At 10:59AM, Kazuma and Yuji saw themselves Infront of an abandoned section of what seemed to be a city. In actuality, it was a training area that was in the training camp, Kazuma looked around him "Well, this place is definitely empty.". Yuji explained "Yeah, it is.". About an hour ago, all the boys were standing in the training grounds looking at their phones, the instructor addressing them explained "If you go to your porters, you'll see a green check mark on your photos. That mark is to let you kids know that you will be participating in the event. Although, to be clear, some of you might go alone, while some of you might be in a group of two's. Not just that, but the place your matches would be taken place in and their locations, would be dropped in the portals.". Yuji sighed "What a damn pain.", Kazuma responded "Tell me about it.", White had a smirk as he looked at his phone "Yes! I'm not taking part in this. Thank God.", he looked at Kito and the others "What about you guys?", he asked. Kazuma, Yuji, Kito and Volt both had dissapointment written all over their faces "What does it look like to you? Idiot!", Kazuma asked in an annoyed tone. White responded while feeling bad "My bad, sorry about that.". Kazuma looked at his phone again "The location I'm to face off in, is the abandoned city. It's a small city that's in the premises of the training camp. The portal shows that it's just a few kilometre away from where I'm standing.", Kazuma looked at Yuji "Yuji, where are you standing off at?", he asked. Yuji explained "The same place as you are. I'm at the abandoned city, you and I would be a team.", Kazuma thought for a moment "I wonder who we're going to fight against.", he thought of Ranpo for a moment "My prayer is that we don't fight him. The nature of this exam makes it so that everyone is allowed to go all out, but I doubt the adult soliders we'll fight will go all out like they want to kill us. But that being said.....", Kazuma thought of all the times he, Yuji and Mio have sparred with Ranpo "I highly doubt that we'd be able to win without repercussions even if he were to be holding back.". Kazuma turned to Volt and Kito "Volt, Kito, where are you both fighting at?", he asked, Kito looked at his phone "I'm definitely fighting at one of the training grounds here. Probably three grounds away from here. I don't know who I'll be fighting against, but I guess It's safe enough to say I know the place, even tho its pretty far.", Volt explained "Same with me.". Kazuma smirked "Looks like you two will be going on your own.", White sighed "As for me, I'll be staying back. I'll keep our rooms safe, and I'll hope you guys don't get your ass beat.", Kazuma scoffed "We're counting on that.", Yuji looked at him "Don't encourage him.". The solider who was addressing the boys earlier called for their attention and explained "When you boys get to whatever location you're supposed to combat in, there would be an instruction there. Make sure you follow it, best of luck to you all.", all the boys responded "Yes sir.". The flashback ends, Kazuma muttered "Well, that's how it went, i think", Yuji looked to the side and saw a glowing ball in a jar, the jar had an instruction written on it. He called to Kazuma's attention "Kazuma, look.", Kazuma looked to the side and saw a ball inside a jar, and an instruction written on it. The two boys walked over and read the instruction [YOURE TO TAKE THE BALL INSIDE THIS JAR TO THE END OF THIS SMALL CITY. THAT'S THE MISSION YOU HAVE, THIS CITY HERE IS ALMOST A MILE LONG, SO YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO GET IT TO THE END. BUT BEWARE, YOUR OPPONENT WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO MAKE IT TO YOUR GOAL! BEST OF LUCK!]. Kazuma and Yuji blinked "Okay, I guess the instructions are pretty clear." Kazuma said, Yuji added with his hands behind his head "Yep, get the ball to the end of the city, and kill anything that tries to stop you. Simple and short.", Kazuma looked at Yuji "Seriously, is everything kill to you?". Before both boys knew it, a beam of energy flew straight forward at Kazuma's face, both Yuji and Kazuma were in shock in. A loud [BOOM], rocked the city around them, smoke filled all over the place. Luckily for both boys were safe, Kazuma was able to create a forcefield to protect himself and Yuji. Kazuma asked "You alright?", Yuji replied "Yeah I am.", suddenly, another beam of energy fell from above. Kazuma and Yuji sensed this attack, Kazuma gathered energy into his hand "SPIRITUAL EXPLOSION!", he uttered the name of his attack before shooting it upwards. Yuji's eyes grew wild and glowed blue, he gathered energy into his hands and shot it at the attack falling towards them, both Kazuma and Yuji's attack were able to parry the beam of energy that fell towards them in a deafening explosion. Smoke once again filled the sky above them, Kazuma said while coughing "We've got to get out of here.", Yuji replied "Yeah, but the smoke is making it hard to see. If we move recklessly, we're done for.". Without fully processing what was happening around them, Kazuma and Yuji heard a clap approaching [CLAP! CLAP! CLAP.] "Wow boys, you both sure know how to react fast.". Yuji seemed to recognise the voice "Huh? That voice.", Kazuma gritted his teeth in shock "I know that voice.". The smoke cleared completely, and to their surprise, the solider they saw standing infront of them was non other than they're team leader Ranpo! Yuji seemed annoyed and confused at the same time "Ranpo sensei?!", Kazuma's danger senses started to scream in his head, he turned to Yuji "YUJI! WE'VE GOT TO RUN!", Kazuma warned as he yelled. Yuji looked at him with confusion "Huh?!", but before they could even blink, Ranpo had appeared right infront of them with a burst of speed "Where the hell do you think you're going, boys?". Kazuma and Yuji were wide eyed stunned "What the fuck?!", they both exclaimed in their heads.
