After the dream, Jungtae couldn't stop thinking about Woojin. He tried calling him several times, but the calls went unanswered. He sent messages asking if he had returned from the trip, but there was no reply.
He stared at his phone longer.
'What's wrong with him?'
Woojin lay in the bathtub, his back pressed against the cold porcelain. Water reached his chest as he stared up at the bathroom ceiling. His phone kept vibrating on the edge of the tub, the sound echoing in the quiet room.
He didn't move at first.
His jaw tightened. His fingers curled under the water.
Owen was still alive. His plan failed once again.
Not only that… Jungtae had stayed with him in the hospital for ten days.
Woojin's breathing grew heavier. His hand slammed against the water, sending waves against the tub's sides.
The phone vibrated again.
This time, he reached for it. The screen lit up with Jungtae's name. Missed calls. Messages stacked one after another.
