Nacht, Kisa, and Diego are traveling. They're in a city in a valley when Diego suddenly disappears. When they find him, it looks like he's with a woman. Nacht is angry, but Kisa stops him—right then a strange person appears.
"Kaboom."

A violent explosion wipes out everything on the street.
Diego: "(Cough)… (cough)… what's happening…?"
(Tap!) (Tap!) (Tap!)
"Oh… I finally found you… my dear Big… Bad… Wolf."
He shows a wanted poster. It's a bounty.
"My name is Jack the Ripper… As you can see… I came just for you… or rather for your Tale…"
The bounty amount is 3,000 Grims.
Jack the Ripper: "…"
Diego: "Ugh…"
Diego tries to stand, but suddenly Jack is right in front of him.
Jack the Ripper: "…And now… goodbye…"
Diego: "Ugh…"
Someone intercepts with a sword; Jack blocks it with his pistol.
Jack the Ripper: "Hmm… I thought I'd already finished you off."
Nacht: "Ghhh…"
Bodies are everywhere—men, women, even children.
Jack the Ripper: "Hehe… strong of you to survive."
He springs back.
Jack the Ripper: "Not bad… boy…"
Nacht is badly injured; one arm is twisted and blue.
Jack the Ripper: "What about the other girl?"
Diego: "Nacht."
Nacht: "…tssk."
Jack the Ripper: "No matter…"
Smoke pours from his cigarette.
Jack the Ripper: "All right then… let's begin."
The smoke becomes a pistol. He catches it and takes aim.
Jack the Ripper: "Let… the show… begin."
(Bang!) (Bang!) (Bang!)
He fires repeatedly. Nacht dodges most shots, but there are many.
Jack the Ripper: "Heheheh."
(Bang!)
A bullet hits Nacht in the shoulder.
Nacht: "Ugh…"
He drops to one knee.
Nacht: "Ghhh…"
Diego: "Nacht…"
Diego moves toward him.
Jack the Ripper: "It's over… little boy!"
(Whoosh!)
Jack the Ripper: "Huh!"
Someone attacks again; he parries with his pistol and jumps back.
Jack the Ripper: "Huh?"
Kisa: "Hahh… hahh…"
It's Kisa.
Kisa: "Hahh… hahh…"
Jack the Ripper: "Well, well… a new enemy… I thought you were dead too…"
Kisa: "Hahh…"
(Splop!)
She's badly hurt—blood on her face and all over her body.
Kisa: "Haaahh…"
Jack the Ripper: "So you barely made it."
Kisa: "You bastard… You dragged lots of innocent people into this."
Jack the Ripper smiles.
Jack the Ripper: "So what… that's how it is…"
Kisa: "…"
She charges.
(Whoosh!)
Jack the Ripper: "Very slow… very weak."
Kisa: "Hahh…"
Jack the Ripper: "Those pretty eyes… my, my. White brows… shining blue eyes…"
Diego: "For the record… she's a minor."
Jack the Ripper: "Wha—! You've got to be kidding…"
Nacht: "Great… we're being attacked by a creep?"
Jack the Ripper: "Shut up! Or I'll shoot you in the—… I mean… in the head…"
Nacht: "(Sweats)"
Diego: "(Sweats)… oh man."
He takes another drag, then grows serious.
Jack the Ripper: "Anyway… I'm after the wolf boy… nothing else. We belong to… the Billy Family…"
Diego: "Billy Family?"
Nacht: "…ugh… not the Underworld…"
Diego: "Underworld?"
Nacht: "The world where criminals live…"
Jack the Ripper: "Exactly. Enough talk."
Smoke rolls out.
He lunges at Kisa.
Jack the Ripper: "Hehe."
Kisa: "Ugh!"
The smoke rapidly forms another pistol and he shoots her in the shoulder.
Kisa: "Urk…"
Nacht: "Ugh!"
Diego: "Huh…"
Kisa clutches her shoulder.
Diego: "No… Kisa!"
Blood is spilling.
Jack the Ripper: "All right… next…"
Nacht: "Ugh…"
Kisa: "Urk… gahh… hahh…"
He aims at her head.
Jack the Ripper: "No one gets in my way."
Suddenly an alarm blares. Guards swarm in and aim at him.
Jack the Ripper: "Damn… guess that bomb wasn't the best idea…"
"Fire!"
They open fire, but his legs turn to ash; he shoots back at the officers.
(Bang!) (Bang!) (Bang!)
Jack the Ripper: "Phewww."
He flicks his cigarette at them—then a massive blast.
(Kabooom!)
(Tap!) (Tap!)
Jack the Ripper: "Hahh… now then… back to our… target… Hm?"
When the smoke clears… they're gone.
Jack the Ripper: "…oh… crap… I focused too much on the officers…"
Nacht is fleeing, carrying Kisa in his arms; Diego runs behind.
Diego: "Who… was… that…?"
Nacht: "Doesn't matter. We need to treat Kisa now… he barely missed her throat… I don't know why she isn't regenerating."
Diego: "Ugh!"
Nacht: "Ugh."
They look up—Jack stands on a rooftop and opens fire; they dodge.
Jack the Ripper: "Because these bullets work against Tale contracts and curses. The bullets themselves… have nothing to do with magiya. As long as what hurts you isn't magiya or a supernatural beast… we can injure you hunters."
He keeps shooting.
Jack the Ripper: "Give me the werewolf…"
Diego: "…Hey… Nacht…"
Nacht: "What?"
Diego: "I'll distract him… get Kisa to safety."
Nacht: "Rookie, are you insane?"
Diego: "It's the only option… Even if he missed her throat, the wound is bad…"

