"Move now!" he barked in my ear, and I dashed for the exit.
Amidst doing that, I turned and saw that a fire had been started.
I hesitated about going back, but a hand grabbed me and covered a handkerchief over my nose.

"Forty minutes tops."
That was Noah's voice.
I groaned, trying to open my eyes, but the whole place was too bright, so I had to use my hand to block.
"Already up, sleepyhead?"
My eyes got used to the light, and I realized a chandelier was hanging above me. I blinked when I heard a sharp click-clack. The person behind that voice stepped forward.
I tautened and sat up, dragged myself backwards until I almost fell off the couch.
