Chapter 95 - Chapter 95: The Father-Worriers Alliance: Civil War

The giant clay bird slowly descended in front of the main gates of Hogwarts Castle, where Professor McGonagall and Hermione had long been waiting anxiously.

Seeing Dumbledore and the four young wizards disembark from the clay bird, the two who had been waiting at the castle entrance hurriedly went to meet them.

"Are you all alright?" Professor McGonagall pulled the young wizards over, checking their condition with concern.

The Little Beaver looked at Kyle's tattered wizard robes, her eyes filled with worry.

"I'm fine, Professor McGonagall," Kyle smoothed his newly grown bangs. "Is Hagrid okay?"

When Fred had turned back to find Kyle and the others, he had let the clay bird carrying Hagrid leave first.

Although it lacked Fred's control, letting it fly back to the castle according to a preset route was no issue.

After receiving Dumbledore's Phoenix Patronus message, Professor McGonagall, who was on night patrol, had rushed out of the castle, coincidentally running into the clay bird bringing Hagrid back.

Hagrid had already been sent to the Hospital Wing by Professor McGonagall.

"He is fine. After receiving treatment from Madam Pomfrey, he has already woken up," Professor McGonagall said.

At the mention of Hagrid, Professor McGonagall seemed to suddenly remember something, and her face instantly turned stern.

"Why did you four appear in the Forbidden Forest at this time?"

Dumbledore pushed up his glasses with the half-moon lenses, casting an inquiring gaze toward a certain little Demon King. "I would also like to know."

Kyle immediately pushed a certain person who had suggested eating barbecue tonight in front of Professor McGonagall. "Professor McGonagall, Fred brought us out."

Fred: ???

Sorry, brother. In the past, I had no choice, but now I want to be a good student.

Kyle said silently in his heart.

If his old man weren't present, he would have taken the blame; at most, the professors would deduct a few points, which didn't hurt or itch.

But now that Dumbledore was standing right beside him, Kyle had absolutely no desire to experience the loving care of an old father, so Fred would have to carry this pot (take the blame).

Moreover, their night excursion tonight wasn't to raise hell, but to do good.

Kyle believed that Professor McGonagall would absolutely not punish them just for appearing in the Forbidden Forest at this time.

"Right, right, I can testify. It was Fred's idea." George immediately raised his arm.

"This morning in the Great Hall, he shouted to Cedric to go eat barbecue tonight. Over half of Gryffindor and Hufflepuff heard that sentence."

Fred looked at his twin brother, who was selling him out, with a sluggish expression.

It was one thing for Kyle to sell him out—that guy had no integrity or bottom line to begin with.

But he didn't expect his own twin brother, George, to actually come and stab him in the back too?

"Mr. Diggory, is this true?" Professor McGonagall raised an eyebrow.

Among these four "Father-Worriers," the Diggory boy was barely considered honest and well-behaved, so his words held some credibility.

If he also said it was Fred, then the owner of this "black pot" (blame) was basically confirmed.

Under Fred's desperate gaze, Cedric spoke up.

"It is true, Professor McGonagall."

Fred instantly trembled all over. On such a hot day, his whole body broke out in cold sweat, and his hands and feet went ice-cold. Could he even keep these "plastic brothers" anymore?

When the Father-Worriers Alliance was established, hadn't they agreed to share blessings and share burdens?

Is The Father-Worriers: Civil War premiering now?

Compared to Fred, who was shaking with cold rage, a certain white-bearded old man was in a very pleasant mood.

The Hogwarts Troublemaking Quartet was finally not being led by Kyle. Dumbledore felt quite gratified.

This was tremendous progress.

He would open a bottle of Kyle's "tribute" fine wine to celebrate as soon as he returned to his office.

Just as Fred was feeling uneasy, the stern look on Professor McGonagall's face suddenly relaxed.

"For the sake of you saving Hagrid tonight, we won't pursue your responsibility." Professor McGonagall's words made Fred feel as if he had been granted a great amnesty.

Dumbledore, ready to return to his office to drink and celebrate, began to shoo people away. "Now, go back to sleep."

However, in the end, the group failed to return to their respective common rooms.

They were intercepted by Madam Pomfrey the moment they stepped into the castle's Entrance Hall.

No matter how much Kyle and George emphasized that their injuries had already been healed by Dumbledore and required no further treatment, Madam Pomfrey forcefully insisted that the two of them stay in the Hospital Wing for observation for one night.

In terms of healing the sick and saving the dying, Madam Pomfrey was the undisputed uncrowned queen of Hogwarts.

Even Dumbledore, who was confident in his own medical magic, did not dare to go against Madam Pomfrey's will in this regard.

So, the two young wizards could only obediently stay in the Hospital Wing.

Early the next morning, after hearing that two of the Hogwarts "Moth-er" Quartet (Troublemakers) were "laying on the planks" (hospitalized) in the school hospital, two little lollies hurriedly ran toward the Hospital Wing.

When they recklessly barged into the infirmary, they saw Kyle, wearing only a pair of trousers, doing one-handed push-ups.

Seeing the two pairs of small leather shoes appear in his line of sight, Kyle pushed off the ground with force from his arm and stood up.

Kyle's six-pack abs were well-defined with clear lines, adorned with a few glistening beads of sweat. Under the illumination of the lights, they emitted a faint shimmer, exuding a unique allure.

Where had these two innocent little witches ever seen such a scene?

Which little witch could withstand such a test?

"Yah!" Hannah let out a startled cry.

Hermione covered her eyes. "Put on your clothes, quickly!"

Hannah paused for a moment, then followed suit and covered her eyes.

But the fingers of the hands covering her face were spread wider than her eyes; no one knew if they could actually block her vision.

Kyle really wanted to tell her: How about you just look openly and honestly?

After Kyle put on his clothes, the two little witches finally removed their hands from their faces, though the blush on their cheeks didn't fade that easily.

The other "Father-Worrier" in the medical ward, who had already woken up, cast a teasing look at Kyle and the two little witches.

Kyle turned his head and glared at George.

Catching the killing intent in Kyle's eyes, George wisely chose to flee.

"Cough, cough, well... I'm leaving first."

Passing by Kyle's side, he even gave Kyle a thumbs-up.

Instantly, only the two little witches with lowered heads and flushed faces, along with a little Demon King who had a mouthful of sarcastic retorts but didn't know where to start, were left in the Hospital Wing.

Oh, wait, there was also a certain Forbidden Forest gamekeeper who was snoring loudly enough to shake the heavens after drinking the Draught of Living Death prepared by Madam Pomfrey.

Hagrid's snoring was truly a mood killer; this was the shared inner thought of both Hermione and Hannah.

Hannah tried hard to suppress the image of Kyle-Abs-Backlighting in her mind, but she couldn't do it, which made her face turn even redder.

"Um... I heard from Hermione about what happened last night. How is your body now?"

"I'm fine. Professor Dumbledore arrived in time." Kyle waved his hand. "Let's go eat breakfast first."

Last night, the four of them had abandoned their half-eaten barbecue to go deep into the Forbidden Forest to fight a certain No-Nose Man.

After the fight, they were exhausted and hungry. They had originally planned to go to the kitchens for a big meal, but they were intercepted by Madam Pomfrey halfway.

Aside from a strange-tasting potion that was suspected to be deliberately concocted by a certain Old Bat out of revenge, Madam Pomfrey hadn't given them a single thing to eat.

If he didn't go eat breakfast soon, Kyle felt he was going to starve to death in the Hospital Wing.
