After releasing the Eight-Tails, Gyūki, back into the Black Lake, the twin brothers began their search for a Jinchūriki within the grounds of Hogwarts.
At first, the pair turned their attention to their good mate, Lee Jordan.
If a Jinchūriki wanted to perfectly master a Tailed Beast's power, they had to gain the beast's approval. This process naturally required the Jinchūriki to interact with the Tailed Beast and build a solid bond of friendship with it.
According to the twins' logic, Lee Jordan—who could sing, dance, rap, and play Quidditch—might just be able to move Gyūki through the power of music.
When Kyle heard their explanation, his face was covered in black lines.
Why don't you two give him eight swords while you're at it and have Lee Jordan cosplay as Killer B?
Kyle immediately vetoed their proposed candidate. He had no desire to see a complete goofball suddenly jump out in the middle of battle shouting:
"Fool, ya fool!"
"I've got power to spare, shining bright and rare! Eight-Tails Lee Jordan, that's me! Yeah!"
He was terrified that if he had to endure such mental pollution in battle, he wouldn't be able to stop himself from casting an Avada Kedavra to sacrifice Lee Jordan to the heavens before even dealing with the enemy.
Thus, the twin brothers had no choice but to continue searching within their circle of friends for a suitable candidate.
If things didn't stray from their original design, becoming a Tailed Beast Jinchūriki would tremendously boost a wizard's strength.
Naturally, it was best to choose from among their friends first—after all, best to keep the good stuff in the family.
So they approached Alicia Spinnet and Angelina Johnson respectively, only to be flatly rejected.
Gyūki was so ugly; how could two teenage girls possibly agree to let the twin brothers stuff such a thing into their bodies...
Uh, phrasing it like that sounded a bit strange.
In short, they thoroughly loathed Gyūki's ugly appearance.
To become a Perfect Jinchūriki, one had to fuse with the corresponding Tailed Beast's bloodline to fully merge with it, thereby unleashing maximum combat power.
Fusing with the bloodline of a magical creature bound to alter a person's physical appearance.
Take Cedric, for instance.
After fusing with the Hydra's bloodline, Cedric's face was currently paler than a freshly painted wall, and his originally large, bright eyes had turned into narrow, slitted snake pupils.
On top of that, his canine teeth—the third teeth counting from his incisors—had turned into long, sharp, venom-secreting fangs under the influence of the bloodline fusion.
While he actually looked pretty cool, that was only from the perspective of the "Father-Troublers," who were unusually accepting of new things.
Had he not been using Human Transfiguration continuously to maintain his original appearance, Cedric would likely have been treated as a monster by the students at Hogwarts by now.
Uh, considering their house emblem, maybe the Slytherin students would have treated him like a treasure instead.
In any case, fusing with a magical creature's bloodline altered a wizard's appearance to a certain extent, depending on the creature involved.
Given Gyūki's appearance, barring a genetic miracle, 99.99% of cases would end up making the person hideous.
Forget about girls—even guys wouldn't necessarily accept such a fate.
If it were Eloise Midgen, that Gryffindor girl with a face full of massive acne, she might not have cared. After all, she was already beyond saving.
After hitting a wall with their fellow Gryffindor Quidditch teammates, the twins were met with rejection after rejection among their slightly less intimate friends.
After countless rejections, George and Fred finally remembered that they didn't seem to be the youngest boys in the large Weasley family.
Uh, right—they still had a foolish little brother named Ron Weasley.
During lunch, Hogwarts students gathered in the Great Hall, enjoying a delicious feast.
Fred and George came running through the open doors of the Great Hall with lighthearted laughs, sliding over to their house table and flinging an arm around each of Ron's shoulders.
Seeing his two unscrupulous older brothers acting so unnaturally affectionate, Ron's guard went up instantly.
He remembered the last time George and Fred wore those exact smiles; they had tried to get him to make an Unbreakable Vow.
He still remembered the terms of that vow clear as day: to stay single for the rest of his life and never get a girlfriend.
Annoyed, he swatted their paws away and said in a thoroughly disgusted tone, "Out with it. If it's nothing, don't bother me while I'm eating."
The shameless twins didn't care at all about the impatience radiating from their foolish little brother.
Fred pointed toward the third-generation Dark Lord sitting over at the neighboring Hufflepuff table.
"Do you want to become like Kyle..." Fred paused mid-sentence.
He thought about it—even if they handed Ron twenty Gyūkis, he probably still wouldn't reach Kyle's level of strength. So he instantly pivoted.
"Do you want to be one-third as strong as Kyle?"
Ahem, one-third was already exaggerating as much as humanly possible. Fred felt that if Ron could become one-tenth as strong as Kyle after becoming a Perfect Jinchūriki, Merlin would truly be blessing him.
Hearing Fred's words, Ron's eyes widened in disbelief.
He pointed to himself, then pointed toward Kyle in the distance. "Me? One-third as strong as Kyle?"
George nodded. "We recently achieved a breakthrough in a piece of research that can boost a wizard's strength."
Although Ron usually seemed slow-witted—a fellow sufferer alongside the chubby Neville Longbottom next to him—he suddenly became sharp as a tack when facing the two unscrupulous brothers who pranked him every day.
"So you're planning to use me as your test subject?" Ron snorted cold. "Not a chance."
George's expression froze. Hold on, little brother!
Seeing this, Fred immediately launched into an emotional, reason-filled, long-winded inspirational speech to brainwash him.
"Look at the Hufflepuff table over there—the Dark Lord reborn of the Grindelwald family, the Obscurial, the third-generation Dark Lord, half-blood of Anglo-Saxon, Germanic, and Gallic descent, Ruler of the Forbidden Forest and Protector of Hogwarts, Leader of the Alliance..."
"And look at your good mate, Harry—the sole heir of the Potter family, and the godson of Sirius, the heir to the Black family. He sits on the fortunes of two great houses and is the famous Savior of the British magical world."
"And then look at us, your brothers—every single one of us is more outstanding than the last."
Listening to his two unscrupulous brothers' "gentle coaxing," Ron unconsciously clenched his fists tightly.
So what if you're outstanding?
Does being outstanding give you the right to do whatever you want?!
George slung an arm around Ron's shoulders, pulled out a title deed for a shop in Diagon Alley from his pocket, and waved it in front of his face. Sorry, but being outstanding really DOES give you the right to do whatever you want.
Fred added the finishing blow: "Now look at yourself—a pathetic nobody who can only hide under a pitch-black blanket every night fantasizing about Madame Rosmerta, the lovely lady from the Three Broomsticks."
Ron hadn't realized there was such a massive gap between himself and the people around him—or rather, he might have noticed, but simply didn't want to face reality.
Now, hearing the twin brothers spell it out, Ron felt as though a sharp blade were stabbing his fragile little heart over and over again. He nearly burst out sobbing right then and there.
"Stop it, stop talking! Fine, I'll be your guinea pig, okay?!"
Hearing Ron's answer, a satisfied smile curled onto the lips of both George and Fred.
