Chapter 73 - Turned Into Gacha?! - 73

Moving through quantum states didn't require much computational power—just an instinctive application of Quantumization on herself, and her entire being phased into the dimensional void.

It was a six-dimensional space, where both time and space could be manipulated like strings.

Unfortunately, neither Amber nor Dark Amber had any understanding of this six-dimensional realm, so all they could manage were simple spatial shifts within it.

But that wasn't the only inconvenience. In this space, there was no one else besides her, and no tangible structures from reality existed. The only thing Amber could do was sense the markers she'd placed before entering—allowing instant teleportation between two fixed points.

Since Amber didn't know Yuji and Fushiguro's exact locations at the school, she had placed the marker on Gojo Satoru. Wherever Gojo moved, she'd remain steadily by his side.

As a result, Gojo continuously saw Amber following closely behind him. No matter how fast or slow he moved, the distance between them never varied. If not for her sweet and innocent face, even he might've found it a bit unsettling.

Yet even at Gojo's top speed, by the time they arrived, they saw Fushiguro already summoning his Shikigami, poised to attack, while Yuji stood awkwardly, trying desperately to calm the situation.

"What's going on here?"

Landing behind Fushiguro, Gojo felt a sense of foreboding.

"Gojo-sensei!?"

Fushiguro Megumi, who had been prepared to fight to the death, was taken aback, a flicker of hope rising in his heart.

His technique was the Zenin clan's pinnacle art: Ten Shadows Technique. Without a doubt, it stood alongside the Six Eyes and the Limitless Cursed Technique. Its reputation came largely from one ultimate Shikigami among the ten—Mahoraga.

The Ten Shadows Shikigami weren't simply summoned and commanded. They had to be tamed through combat. Untamed Shikigami would attack not only the enemy but the user as well.

Fushiguro's earlier action had been a desperate move—to summon Mahoraga and take them all down together.

"Did Itadori-senpai… become a vessel?"

Amber hadn't expected to be too late. But… perhaps it wasn't entirely a bad thing.

Fu Hua had once told her that while altering the storyline was her choice, she'd also lose the advantage of foresight.

Unless a change was absolutely necessary, there was no point risking things turning worse.

"And you are?"

Only then did Fushiguro notice the petite girl following behind Gojo. She seemed a bit younger than him.

Why would anyone bring a girl like this to such a dangerous place?

"Ah, Seele-chan."

Yuji was the first to notice Amber's presence.

"You know each other?" Gojo asked curiously.

Amber didn't actually know Yuji—at least, not outside of the anime.

But the school gate had the words "Sugisawa" written on it, and Yuji was fairly famous at school. Though they were in different divisions—high school and middle school—they shared the same playground, so it wasn't strange that she recognized him.

What surprised her was that Yuji seemed to know her, too.

"Itadori-senpai is pretty well-known at school," Amber said simply.

"Nah, Seele-chan is famous too! You're cute, and you even work part-time to help your family. Everyone thinks you're amazing."

Yuji scratched the back of his head sheepishly.

"Haha, of course—she's my student."

Even though she hadn't officially enrolled yet, Gojo had no problem taking credit. Then he got down to business: "So, what's the situation here, young man? Did you eat something… unusual?"

"Uh, well…"

Yuji remembered how Fushiguro had been ready to fight him to the death. He could tell Fushiguro wasn't the type to betray others or hurt ordinary people without reason—so there must have been some rule he didn't know about.

But he wasn't one to shy away from responsibility.

With a pained expression, he admitted, "I ate a finger with a really long fingernail."

"For real?"

"For real."

He genuinely found it absurd. Just this morning, he'd taken in Seele, a special-grade cursed spirit incarnate, and now, by evening, another heavyweight showed up—one who'd straight up eaten one of Sukuna's fingers.

At least he'd already dealt with one case and had some experience. From the residual cursed energy at the scene, it was clear Yuji had acted out of necessity to help Fushiguro.

But still…

"What's going on lately? Special-grade cursed incarnates are supposed to be rare, yet here we have two, neither killed by their curses, and both able to suppress the cursed spirits inside them. Has the world already left even someone like me behind?"

Gojo strolled casually toward Yuji Itadori.

"Impressive—it's completely merged with you."

This was entirely different from Seele's situation. If Seele's cursed spirit remained quietly in its "vessel," Yuji's was watching him like a predator.

"Huh?"

Yuji didn't really understand, but he knew his situation wasn't great.

"You can let Sukuna out, right? And you can suppress him again whenever?" Gojo asked.

"Sukuna? Oh, you mean the ghost from the finger?" Yuji nodded. "I can let him out, and I can force him back down… Wait, what do you mean, 'also'?"

Was he not the only one?

While Gojo was still assessing the situation, Amber had already taken out bandages to dress Fushiguro's wounds.

Where did the bandages come from? She'd torn them from Fushiguro's own uniform sleeves as a temporary measure.

"Thanks."

Fushiguro had lost quite a bit of blood and had been on the verge of losing consciousness earlier. But with someone reliable now present and his determination to fight to the end, adrenaline had briefly restored his focus.

That didn't mean his injuries were insignificant.

"No problem."

Amber wanted the Herrscher of Death and Rebirth's core more than ever. She'd decided—tonight, even if it cost all her points, she was going to pull for it!

Boom!

The sound of shattered buildings echoed not far from them. Gojo was already fighting Yuji, who had transformed into Sukuna.

Though it was called a fight, anyone could see that Sukuna—with just one finger's worth of power—was nothing more than a toy in Gojo's hands. This wasn't a battle so much as a waiting game to see if Yuji could regain control before time ran out.

Sukuna knew it, too. His killing intent surged, and he thought about taking out the two spectators to teach this white-haired bastard a lesson.

But the moment his eyes fell on Amber, he found it hard to look away.

Strong—immensely powerful cursed energy. And a body that, despite its small frame, held strength far beyond its appearance. Just who was this?

And that spiky-haired kid—his technique was intriguing, too.

Since when did this era have such a diverse range of skilled sorcerers?
