Danzo's cane was deeply embedded in the mud, as he faced off against Uchiha Fugaku.
The explosions around them cast long shadows of their figures, and the clang of Kunai colliding was incessant, yet it did not diminish the solemn atmosphere of the central battlefield.
"So you're finally baring your fangs, Fugaku."
A cold light flickered in Danzo's single eye. He secretly calculated the time; reinforcements should have arrived by now, but only the Uchiha Clan crests flickered in the firelight around them.
A Root Ninja suddenly flew backward, blood from his throat splattering on Danzo's robes.
He looked down at the rapidly cooling corpse, his brows furrowing deeper... and there was still no sign of Uchiha Shisui or Uchiha Itachi, which was highly unusual.
"Your reinforcements won't be coming."
Fugaku finally spoke, his Three-Tomoe Sharingan slowly rotating in his eyes. Explosions reverberated in the distance, their firelight illuminating Danzo's suddenly changed expression.
The veins on his hand, gripping his cane, bulged. That long-unfelt chill of being outmaneuvered was creeping up his spine.
"Danzo!"
Uchiha Fugaku's furious roar resounded like thunder, his Three-Tomoe Sharingan emitting an eerie red glow in the firelight. "The time has come for you to pay for what you've done to the Village and the Uchiha Clan!"
He moved like lightning, the Kunai in his hand slicing through the air with a sharp whistle, aiming directly for Danzo's throat.
Sparks flew as metal collided.
Danzo blocked with his Kunai, a savage grin on his face: "Just with you Uchiha?"
He suddenly stepped back half a pace, his shriveled chest suddenly puffing out: "Wind Release: Vacuum Sphere!"
The highly compressed wind bullet whistled out. Fugaku's Sharingan spun rapidly, and he dodged sideways just as the wind bullet was about to hit his face.
As he flipped, his ten fingers had already formed complex hand signs: "Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique!"
The scorching fireball illuminated half the night sky. Danzo's single eye narrowed, and he retreated rapidly, simultaneously biting his thumb and drawing a bloodstain on the ground: "Summoning Technique!"
Accompanied by a deafening roar, the giant elephant-like Baku shattered the ground.
Fugaku's pupils constricted. Eight shuriken in his hand shot through the air, and his hands, forming hand signs, moved so fast they left afterimages: "Fire Release: Phoenix Sage Fire Claw!"
The burning shuriken scattered like falling flowers, but they were all annihilated by the hurricane sucked in by the Baku's long trunk.
Danzo's figure appeared ghost-like behind Fugaku, his withered fingers forming the Tiger hand sign: "Wind Release: Vacuum Wave!"
"This is bad!"
Fugaku was firmly restrained by the Baku's hurricane, and the wind blade was about to cut him in half
"Bang!"
Amidst the white smoke of the Shadow Clone's explosion, the real Fugaku launched a surprise attack from the shadows.
The cold gleam of a Kunai flashed, and a sharp branch was revealed where Danzo's bandages tore. The erupting wood spikes grazed Fugaku's cheek, drawing a string of blood beads.
"Wood Release?!"
Fugaku staggered backward, horror appearing in his Sharingan for the first time.
Danzo sneered as he wiped his right arm, the newly grown branches writhing like venomous snakes: "The Uchiha's Sharingan should have been Root's nourishment!"
A barrage of wind bullets attacked again. Fugaku hastily dodged, and his left arm was torn open by a gash.
He gritted his teeth and steadied himself, his Sharingan fixed on the enemynow he could only buy time, waiting for Shisui and Itachi to arrive.
Amidst the explosions in the distance, the tragic shouts of his clansmen faintly echoed... Fugaku's Kunai was deeply embedded in Danzo's chest, blood dripping down the blade.
He was breathing heavily, sweat mixed with blood dripping from his chin.
"Finally..."
Just as he let out a sigh of relief, the Danzo in front of him vanished like a phantom.
"Wind Release: Great Vacuum Sphere!"
