I didn't know if I should feel insulted or proud of those words, but it was somewhere along the line of in between.
"Go ahead, run it," Jenna dared me. "You might find out I'm right unless the data isn't wiped already."
I eyed her closely, trying to figure out why she was deeply set on this.
"How does this help your situation?"
"It doesn't." She leaned away from her seat and rested her arms on the table. "It's been this struggle for years, and no matter what I do, I can't trace anything back to them."
"How convenient."

"You know him, right? I ran a background check on him when I found some photos of you two during Midnight College. You must've been close."
