But with that evil Uchiha Madara standing right there, watching, Tobirama figured he'd better let Hashirama keep some dignity… for now.
Ito Hirofumi hadn't expected things to get so serious, only for Hashirama to excitedly pester him to show off his summoning jutsu.

Take Kakashi, the "Copy Ninja," for example. Sure, he's Kage-level, no question about it!
But then you've got Hashirama Senju—also Kage-level. Would Hashirama even need one hand to take down Kakashi?
Or look at later-era Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha—would they even break a sweat against Kakashi?
Point is, there are plenty of Kage-level shinobi out there, but most are only slightly stronger than elite jonin. Kakashi's actually one of the better ones!
Compared to him, some of the other villages' Kage are downright pathetic. Take Chojuro, the Sixth Mizukage—any of the Leaf's future "Konoha 12" could probably mop the floor with him!
That said, it just goes to show how deep the Leaf Village's foundation runs. Even after years of being messed up by the Third Hokage and Danzo, its strength is still nothing to scoff at!
Under Hashirama's curious, sparkling gaze, Hirofumi stood up, ready to perform his summoning jutsu.
This time, Madara wasn't all that interested. Unless it was his brother, Izuna Uchiha, he didn't care who came up next—especially since his biggest concern, Hashirama, was already here.

The soul flame in the center of the array didn't show up!
Madara, watching from a distance, frowned slightly. This was different from the last two summons. Normally, the soul flame would appear the moment the golden array did—so why wasn't it showing up now?
It couldn't be that there were no Kage-level spirits left. That left only one explanation: something was off about this spirit.
If he and Hashirama had been summoned without issue, why was this spirit taking so long?

I mean, sure, I got lucky pulling Madara and Hashirama, but you're not seriously gonna scam me, are you?!"
[Bullshit!] the system snapped back. [You think I'd steal your money?! This soul's just… a bit special, that's all!
Tch! I can't believe the spirit world was hiding this little thing! It didn't show up when I devoured the spirit world before, but now it's making a fuss?!

As the system's voice faded, the golden array on the ground suddenly erupted with light, shooting straight into the sky!

The golden array expanded several times over, its blinding light piercing the heavens. Madara, Tobirama, and Hashirama all tensed, their expressions growing serious.

Then, from the golden array, a massive head began to emerge!

"Kid," he growled, "what the hell did you just summon?!"
Hashirama, staring at the Shinigami, looked dumbfounded. "Is this… one of the Leaf Village's shinobi from the past? I've never seen it before! But man, it looks pretty cool!!!"
