"I do not sleepwalk," I replied, my voice barely above a whisper. I was a light sleeper who would wake to the sound of a pin drop, so how would I sleepwalk, and not wake? How would I stay under rain, and won't be woken by the first drop on my face?
"You don't? Then do you have any memory of…?" His words trailed off.
My grip tightened on my cup, "I remember eating dinner, waving Valen goodbye, then settling into bed, and the next thing, I'm out on the school grounds, wet and sleeping in the rain." I shuddered at the thought of the girl I'd seen.
"You walked there on your own."
"But I had a dream. I was walking through the corridors, and then I saw this girl, and…" I closed my eyes tight, willing her image to come to my head, but no, "I don't remember what she looked like, but when I saw her, I got so scared. I must have passed out in my dream, and woke in real life."
"You really can't remember her face? Nor sleepwalking?"
"No, I don't. I've never sleepwalked. But… Damien, how… how did you know? How did you find…?"
"When you were walking through the corridors, did you see anyone else?" he asked, picking up a towel to mop up his wet hair.
"No, I didn't," I replied, watching as he slicked back his dark hair with the towel, his beauty appearing soft in the candlelight.
"Well, you look really pale. I think you should go to bed. The Mysia Welcome is in a few hours. You're human. You'll catch a cold." I lowered my lashes, and allowed him to take my hand and ease me off the kitchen stool. I took my cup of tea, and raised it, trying to sip it all without scalding my lips and tongue.
Damien led me up the dark stairs to my room, opened my door, and watched me go in.
"Sleep tight," he said softly.
"Yeah, thank you."

"No classes today, girlie!" The loud sound of my door opening jolted me from sleep as Natalie came flying on my bed, causing it to creak in annoyance, "You haven't finished explaining to the boys why they should protect you!" She said, dragging me up, away from my soft, comforting sheets.
What was wrong with her? Didn't she know it was rude to wake someone who was asleep?
"Wait, uh… wait a sec…" I mumbled, my eyes closed as I fell onto the cold floor, feeling weakness seep slowly through my veins.
"Nope, nope, nope. Everyone is awake. They're downstairs. Come, come," she was so strong, forcing me to my feet!
I was dragged out my room with my eyes half closed, my hair fixed into a bun. My ears began to wake, letting in the sound of laughter and the mix of voices coming from the living room below.
"We're planning something. We all must wear some kind of matching outfit, so we'll all be draped in blue. Also, we have these watches designed for you. If you get in trouble, just tap on it, and it will send a signal to one of us. We'll come get you," Natalie was saying, her words coming out in a rush, as I rubbed sleep out of my eye, nodding even though I wasn't really registering what she was saying.
In the living room, Damien and Faux were passing something that definitely belonged to Athie between themselves.
"Stop!" She shouted as Damien threw it over her head to Faux who caught it, and twirled.
Heart and Hayden were laughing.
Hayden actually seemed happy, compared to his usual composed look.
"Open it, and we'll give it to you," Damien said, passing the thing to Faux.
"No, why would I?" Athie whined, jumping on Faux, who only laughed, and passed it back.
I sneezed, and their activities stopped.
"Jeez, you're really near human. Don't tell me you caught a cold? Wasn't your window closed? Weren't the sheets warm enough?" Heart asked, her golden eyes blinking in confusion.
"Not that. My room was warm," I looked at Damien, "If not for Damien, I would be worse."
Heart looked even more confused.
"Oh my God. Did something transpire between you two?" Natalie asked from behind me, coming to stand before me, her blue eyes wide, demanding answers.
"No, no, he was the one who woke me when I was sleeping in the rain," I replied quickly to her confrontation.
"Sleeping in the…" she mouthed, her eyes trailing off as she tried to understand.
"Sleeping in the rain?" Faux asked.
"And why does Damien look lost?" Athena asked, her words pouring out slowly. I looked to see Damien looking like he was calculating a whole lot of things in his head.
"If not for me? I woke you when you were sleeping in the rain? You slept in the rain? When? Last night? How?"
My brows furrowed.
"I sleepwalked. You saw me. You woke me and brought me in. You gave me tea, and…"
The stupefied look he was giving turned my brain upside down. Why was he looking like he knew nothing about it?
"Are you sure it was Damien?" Natalie asked, pushing her blue curls over her shoulder.
"Yeah, there are no two Dam…" I whirled around to look at Hayden, whose green eyes were fixed on me.
"Was it you? Last night? The dream, the tea?"
I never really stared deep into the eyes. Not that I could differentiate blue from green at night anyway.
Hayden raised his perfect brow, "Tea? Not blood?" He scoffed, "Do you really think we have a relationship where I offer you tea?" He asked lazily, and simply went back to reading his book.
I looked from the confused Damien to the unbothered Hayden who truly wouldn't offer me tea, or actually follow me to check if I was sleep walking.
Hayden would have laughed, or teased me about sleepwalking. The concern was something only Damien could have given me, but Damien was…
Clueless.
I went back and forth between the twins.
Who was it last night?
Damien?
Hayden?
More importantly, that person dodged my question.
What were they doing there last night?
How did they know I was out in the rain unless they'd been watching me?
