The realization hit him sharply, but what unsettled him more was that Yushan hadn't signaled him, hadn't even tried to stop.
He was still there, still matching his pace, his rhythm, as if the scene wasn't supposed to end. That wasn't how it was meant to go. Yushan should've given a cue.

With deliberate effort, he broke the kiss, pulling back hesitantly the way his character was supposed to.
His breath was uneven, chest rising and falling, but he stayed within the moment. Across from him, Yushan leaned forward slightly, his character following Wei's retreating lips with a soft ache in his expression.
