Zephyr's face was unusually serious. This Whitebeard Jr. was far more powerful than most vice admirals.
Still, with Ren's replicated Glint-Glint Fruit abilities, escaping or fighting wouldn't be a problem. There wasn't much danger to his life.
A massive shadow loomed overhead. Edward Weevil came crashing down from above, his naginata swinging like a mountain ready to collapse.
"Die!"
That terrifying weapon, charged with savage might, came hurtling toward Ren. But Ren's eyes gleamed with resolve, and his Armament Haki surged from within like a raging river.
Clang!
The Radiant Sword collided with the naginata. The clash of raw strength sent tremors through the air.
"Armament!"
A dark gleam covered Ren's arm. Hardened like steel, it shot upward and clamped down on the incoming blade.
The atmosphere was split apart. A visible gash tore through the air.
Then — clang! — a sharp metallic crash rang out.
Sparks flew as Ren's arm dipped, barely holding back Weevil's ferocious slash. The deck behind Ren splintered. A terrifying crack several meters wide tore through the wood, running up to the ship's bow.
Seizing the moment, Ren unleashed a slash with his sword.
Clang!
Weevil reacted quickly, blocking with the shaft of his naginata.
Thud! Thud! Thud!
Even though he blocked the strike, Ren's overwhelming strength forced Weevil back several steps.
Yet the massive man remained mostly unharmed. His layers of fat acted like armor, absorbing most of the impact.
Ren raised a brow. That last strike had been full force.
"What kind of Devil Fruit does this guy have...?"
Ren's eyes narrowed. He recalled that even Admiral Kizaru once praised Edward Weevil's power — claiming it was comparable to Whitebeard in his youth.
And this was the man who would go on to take Zephyr's arm — a terrifying opponent.
After taking Ren's powerful blow, Weevil lost it.
"That hurt, Mom! This guy's mean!"
He turned to find Miss Bakkin — but she was nowhere to be seen.
"Eh? Where's Mom?"
Back by the wreckage, Miss Bakkin shakily stood up using her cane. Her face had been smashed beyond recognition.
"Weevil, kill that damn brat!"
She pulled out a mirror to look at herself — then shrieked in fury.
"Nagging hag."
Ren glanced at her, and in the blink of an eye, disappeared.
Whoosh!
Another blur shot through the air.
Ren and Weevil both appeared beside Miss Bakkin, flanking her from front and rear.
Their weapons clashed — clang! — and the impact rocked the pirate ship, nearly driving it into the sea.
But Ren didn't let up. His right leg lashed out.
"Light-Speed Kick!"
Boom!
His foot struck Miss Bakkin square in the head.
Crack!
Her skull fractured.
Boom!
She was blasted like a cannonball, tearing through the ship in a straight line.
A cloud of dust exploded outward. That single kick had finished her off.
"You killed my Mom?! I'll make you pay! Die!!"
Weevil bellowed in rage and turned toward Ren.
In that instant, Ren's iron fist fell.
Boom!
Coated in blazing Armament Haki, his punch sent Weevil flying dozens of meters.
Boom!
Ren wasn't done. He stomped hard, cracked the deck, and chased forward with explosive force. Another punch landed.
Weevil's hulking body slammed through the ship's cabin, leaving a trail of craters behind.
The entire pirate ship groaned. Web-like cracks split across the surface.
Boom! — the ship collapsed, wood splintering as debris flew.
But before the wreckage had even finished falling, Weevil had already dashed back, appearing before Ren in a blur.
His massive arms bulged, muscles exploding with power.
"I'LL KILL YOU! DIE!!!"
The naginata spun with terrifying speed, faster than lightning.
Ren was momentarily caught off-guard. He had no choice but to block with the Radiant Sword, retreating step by step under the ferocious assault.
