James looked at the ability he had just absorbed into his race's many traits…
[Berserk: Allows individuals to enter a berserk state; increasing strength, stamina, speed, toughness, recovery, and intellect by 10%. The longer this state lasts, the more it affects the body when the state is lifted. The stronger the individual, the longer their body can last in this state]
'What kind of rage-induced race am I building…' James lampooned as he turned his attention back to the tribe.
Unlike humanity, the Jerries did not form a bond with wolves or similar creatures. They did not recognise any other race other than themselves as real living beings. All were either 'prey' who the Jerries hunted, or 'creatures of the night' which were prey that the Jerries were either unable to see, catch, or defeat, though there was only 1 currently that fit in the last category.
Soon enough, with the help of the tools and weapons left behind by their ex-leader Ook, the group of Jerries helped raise a new generation. To their shock, the usually low fertility was unusually high, and they chalked it up to the blessings of their ex-leader.
James on the other hand, knew it was he who had used some of the collective energy he had gained from the deaths of Ook and the others, directing most of it to giving birth to new individuals within this very group.
Although the world itself was not very large, it was still unlikely for the many scattered groups of individuals to come across each other anytime soon. As such, he used some collective energy to talk to and give similar information he had given to Ook, to 5 more group leaders; making it a total of 6 main tribes.
Along with this, he redirected the other groups around these tribes by contacting their leaders and telling them to go in the directions of the main tribes. The main goal was to reach at least 500 individuals in each tribe.
That way, there would not be any birth defects down the line…' James frowned as he tried hard to recall when in school had he heard this, but failed to recall and just put the strange thought aside.
He also made sure to give them all an understanding of the German language. He could have used English, but as a language, James just felt that English had too many exceptions for everything; almost half the words had some kind of exception to already existing rules, with the silent letters, and homonyms, homophones, and so many others.
'It had taken me so long to learn English back in the USA. Everyone else at home spoke German, so I ended up learning that as my native language, only to be forced to learn English as soon as I began my education…' James lamented as h watched his gaol being achieve over time.
6 tribes had formed, each with over 600 people. With this, he was satisfied, and he instantly shifted the collective energy cycle. All the collective energy he got would be shifted to allowing those in the 6 main tribes to have more children, while the other groups would not get any more children.
Effectively, he was sentencing the other small groups of Jerries to death, but it did not matter as he needed them to come together and form a civilisation in order to grow in strength. But now, the total population he had was nearing 250,000 and he wanted all of this population to be close together for the collective intellect trait to activate and give them a boost in intellect.
'Their numbers will now remain below a million for at least another five hundred years. This means in order to rapidly improve their strength, I need them to gain technology and civilisation. At least into the bronze or iron age,' James nodded to himself.
In order to get civilisation to that level, he needed them to increase their intellect, and for this, more of them needed to be closer together. He did not have all the answers. He knew bits and pieces, but not everything.
For example, James knew he needed wood, animal horns and some kind of tree bark or root, and combines them to make a compound bow. However, he did not know what kind, if they were even there on this planet, and how to do any of it in order to make a bow.
Conversely, he knew quite a bit about hot weapons, how to make them and especially how to use them, but that would not be of much use to the cave-Jerries who barely had gotten themselves stone weapons and tools.
'For now, you must improve yourselves. Each of your tribes will experience exponential growth until all of the 250,000 population is part of one of the 6 tribes. From there, you must explore on your own to build different kinds of tools. I have given you knowledge about civilisation; about herding, about language, about specialisation of labour. Use it well, my little Jerries~' James felt like he was playing some table-top game of strategy, only he did not have any friends he was playing with.
'I wonder… if there is a way to get my Jerries onto the other planets of the Race Spirit Players… or possibly, even the World God players?' he had a random thought, but then dismissed it saying it would only be possible if the odd blue floating screen that called itself 'System' allowed it, or someone invented magic.