Diego transforms into the werewolf and charges Jack.

His fingers all turn into pistols and he fires at Diego. Nacht uses the opening to flee.

They run. Diego keeps fighting.

Jack the Ripper: "Yee-haw! Now this I like… Let's dance, Big Bad Wolf!"
Diego's claws rip through an entire house.
Jack the Ripper: "Not bad… bang… bang… hehe."
He clamps four cigarettes in his mouth, spits them all out, and they explode.
(Kaboom!)
Jack the Ripper: "Hehehehe… Huh!"
Diego bursts from the smoke right in front of him.
Jack the Ripper: "Ugh!"
(Roar!)
Diego smashes him, hurling him through buildings.
(Crash!) (Crash!) (Crash!) (CRASH!!!!)
Jack the Ripper: "Ugh… whoa… didn't expect that… hehe… all right then… Wolf… uh…"
A woman is inside the wrecked house, trembling. He bows.
Jack the Ripper: "Pardon the intrusion, young lady… Better not scream… or I'll have to kill you."
She tries to run; he grabs her.
Jack the Ripper: "Tsk, tsk… it's fine… Oh… you're young… (Sweats) Hope you're not underage like the last one. Hey, cowboy… come back or I'll kill her. Don't keep me waiting…"
The smoke thins—Diego is already gone.
Jack the Ripper: "Uh… he's gone. Oh…"

Diego is running.
Diego: "Hahh… hahh… hahh…"
"Arrrrgh!"
A scream.
Jack the Ripper (voice): "Hey, cowboy… hear that? I've got a hostage."
Diego: "Ugh… damn…"
Diego runs back.
Jack the Ripper: "Oh… you're back… hehe."
Diego: "Let her go."
Jack the Ripper: "I won't."
(Beep… beep… beep… beep)
Jack the Ripper: "Oh… already? I've got to go."
He shoves her aside and shoots her in the chest.
(Bang!)
Diego: "Ugh…"
Jack the Ripper: "Hehehehe…"
Diego: "You bastard."
Jack the Ripper: "Oops… I really must be going. I've got another bounty—more important. Goodbye… boy…"
He dissolves into ash and vanishes.
Diego: "Ghhh… ugh…"
"Urk…"
Diego: "Hang on."

Nacht: "Hello… hello… please open up!"
The door opens.
"What's going on out here, man… huh?"
Nacht: "Sorry… are you a doctor? She's badly hurt. Please…"

He opens up—it's Diego.
Diego: "She's badly wounded… please…"
