*Ring ring*
Ben woke up in the morning , annoyed by the ringing phone by his bedside.
After a while, it stopped as it should.
Peace again.
*ring ring ring*
Ben annoyed again picked it up and just shouted into it
"WHAT!?"
"Yo. When are you free today?"
"Who`s talking? Jason?"
"B**ch it`s Adam. I need a favor again"
"Ugh....you can`t call at some normal hour?"
"....."
"...its 10 am. Get your a** out of the bed. I need a ride"
"Fine fine....I`ll get to you.....some time soon"
"Suuuuuuure. I`ll send you the address"
*hangs up*
"I hate him."
But Ben got up, grabbed something quick to eat and changed into appropriate clothes.
Car, rev up the engine and check where does the annoying man lives.
15 minutes later, Adam went into his car.
"Sup"
".....F**k you. Where you need to go" High fives him on the entrance anyways
"I don`t know. System s**t" Adam sat next him " I`ll tell you where its pointing"
"AAAAAAA. Why did agree to this???"
But they drove anyways.
Turns and turns, since the arrow kept changing direction all the time.
Arguing that Adam cant properly describe where an invisible arrow is pointing but, they got to.....wherever they were in the end.
"You sure this is here"
"Yup. The arrow is pointing ..here" Adam stood in the middle of a crossroad.
Ben parked the car somewhere empty and got back to him
"So. What are we doing here?"
"Oh. It`s just me. I just needed a ride."
Ben`s face showed incredible disappointment and anger
"And a ride back. possibly to the hospital"
his face changed a bit more to interest and curiosity.
"I`m taking the exam"
"Good luck then" And then Ben left.
'Alright.....let`s go'
"ARMOR. SWORD." And the equipment appeared as usual.
"status" and the status window appeared, with the exam quest in there.
Adam pressed the pop-up.
[Are you sure you want to take the Promotion exam now?]

[Are you sure you are prepared for the exam]

'No I`m not but I`m doing this s**t anyways'

For a second nothing happened.
But then a light from the sky, similar to the one that begun the whole angel-monster apocalypse and also a similar angel came down in a beam of light.
Only smaller. Less dignified, but still clearly an angel. Wings, fire aura etc.
And very very similar armor to the ones the soldiers were wearing, just more grand.
[Greetings human. I am Ruthiel, assigne to your advancement examination]
[I will ask you for the last time. Are you prepared for what is to come]
"YES. I . AM"
[Very well]
The angel snapped her armored fingers and a gate appeared in front of Adam.
[You will face three challenges]
[Where you to fail any, your examination will come to an end]
[Prepare yourself for the first obstacle]
Ruthiel, the angel, flew upwards a bit like to move away from something.
"GRUAAGAHA"
and well that something just came out of the gate.
Not a giant goblin ,but still larger than a normal one.
Not heavy armored but clearly not wearing scraps.
A large scimitar in its hand and a shield in the other one, an open helmet and a few bad quality armor pieces here and there.
Its eyes starred at Adam ever since it came from the black entrance.
*pheeeew* "Alright. I can do this"
And the two of them charged at each other.
Immediately the big goblin swung his scimitar side ways, and almost as fast Adam slid on his knees under it and tried to get up as fast as possible.
*slam*
Shield , which Adam kind of didn`t notice, slammed into him just as he got up.
'B**ch' mostly cause he had to get back up again.
The angel watched from on top of the building in silence.
Second try
Charge in, look for the enemy blade.
Check
roll down into it and remember about its other head.
Check
Get up and look at any other possible dangerous parts of its body
Check
And finally- slash it

*low growl* the big goblin looked at his leg and a tiny amount blood coming out of it.
'mmm not good' Adam instantly ran away.
*higher growl* as the monsters grinned at his prey scare of it
The angel looked like it took some notes , but it was really hard to see anything from Adam`s perspective
3rd time`s the charm
Prepare again to go in.
Remember every single thing you read in the swordsmanship manual.
And god`s sake, don`t get hit again.
*inhales*
slowly, Adam started to walk towards the BG ( big goblin ).
3rd time the goblin swung his sword , although straight down this time.
Which was even better for Adam, since there was enough time and space on the street to simply, move away.
*CLANG*
And when the shield came, dodge roll again.
BG was no standing in a beautiful position, sword in the ground, shield very forward and almost falling over.
Now, if attacking the legs does little damage....
Attack the legs again. Just lower, aim at the ankle....
*Kch-Tschkhk* the tendons snapped under the full power of Adam`s swing.
*uUUUGHAAAA* the BG turned around angry but Adam had already moved.
As it charged back at him, the leg gave up from the strike and the goblin fell on its knee.
Adam managed to make one single jump and climb on its back.
When the BG stood up and almost threw him off, the desperate attempt and another brilliant/dumb idea came to his mind
Stab him in the back.
Kind of worked, the sword went into his body....and stopped there while its wielder got thrown onto the ground.
"WEAPON" the sword turned to smoke
Bleeding now from 2 bad places, the BG also slowed down.
"He he" Adam caught his breath "Come on you big dumb b**ch"
With a simple point and waving toward himself, the goblin was smart (and pissed enough) to growl again and start walking.
In the middle of getting its speed, the shield was thrown away and with both hands, it swung down where Adam stood.
stood a second ago.
Since he also threw away his weight, now to reappear in its hands with a simple command
"SWORD" and then get stuck again in the giants stomach.
Well almost stuck, Adam pulled it out as fast as possible to then attack again.
*smack* but a simple backhand slap got to him first.
Not that it mattered at this point.
Bleeding and oozing his insides, the giant wasn`t able to walk properly anymore.
Adam didn`t have to do anything at this point. Just wait.
It`s sword was dropped, then the whole body hit the ground and Adam casually came closer.
"Good fight. Now die"
Stab to the neck, and blood slowly dripped from the wound.
*clap clap clap*
[Well done human]
The angel finished making notes on its own system window in the air and flew down from the building
[Your first obstacle is now complete]
[We will now continue on with the second challenge]

"Yes please, give me a second"
Adam ran into the nearest convenience store and left the angel in the middle of the street.
