The cold winds of the Frost Land swept through the training ground as Tang Xan stood before a massive stone boulder, its surface glimmering faintly under the silver light of the moon. His body was surrounded by a thin layer of golden aura — the light element he had struggled to control.
He clenched his fists."This time, I'll break it."
He gathered his power and shouted, "Light Burst!" The air trembled, and a wave of radiant force slammed into the boulder — yet it remained untouched.Again.And again.Five times he struck, and five times he failed.
Sweat ran down his face, and frustration burned within him."Why… why can't I do it!?" he roared, slashing at the stone with his claws. The sharp aura carved deep lines across the surface, splitting it slightly.
The lion's voice echoed in his mind, calm yet powerful."Calm down, Tang Xan. Rage clouds your light. But I have an idea — you've already cut it in half. Now, use your aura with pure intent… not just anger."
Tang Xan frowned. "Intent? How?"
The lion's tone darkened."Think of the one who destroyed Tang Wing's parents — the man you swore to surpass. Use that feeling. Let it awaken your will."
Tang Xan froze. "Tang Xan killed Tang Wing's parents… You think that will make me angry?"He closed his eyes. "Fine then. Let's try your way."
He took a deep breath. The aura around him flared brighter, wild and fierce. His eyes glowed white as his energy surged like a storm."HHAAHHHH!"
The boulder shattered into thousands of glowing fragments, scattering through the air like falling stars.
The lion's deep voice boomed with pride."Good… you did it."
But the victory was short-lived.The light inside Tang Xan suddenly went out of control — wild bursts of power erupting from his body. The ground cracked beneath his feet. Trees shattered. Stones exploded into dust. His eyes went blank as he lost control of himself.
"Tang Xan! Stop!" the lion roared. But Tang Xan couldn't hear him. The light had turned violent, burning through everything around him.
Then, with a thunderous roar, the lion's golden aura enveloped him, sealing Tang Xan's uncontrolled power. Silence returned — only the sound of the wind remained.
The lion sighed. "You still don't understand your strength, boy. But soon… you will."
Far away, the great bells of the Frost Land academy rang loudly through the night. The Tournament had begun.
Tang Xan stood, exhausted but determined. "Power testing… the first round."
He clenched his fists. "I'll control it. No matter what."
The cold wind carried his words into the dark sky, as the frost beneath him glowed faintly with lost energy.
