Karl Hanski walked in with the relaxed confidence of someone who had spent years being the center of attention. His hands rested casually in his trouser pockets, and a pair of oversized dark sunglasses concealed much of his face despite the fact that it was already evening.
The moment he appeared, excited screams erupted from various corners of the audience.
Karl didn't even acknowledge them.
Not a glance.
Not a wave.
Not so much as a flicker of recognition.
He simply continued down the stairs toward the long dais positioned in front of the stage, moving as though the noise around him were nothing more than background static.
Kaija raised a brow.
Oddly enough, it wasn't the sunglasses or the celebrity attitude that caught her attention first.
It was the outfit.
Karl wore tailored white trousers and a stylish turquoise jacket adorned with decorative ruffles at the sleeves. The ruffles themselves weren't particularly shocking.
The absence of a shirt underneath certainly was.
