Chapter 63 - Chapter: Return to the Manor

Chapter: Return to the Manor

The farm in front of the manor was over a hundred acres total.

Previously, Ivennie had practiced plant growth magic on the farm and planted crops such as corn, tomatoes, asparagus, eggplant, cucumbers, etc.

Golden sunlight sprinkled on the fields. The green crops swayed gently in the wind. All kinds of fruits and vegetables grew well—full of green.

There were many fallen leaves in the small garden in front of the manor.

Ivennie wore a light-green dress and took a broom to sweep the fallen leaves in the garden.

"Look, I picked so many corns!"

Mina smiled and carried a basket of corn, walking to Cheng Yu.

Cheng Yu peeled a corn. The kernels were full, exuding a faint corn fragrance—not too old, not too tender, just right for cooking.

"Let's cook corn tonight."

"Okay!"

Mina walked into the house carrying corn.

Sitting at the stone table in the garden, Cheng Yu took out The Complete Book of Plants and Animals on the Celsis Continent to study.

Cheng Yu had started studying this book soon after crossing over. He'd learned about two-thirds of it.

Cheng Yu basically knew the common animals and plants on the Celsis Continent.

However, to better identify ingredients, he still had to continue learning.

After cleaning up the fallen leaves, Ivennie sat next to Cheng Yu, took out a translucent crystal bottle from her pocket, and placed it on the stone table. The bottle contained a golden seed.

This crystal bottle had been obtained by Ivennie in the labyrinth secret room. She'd been carrying it with her.

"This seed is so beautiful. I wonder what kind of seed it is?"

Ivennie lay at the table, looking at the golden seed in the bottle with bright eyes.

Cheng Yu looked at the seed in the bottle. He'd studied The Encyclopedia of Animals and Plants on the Celsis Continent and knew the seeds of many plants, but he couldn't recognize what plant this seed was.

However, since this golden seed was a reward in the labyrinth, it shouldn't be a bad thing.

"Try planting it in the soil," Cheng Yu suggested.

"Okay!"

Ivennie also planned to plant this seed.

She opened the crystal bottle lid, poured out the golden seed, walked to the edge of the farmland, and planted it.

She took out her magic staff, chanted the incantation for plant growth magic, and used it on the seed.

Magical energy acted on the golden seed.

Absorbing moisture and nutrients in the soil, the golden seed quickly took root and sprouted, grew tender golden leaves, and in less than a minute, grew into a sapling over two meters high.

The leaves of this sapling were shaped like tridents. The trunk and leaves were golden. The whole tree was golden—shining in the sun.

"Golden tree?"

A bit of surprise appeared on his face. It was the first time Cheng Yu had seen such a tree.

Aren't all trees green?

Can golden trees photosynthesize?

Ivennie's expression was more surprised than Cheng Yu's. "Isn't this the rumored Golden Tree?"

"What's a Golden Tree?"

"Once upon a time, our Forest Elves had a holy place called the Golden Forest. Many Golden Trees grew there. After being baptized by the Golden Forest, the blood of Forest Elves would be sublimated. However, the Golden Forest was destroyed in the ancient war of gods. The Golden Trees became extinct."

The Labyrinth of the God of Order was born before the ancient war of gods. It was reasonable to keep a Golden Tree seed in it.

Plant growth magic was relatively elementary magic. This Golden Tree was affected by plant growth magic—stopped growing when it reached over two meters high.

Closing her eyes, Ivennie placed her palm on the Golden Tree's trunk and used magic to communicate with it.

In an instant, Ivennie felt the blood of the Forest Elf royal family in her body boiling with excitement.

"Yes, this is the Golden Tree! The seeds of the Golden Tree are still preserved in the Labyrinth of the God of Order!"

In the documents of the Forest Elves, the Golden Tree had been extinct. No one would've thought there was still a Golden Tree seed in this world.

"What's the use of this tree?" Cheng Yu was curious.

"The Golden Tree can baptize the blood of Forest Elves, improve their talents, and release more powerful plant magic."

If the Forest Elf royal family was a genius in plant magic—after the baptism of the Golden Tree, blood talent would be further improved. Such talent could only be described as demonic.

"Really? Show me a Tree World Birth."

Cheng Yu imagined the scene of Ivennie clapping her hands and summoning countless tree roots and vines.

Ivennie was puzzled. "What's Tree World Birth?"

"Nothing. Forget it if you don't know," Cheng Yu said.

Ivennie put her palm on the tree trunk and used the power of the Golden Tree to baptize her own blood.

The waist-length green hair grew wildly and soon reached over two meters long.

Hair was a symbol of vitality. The hair of the young was black and lush, while the hair of the elderly was gray and sparse. This showed the Golden Tree was improving Ivennie's physique.

Can the Golden Tree help hair growth? Good news for people with hair loss, Cheng Yu muttered internally.

At that moment, Mina came out of the house and saw a small golden tree growing beside the farmland. She was surprised. "Wow, what's this?"

"Golden Tree," Cheng Yu said lightly.

Mina stared at the Golden Tree in a daze. "Such a beautiful tree. Can it be eaten?"

"No, you foodie." Cheng Yu smiled.

He remembered the first day he'd bought Mina back—he'd given Mina soap and asked her to take a bath. Mina had eaten the soap.

"It's boring if you can't eat it."

Shaking her head in disappointment, Mina lost interest in the Golden Tree.

After standing in front of the Golden Tree for over ten minutes, Ivennie returned to Cheng Yu with her long green hair.

Cheng Yu looked up at Ivennie after she was baptized by the Golden Tree. Her skin was white and rosy—tender as tofu. She was a bit taller and more beautiful.

Ivennie has been strengthened to an epic level, Cheng Yu exclaimed internally.

Mina saw Ivennie's long hair dragging on the ground. "Ivennie, your hair is too long. Do you want Sister Mina to help you cut some?"

"Help me cut some. It's inconvenient to have my hair dragging on the ground."

Mina went to the house to get scissors.

Ivennie sat next to Cheng Yu, raised her right palm—magic power gathered in her palm, forming a circular magic array pattern. A large number of vines burst from the ground around the stone table.

Vine magic was just an ordinary first-tier magic, but in Ivennie's hands, the power was far beyond first-tier magic—even exceeded some second-tier magic.

"You only know one first-tier vine magic. What a waste of talent."

Cheng Yu thought for a moment. "I'll help you get some powerful plant magic when I have time."

"Thank you, Master Cheng Yu!" Ivennie hugged Cheng Yu's waist and pressed close to him.

Cheng Yu touched Ivennie's long elf ears and kissed her on the face.

Mina came out with scissors and helped Ivennie cut her two-meter-long hair shorter.
