Chapter 115 - Ch-115 Selling All The Treasures.

After Gojo's ship left the Galley-La Company shipyard, Iceberg stood on the dock for a moment, watching the vessel slowly disappear into the busy canals of Water 7. The sunlight reflected across the water as ships moved in different directions, and the distant sounds of workers continued to echo through the shipyard.

After a moment, Iceberg turned toward Kalifa and said, "Contact our connections in the black market and inform them that I want to buy Adam Tree wood to make a ship. And tell them that I need it as soon as possible."

Kalifa nodded calmly. "Understood. I will do so."

Iceberg then shifted his gaze toward Paulie and Kaku.

"We have received a very big commission this time," Iceberg said. "It has been a long time since we received such a large order. Everyone needs to do their best."

He continued in a firm but steady tone, "Inform the workers to begin preparations immediately. Start acquiring everything that will be required—materials, furniture, and any special equipment needed for the ship."

Kaku and Paulie both nodded after hearing this.

"Understood," Paulie replied, already thinking about the logistics.

The two of them soon left to begin organizing the work while Kalifa prepared to contact their black market connections regarding the Adam Tree wood.

Meanwhile, on the other side of Water 7, Gojo was sailing his ship through the city's winding canals.

The water gently rocked the vessel as it passed between the tall buildings and bridges of the city. People moved along the walkways beside the canals, and several small boats drifted past as merchants and workers carried out their daily routines.

Gojo guided his ship slowly while asking a few locals about the location of a bank. After all, a bank would be the best place for him to sell his treasures without losing money, and there he would most likely receive the proper market price for everything he possessed.

After asking around for a while, Gojo finally located a bank within the city.

He docked his ship at a nearby spot along the canal, around a hundred meters away from the bank building. Once the ship was secured, Gojo stepped onto the stone walkway and began walking toward the bank to sell the treasures he had brought with him.

As soon as Gojo entered the bank, he noticed that the place was quite busy. Several people were standing at different counters, speaking with clerks and completing their transactions. The quiet murmur of conversations filled the hall, mixed with the occasional sound of coins clinking and papers being stamped.

Gojo glanced around for a moment before spotting an empty counter. A lady was sitting behind it, organizing a few documents.

He walked over to the counter and said calmly, "I would like to exchange my treasures for money."

As soon as the lady heard this, she looked up toward him. The moment her eyes landed on Gojo's face, she instinctively straightened her posture. His tall figure and striking appearance caught her completely off guard for a brief moment.

Almost subconsciously, she adjusted her hair and lightly smoothed her clothes, making sure she looked presentable. Then she gave him a very polite smile.

"Yes, of course," she said warmly. "Please bring the treasures that you would like to exchange."

Gojo shook his head slightly.

"I haven't brought the treasures with me here," he replied. "They are quite large in number. That's why I would like to meet your manager and speak with him directly. Only he would be able to arrange the exchange for such a large amount."

The lady listened carefully and nodded. She didn't doubt Gojo even for a second that he might be lying. After all, Gojo's calm demeanour and confident tone made him sound completely genuine.

And besides… his appearance certainly helped.

Being handsome had its own advantages.

"Very well," she said politely. "I will take you to meet our manager."

Gojo nodded immediately.

The lady stood up from her chair and walked ahead, and Gojo followed behind her through the bank's hallway. The sounds of the busy banking hall gradually faded as they moved deeper into the building.

Soon they arrived in front of a wooden office door.

The lady turned slightly toward Gojo and said, "Please wait here."

Then she gently knocked on the door before stepping inside the office, leaving Gojo standing quietly outside.

Gojo waited outside the office door. After a few moments, the lady returned and opened it.

"Please come in," she said politely. "The manager would like to meet with you."

Gojo nodded and stepped inside.

The office was neatly arranged, with a large desk placed near the center and several cabinets lining the walls. Sitting behind the desk was a rather fat-looking manager. The moment Gojo entered, the manager immediately stood up from his chair with a professional smile on his face.

"Welcome, welcome," the manager said warmly. "Jeanie was telling me that you have quite a lot of treasures that would require my personal intervention, and that only I would be able to handle such a transaction."

