I felt as my breathing became labored, my guts telling me that something bad was going to happen.
As I stood there behind some kind of obstacle and hide, I could feel a shake coming from the ground and a weird liquid started forming a barrier around me.
Before I knew it, the surroundings around me started to change rapidly.
It was like a giant whale swallowing a prey. In just a split second, everything around me was pitch black.
As I was about to stand up and check what was going on, I instantly got back in my place when I heard a familiar voice complaining.
Right, the battle wasn't over yet. I peeked out to see what Riyu was planning for me. My eyes widened as I saw his weapon glowed along with the moon.
"This scene…"
"It finally caught up to you?"
A voice suddenly questioned me as I watched Riyu's weapon glowed, a barrier suddenly covered up the scene.
I'm inside of a realm in a realm… God, that sound stupid.
I then turned around to see who was behind me. My eyes widened, he's back again. It was my future self.
The man in front of me smirked. He looked different than the last future version of me. Maybe the near or somewhat further future?
"Have you realized it yet?"
As I was about to speak, he got closer and puts his finger on my mouth, shutting me up. He then stood back and began to speak.
"I'm surprised it took you that long."
As I tried to speak again, I could feel a warm hand being placed on my shoulder. I turned around in shock.
Another person appeared. The man was my height, had the same hair color as me and looked exactly like me… except one thing, he didn't have eyes.
I moved back subconsciously out of fright just to be hit with another surprise. As I looked behind me to see who I bumped into, it wasn't a surprise to see another Gyungho.
Just like the eyeless version of me. He was different as well. This Gyungho had hair that was a little bit longer than mine, this time he had eyes but his body and face was covered in countless deep scars and open wounds.
My wyes widened, all of these people were me? Though id this is supposed to be my future then why do they look different.
"Don't distract him from the main problem, you don't want him ending up like that version."
I looked as the first future version of me started speaking. The other guys then sighed and stood back.
"I'm pretty sure he won't end up like him."
There were three different versions of me standing in front of me. This was all so confusing.
As I was about to speak, another voice spoke up, it was the version of me without his eyes.
"I agree with Gyungho, this one seems too… confused about everything."
I then look back at the first future version of me. He then replied to the other Gyungho.
"That's how it all started, don't lie and say you weren't confused too."
The other two then shrugged and disappeared, leaving me alone with the first version.
"You do know what's happening, right?"
I looked up at him. I had no idea about what he was talking about but there were something inside of me that felt like I knew the answer to it.
Even so, I couldn't think of what was the missing piece of puzzle. As I was about to answer him, I could see cracks appearing in the space he created between me and Riyu.
I wish I could ask him, who the hell is the guy he's talking about? Why would I end up like him? Who is he?!
The guy's face looked horrified. He grit his teeth and kneeled down to my level. He then placed his hands on my shoulder, his eyes glaring at me.
"We don't have enough time for an explanation."
The other two versions that disappeared then came back, they looked around the barrier and grit their teeth before talking at the same time.
"She'll…system.. coming… to…. Soon…help..be patient..."
What the hell?! I barely hear anything due to the overlapping voices. If I had to guess, one was talking about the system and the other was about an actor…
The first version of me looked at the cracks that were expanding and back at me before continuing his speech after the other two disappeared.
"We'll do our best to guide you down the right path, farewell to you, Gyungho."
[SYSTEM: The Third Anomaly had granted you it's blessing. . .]
I looked as the barrier shattered, before I could react to what happened, I turned around to see what seemed to be a million arrows flying my way.
My eyes widened, swiftly pulling out my sword and started running. As I looked up, I could see Riyu's psychotic face laughing. Something was wrong, Riyu definitely did something again.
I could feel the force he held increasing every time by the second. If there were hope at all, I might survive and not die again. It would be a burden to get someone to revive me...