The sound of rushing air from behind made Fugaku's hair stand on end. In the nick of time, a black figure appeared with a Shunshin, and a Ninja blade collided with the Wind Release, creating dazzling sparks.
"Father."
Itachi's voice was eerily calm, the three tomoe in his Sharingan spinning rapidly. Only then did Fugaku notice that Danzo, not far away, was standing completely unharmed, an eerie Chakra fluctuation faintly visible beneath the bandage on his right eye.
"Izanagi!"
Fugaku's pupils contracted violently, instantly understanding everything. The missing clansmen, the bodies stolen from the battlefield... Anger made his Sharingan almost bleed: "Danzo, how dare you"
"The Uchiha's Sharingan should have always been used for Konoha."
Danzo sneered and took a step back, his single eye constantly glancing around. When he saw the green Susanoo's light illuminating the night sky, his fingers twitched involuntarily.
Uchiha Shisui walked over the burning rubble, his emerald green Susanoo skeleton radiating an astonishing aura.
"The game is over, Lord Danzo."
His voice was soft, but it instantly drenched Danzo's back in cold sweat.
Danzo's Adam's apple bobbed, his peripheral vision sweeping towards the motionless Hokage Rock in the distance.
Hiruzen and Minato had still not appeared, a realization that filled him with an unprecedented chill.
He tightened his grip on his cane, his knuckles turning white: "You think this will"
Just as Shisui's Susanoo was about to strike down Danzo's head, a swirling ripple suddenly distorted in the air.
"It seems you need help, Danzo."
A low, cold voice sounded, and a mysterious figure wearing a tiger-striped mask appeared out of thin air.
His exposed scarlet Sharingan slowly rotated, his gaze lingering on Shisui's Susanoo for a moment: "Mangekyo Sharingan... Uchiha Shisui..."
"It's you!"
Itachi's pupils constricted violently, the Ninja blade in his hand trembling slightly.
The figure who slaughtered his comrades overlapped with the person before him, making him almost lose control of his killing intent.
Fugaku stared at the masked man's single Sharingan in shock, his voice trembling: "Who are you? Could it be..."
An absurd conjecture surfaced in his mind, and his fingers unconsciously tightened around his Kunai.
The masked man did not answer, merely scanning the Uchiha corpses on the battlefield with indifference. His goal was the Sharingan of the Uchiha Clan, but he hadn't expected a change, and Danzo seemed to have been outmaneuvered.
As he pondered, he suddenly felt a chill behind him, and the light of a Flying Thunder God seal suddenly lit up behind him.
Minato's figure flashed like a golden lightning bolt, a brilliant blue Chakra sphere aimed directly at the masked man's back.
In the nick of time, the masked man's body strangely phased out. The Rasengan passed through him, creating a huge crater in the ground.
"Fourth Hokage-sama!"
Shisui exclaimed.
Minato landed beside Shisui, the Flying Thunder God Kunai in his hand gleaming coldly: "It really is you..."
He quietly stared at the masked man, "The culprit who attacked Kushina and released the Nine-Tailed to wreak havoc on the Village."
Obito's heart pounded beneath his mask; he had almost taken another Rasengan. He thought to himself: "As expected of my sensei, I was discovered as soon as I appeared..."
He gazed at Minato's familiar face, an indescribable emotion welling up in his heart: "But you don't recognize me..."
"Shisui, Itachi, Fugaku,"
Minato reminded them in a deep voice, "To make a long story short, his phasing ability makes him immune to all physical attacks, but he will definitely materialize when he attacks."
Fugaku and the others changed their expressions upon hearing this, immediately adopting a battle stance.
An eerie standoff immediately formed on the battlefieldthe masked man and Danzo stood together, facing the Yellow Flash Minato Namikaze, Shunshin Shisui, and Uchiha Fugaku and his son.
The night wind ruffled their robes, and the Sharingan and Flying Thunder God Kunai gleamed with a cold light.