He folded his hands together on the desk and continued in a polite tone, "So approximately how much do you think your treasure is worth?"

Gojo answered calmly, "It should be around 800 million berries."

The moment the manager heard that number, his eyes nearly bulged out of their sockets. His mouth opened slightly in shock as he stared at Gojo. The amount was enormous—far larger than most transactions the bank usually handled.

For a brief moment, he struggled to maintain his composure before quickly regaining his professional demeanour.

"Well… where is your treasure, sir?" he asked, his tone becoming even more polite than before.

Gojo replied, "I have all those treasures on my ship. I have docked my ship around a hundred meters away from here. Since the treasure is quite a lot, I couldn't carry it around with me."

He continued calmly, "If you have workers who can bring it here, or if you would like to go there yourself to verify the treasures, that would be the best option."

The manager's smile slowly returned as he heard this. The thought of an 800 million berry transaction clearly excited him.

"In that case," the manager said, "I would like to go with you personally. If the treasures are really worth that much, then I will immediately purchase them and pay you the full amount."

Gojo looked at him for a moment and asked, "Will you be able to buy all of my treasures?"

The manager said with a confident smile, "Don't worry. Our bank is one of the biggest banks in the world. You can definitely sell all your treasures here. We have that much money."

Gojo nodded after hearing this.

Soon he walked out of the bank, with the manager following behind him. A few guards and workers accompanied them as well. Even though the manager was walking behind Gojo, he did not let his guard down. After all, the world was a mixed bag. Sometimes a person with a smiling face could suddenly pull out a knife and try to kill you.

So even though Gojo looked calm, good-looking, and trustworthy, the manager didn't lose his head or blindly believe everything. Bringing guards along was simply a precaution.

They soon reached the dock, which was no more than a hundred meters away from the bank.

Water 7 was full of canals and waterways, and docks were scattered all around the city where ships could be parked. However, navigating through some of the narrow channels could be quite troublesome for larger ships. Gojo had definitely experienced some difficulty earlier while guiding his ship through the tighter passages.

Thankfully, the bank was located near one of the wider canals, which allowed his ship to move without much trouble.

Soon the manager, along with his guards and workers, arrived at the dock where Gojo's ship was stationed. The ship gently rocked against the water as waves tapped against its hull.

Gojo stepped onto the deck first, and the manager followed him aboard. The guards and workers came behind them.

Then Gojo led them deeper into the ship.

He soon stopped in front of a sturdy door.

"This is where I keep my treasures," Gojo said calmly.

He opened the door.

The moment the door swung open, the room inside revealed a dazzling sight. Chests and piles of treasure filled the room. Gold coins were stacked in large heaps, jewels shimmered under the faint light, and various golden statues—including several crocodile-shaped ones—were placed among the piles of wealth.

The golden shine reflected across the room, creating a soft glow.

The manager's eyes practically lit up at the sight. For a brief moment, it almost looked as if money itself had appeared in his eyes.

Gojo looked toward him and said, "Now can you assess all the treasures here and give me the best price for everything? I would like all my treasures converted into money."

As soon as the manager heard this, he nodded.

"Yes. I will begin immediately."

The workers who had come along were already carrying several small pieces of equipment used for checking valuables. The manager quickly got to work, carefully inspecting the treasures. He started with the gold coins, examining their purity and weight, then moved on to the jewels and statues.

The process was slow and meticulous.

Watching the entire procedure, Gojo quickly realized that it would take quite some time.

So he simply leaned against a nearby wall and waited patiently while the manager and his workers continued their careful assessment.

Finally, after around half an hour, the manager finished examining everything.

He wiped a bit of sweat from his forehead and looked toward Gojo.

"I have checked all of your treasures," the manager said. "Based on the current market value, I can offer you around 850 million berries for all of them."

Gojo nodded after hearing this.

The manager was being honest and wasn't trying to cheat him. Even though Gojo had estimated earlier that the treasure would be worth around 800 million berries, the manager could easily have lowered the price and tried to profit from the deal.

But instead, he gave the fair value of around 850 million berries without cutting the price or attempting to deceive him.