Suddenly, I then remembered about a skill that I've just received. I should try using it this time…
「The Scenario Overseer is in activation.」
If he was going to face me with all he had then I should treat him the same. I had no idea what to w hell this skill was but I fuess it's time to take it to the test.
I looked as a blue aura glowed around me, binary codings acting as a shield, a force field…
I looked around to see the void around me. No obstacles, no time to play around.
I pulled out my sword, quickly entering the item shop and got myself a boost potion for my weapon.
「8,000C has been withdrawn from your balance!」
I poured the potion onto the sword, looking as it glowed brightly, reacting to the potion's boost.
"I got you this time, you rodent."
I looked as his weapon shined brightly again as if it was going to blast at me. I quickly dashed as the light got closer, while I was running away, my eyes widened.
The place the beam touched melted, and turned to some kind of caramel like liquid with a sweet scent to it. Damn it, I need to take the kid out, this id too dangerous.
He's damaging his own mental state yet his form doesn't show any injuries. As pieces began to come together, I came to a shocking conclusion.
I stood still, my eyes widened in shock as I looked at the brat in front of me. So all the mercy and sympathy I wasted was for crocodile tears.
"This isn't your space."
The kid looked as I talked, his face clearly annoyed.
「The Scenario Overseer is activating intensely! Act 1 unlocked!」
"What are you yapping about old man?"
I looked up at the young boy as I feel the spaces around me move. This wasn't reality, something is holding the answers from me.
「The Scenario Overseer Act 1: Questioning」
I took a deep breath as voices began to fill my head, the overwhelming amount of questions.
I could feel the space around me breaking down as those questions exploded inside of my head.
"We're in a replica of Aiko's space, aren't we?"
I looked as his eyes widened in anger. The kid then summoned another round of weapons and charged it at me before answering loudly.
"Oi, why would that matter?!"
If this was really Aiko's space then she would be the one receiving the damage even if it's just a replica.
I grit my teeth, clenching my fists together around the blade I was holding tightly. How could a sibling do this to his own blood?
As I drowned deeper and deeper in my own thoughts and questions, I could feel a presence from behind of me yet when I looked around, nobody was there.
Who could be here anyways? This was my mind... my body, my thoughts.
I could feel a slight energy as if my thoughts and questions were turning into energy and dissolves into my veins.
What did the future version of me mean when he said that he and the other two are my possible futures? What about the one that I was destined for?
「Act 1: Questioning is in activation!」
I looked as the system message popped up in front of me. The shining light was blinding my eyes. It was just like before when I worked late at night with the lights turned off...
I turned off the message and quickly took out my sword. Something about it was different this time.
Everything felt different this time… I looked as my sword sliced the weapons in front of me, watching them fall onto the ground as small shattered metal pieces.
"How did you-"
Riyu stared at me with widened eyes. He was shocked at how I sliced those weapons, I was too. What is this power generating inside of me?
In a second, I could my body moving on it's own, dashing towards Riyu, I swung my sword quickly before landing onto the ground with Riyu.
Claash! Claang! Clang!
I looked down at my sword, my eyes widened slightly but somehow it didn't feel so shocking to me.
I managed to land a hit on him. I could smell the metallic scent from his blood. Everything feels so unreal…
Even the force field that was given by the scenario overseer skill changed, I can't sense the power anymore, I don't see the codings nor feel the aura. What happened to it when it turned into act 1?
"How does it feel to overpower someone, Gyungho."
My brows furrowed, I turned around swiftly to find the source of the voice but I was met with an empty space yet again.
"You…"
I then looked back down at the boy that was crouching on the floor, his blood pouring out of his shoulder. Seems like the cut was pretty deep. That must've hurt…
"Answer me, Gyungho."
Another voice spoke up, the voice that had just spoken to me. I shook my head, ignoring them and charged straight at Riyu.
If he didn't show me mercy then why should I show him any? This was a battle of survival.
As I ran forward, I mumbled to, a bit confused. I had no idea when I ever received a skill like this or do I know why I had to use it.
"What a pity."
