan Bo a lesson. His constant nitpicking had worn her patience too much.
"Let your master handle this." Qin Shaoqing said calmly.
The other Cloud Knights, overhearing the word master, were startled. Realization dawned, and they all gave Pan Bo pitying looks.
Sushang who was already a monster in their eyes couldn't comprehend what kind of master she has to have that kind of strength, and now seeing him in person they wanted to see him in action.
'That bastard had it coming someday' All of them had the same sentiment and enjoyed the show. Pan Bo's arrogant pride had annoyed them when he joined the unit but they couldn't do anything since he belonged in a sword family.
Pan Bo froze for a moment, cold sweat running down his neck. But he quickly convinced himself it was just an act. There was no way this average-looking man was really Sushang's teacher.
"It seems you have a problem with us talking," Qin Shaoqing said with his usual polite smile. "I struggle to see the issue."
"Yes! You're attracting attention so shut up."
"But I've heard that this area was cleared by the cloud knights so I see no problem in making conversations."
"Y-You're distracting us Cloud knights!"
'Who's us' All the Cloud knight simultaneously asked in their mind.
"So what I'm hearing," Qin Shaoqing continued, his tone still calm, "is that you're the one being bothered, isn't that right?"
Pan Bo faltered, Qin Shaoqing exposed the real reason for his outburst.
"Grr, what do you know, fucking scammer you're nothing more than a damn swindler playing master-disciple with Sushang." His insult made Sushang gripped her sword harder.
Not only he insulted her intelligence for picking a pretender, he disregarded his master's effort in training her, calling it play pretend.
[Congratulation for enraging Pan Bo, your reward is: Lus-
Hearing the nostalgic sound Qin Shaoqing felt refreshed.
It has been a while since he gone out of his way to find people to piss off. Nowadays most of his days were spent teaching Sushang swordsmanship.
Now finished with what he wanted to do he gave a glance at the captain of the unit 'May I?'.
His expression told 'Go easy on him' and Qin Shaoqing gave an understanding nod.
Without warning Qin Shaoqing dashed towards Pan Bo who was surprised and swung his weapon out of instinct.
Too many flaws. Qin read his movements effortlessly and sidestepped.
As he moved past him, his hand shot out, gripping Pan Bo's neck before sweeping his leg out from under him and pushing him down.
Qin Shaoqing's muscles, strengthened by a substantial amount of Yang energy, exploded with power.
"Erk!" Pan Bo gasped as the ground cracked slightly beneath them.
With one smooth motion, he pinned Pan Bo to the ground. Dust rose, then settled as silence filled the area.
Pan Bo had passed out cold. Qin Shaoqing stood, brushing the dust from his clothes.
"Thank you for holding back," the captain said as he approached.
If Qin Shaoqing hadn't acted first, the captain himself would've done it, though his family backing was troublesome since Qin Shaoqing acted he could say it was their son attracting trouble for their unit.
"Don't worry about it." Qin Shaoqing replied with a faint smile. He didn't mention that that was his full strength.
