The White Gundam and the Sunflower Gundam sped over the mountains at full throttle, their thrusters roaring as they sliced through the morning air. In the White Gundam's cockpit, Zaki and Maki were focused. Beside them, Augustina Mcgraven, in the sand-yellow Sunflower Gundam cockpit, controlled her new unit with newfound confidence.
Their goal: to intercept the Tracen Army before they reached the Mars Colony Base and triggered a major battle near the civilian area.
They arrived at the attack location dramatically. The Tracen Army's Pioneer Mobile Suits had already begun firing at the Mars Colony base perimeter. Suddenly, the White Gundam and the Sunflower Gundam appeared in the middle of the attacking formation, moving quickly to separate the rebel forces from the Colonian Mobile Suits.
All the Colonian Mobile Suits and the Tracen Army's Pioneer units were startled. They were blocked by two unknown Gundam units.
In the conflict area, a Colonian news helicopter had, without anyone realizing it, arrived and captured the moment, broadcasting it live.
Far away in a hidden base, King Sirius Nelphime of the Mercury Colony watched the live broadcast with wide eyes. On the screen, he saw the White Mobile Suit he hated, and beside it, a sand-yellow Mobile Suit unit with unique wings.
"That... That's impossible! That's the Romeo Blu unit!" King Sirius roared, his face red with fury. "The color and shape are different, but that's my technology! They took my unit and repainted it!"
King Sirius's anger peaked. His pride unit, which was supposed to be his secret weapon, was now turned against him and displayed before the entire Colony via news broadcast.
On the battlefield, Augustina Mcgraven immediately opened an encrypted public communication channel to all Tracen Army units.
"Troy Steven! Stop the assault immediately!" Augustina commanded, her voice filled with authority. "This Mars Base is too close to the civilian area! You will kill innocent Earth inhabitants and Colonians!"
From the dark red, heavily modified Pioneer Mobile Suit that served as his personal unit, Troy Steven laughed cynically. He was a ruthless man and did not care about civilian casualties.
"Augustina? You've become a Colonian lackey! I don't care about the civilian area! You want to be a hero? Get out of the way! Or I'll destroy you and your pathetic yellow unit!" Troy retorted.
Troy Steven immediately ordered the entire Tracen Army to attack the two new Mobile Suits before them.
Zaki took a breath. "Alright, Maki. We can't negotiate. Augustina, you handle their Pioneer forces. Use the Sunflower's speed and your Beam Rifles. AIRIS and I will handle that Dark Red one!"
"Be careful, Zaki!" Augustina replied, activating the Sunflower Gundam's thrusters.
The Sunflower Gundam sped up quickly, using its newfound agility to evade the Tracen Army Pioneers' fire, retaliating with a precise burst of fire from its two Beam Rifles. The sand-yellow unit moved like a fairy, breaking up the Tracen Army's attacking formation.
Meanwhile, Zaki focused the White Gundam on engaging Troy Steven. Zaki decided to fight Troy Steven at close range. He knew Troy was known for his dual Heat Sabers and physical aggression—the reckless Red Oni of Earth.
"Maki, Beam Sub Machine Gun secured. Deploy the single Beam Saber!"
"Ready, Zaki! Right Beam Saber active!"
The White Gundam immediately stored the Beam Sub Machine Gun on its rear and deployed a single Beam Saber from the Beam Saber storage on its shoulder into its right hand.
Troy Steven saw the White Gundam approaching and laughed. "You think that toy sword can beat my Heat Sabers, kid? You'll be scorched!"
Troy darted forward. Two blazing red hot blade swords from his Pioneer unit clashed with the White Gundam's single Beam Saber.
CLAAANG! CLAAANG!
The close-quarters battle was intense. Zaki, aided by real-time movement data from AIRIS, was able to match Troy Steven's wild movements. Troy attacked with brutal force, while Zaki countered with precise technique and timing.
In the midst of the fierce battle, Troy Steven suddenly pulled back slightly.
"You're dodging too much! Taste this!" Troy yelled.
He activated the missile pods on his legs and fired a barrage of small, high-powered missiles not at the White Gundam, but at the Mars Colony Base behind them. Troy wanted to force the White Gundam to let down its guard or cause inevitable destruction.
"Damn it! He's targeting civilians!" Zaki shouted.
Zaki had no choice. He had to sacrifice his position.
"Maki! AIRIS! Let's destroy those missiles!" Zaki commanded.
With lightning speed, Zaki rotated the White Gundam 180 degrees. Maki and AIRIS immediately worked together.
Maki locked onto the fast-moving targets, while AIRIS automatically activated the Vulcan Cannon on the White Gundam's head.
DOR! DOR! DOR!
The Vulcan Cannon rounds struck the missiles streaking towards the base, detonating them in the air into a harmless rain of debris. Zaki successfully protected the base.
However, the sacrifice came at a price.
Troy Steven, who had anticipated the maneuver, took advantage of the moment when the White Gundam couldn't maneuver.
The Dark Red Pioneer Mobile Suit rammed the White Gundam with its body, sending it tumbling down.
The White Gundam was thrown downward, falling freely towards the rocky surface.
"Zaki! We're falling!" Maki yelled in a panic.
"Not yet!" Zaki shouted. He immediately stomped on the thrust pedals.
Seconds before the White Mobile Suit hit the ground, Zaki activated the thrusters in its backpack and legs. The White Gundam stopped abruptly, creating a thick plume of dust, then quickly returned to a standing, ready position.
Troy Steven quickly righted his Mobile Suit, laughing. "Not bad, kid! But you've shown your weakness! You care too much about other people!"
Zaki regulated his breathing. The battle had just begun, and the Tracen Army leader was more dangerous than he had anticipated. On the other side, Augustina, seeing the White Gundam briefly pressured, further increased the Sunflower Gundam's aggression to stop Troy's backup forces.
