Chapter 3 - The Barrier of Reason

They came at him all at once. Dozens of women — muscles tensed, eyes burning, voices roaring like beasts. Dust rose under their feet as they charged, led by the largest among them — a woman whose body was as massive as her rage. Their melons swayed back and forth as they ran.

To Adrin, it all moved in slow motion.

Their leaps, their snarls, their wild eyes — every detail unfolded like time itself had chosen to crawl.

He let out a quiet sigh.

"So… this is how far desperation can go."

The first woman reached him, her hands outstretched like claws. Then—

Boom!

A shockwave rippled through the area. A cloud of dust billowed up from beneath the foot of the mountain.

When the dust cleared, the scene froze in disbelief:

Every single attacker was suspended three meters away, unable to move closer. Their bodies trembled as if held back by an invisible wall.

The leader gritted her teeth, pushing against the barrier. "What— the fuck is this?! It feels like a wall of iron!"

Adrin stood calmly behind the transparent dome, hands clasped behind his back.

"Forgive me, warriors of Trunka," he said softly. "But this is necessary. There are better, cleaner ways to solve your problem."

His voice carried both pity and authority.

But the women didn't listen. The leader screamed, her tone wild and desperate.

"To hell with your words! I've been waiting my whole life for a man like you. Strong. Pure. Powerful! You will not leave until I've taken your seed! None of them will! I'll kill anyone who tries!"

Adrin tilted his head, a sad smile crossing his face.

"Lust has consumed you all. What remains is only the shell of reason. Well then, I don't think there's anything else we need to talk about here."

He slowly levitated into the air, leaving the wild women gaping in shock. In the blink of an eye, he flew high into the sky. A sonic boom echoed above the mountains as Adrin vanished.

Below, the women staggered in disbelief.

One muttered, "I don't think that was a man. No human being on this planet has that kind of ability."

The leader smirked. "Even better. If he's a god, then bearing his child would make me divine."

Her cruel laughter filled the air, while the others exchanged uneasy glances.

Far above, Adrin flew silently through the clouds. His face was unreadable.

"I must understand this world before I act," he murmured.

He followed the footprints and energy traces left by the Trunka warriors. The trail led downhill, toward a wide valley where smoke and faint human voices echoed.

Soon, he saw it — a settlement.

Small houses built from stone and clay, some thatched with dried grass. Primitive, yet alive. Women moved everywhere, working, talking, laughing. Not a single man in sight.

"As Adam said. This place is full of beautiful women. None of them are ugly. They all have seductive bodies that are very dangerous. I'm not sure any man can resist such temptation upon arriving on this planet. This place truly deserves to be called The Lust Planet."

Adrin landed quietly behind one of the houses. His eyes scanned the air with bare eyes. His pupils turned into glowing like cat's eyes — no signs of advanced technology, no weapons beyond metal spears and bows.

He crouched low, listening.

His enhanced hearing caught whispers from every direction.

"Did you hear about the light on the mountain?"

"Must be a sky demon who wants to steal kidneys! Everyone, you must eat salt in the morning and evening so that your kidneys are safe from being stolen by the devil."

Adrin blinked. "...Kidneys?" He rubbed his temple. "If they keep eating salt twice a day to 'protect' themselves, they'll all have kidney stones in a week."

Then the gossip continues.

"Don't be stupid! It was the prophecy — a man descending from heaven to choose his bride!"

"If he's handsome, I'll let him steal more than just kidneys."

Adrin sighed. "So much for advanced reasoning."

He couldn't reveal himself yet. That would only cause chaos.

"There's no other choice; I had to change my appearance." Adrin thought.

In a blink, his tall, muscular frame shrank. His hair turned gray, his face wrinkled. His teeth jutted out awkwardly, and his perfect posture slumped into a hunch. In moments, Adrin became an old, ugly man with a crooked back and bulging stomach.

"Perfect," he muttered. "Unappealing equals safe."

He stepped out of the shadows and walked into the open street. The women stared.

"A man?" She said.

"Oh no, I forgot to change my gender. No matter how ugly I am, if I'm not a female, I'll still look strange to everyone." Adrin struggled with his own thoughts.

But unexpectedly, the woman then burst into laughter. Her laughter drew a crowd.

"What the hell is that thing?"

"By the gods, he's hideous!"

"Is that really a man?!"

Adrin smiled faintly. Their mockery was music to his ears. Being ridiculed was far better than being groped.

However, there was one thing that Adrin did not anticipate. The laughter turned cruel. Rocks, bottles, even saliva flew toward him. He had to put a protective shield around his body .Even though none of it touched him — each projectile disintegrated midair before contact. Still, Adrin pretended to flinch, covering his head, acting as if every throw had landed.

"Stop! Stop!" he cried out, playing the part.

The situation grew chaotic.

The crowd began to close in, voices rising. "Get him out! He's cursed! We don't want him here!"

Adrin tensed. If anyone touched him directly, the energy field around his skin could vaporize them in an instant. He needed to act fast—

Then, a voice cut through the chaos. A deep, commanding voice.

"EVERYONE STOP!"

The mob froze. Silence fell like a curtain.

Adrin turned slowly toward the sound.

From between the villagers stepped a figure — tall, broad-shouldered, wrapped in tattered cloth.

For the first time among all the people Adrin had met so far, there was no doubt that the person standing there, literally was a man.
