Chapter 49 - Back to Classes

Aizawa was preparing some documents for the upcoming meeting. He had been analyzing all the information he collected on his students, from their capabilities, potential, versatility, combat ability, psychology, and so on.

He still hadn't reached a final decision about a certain water emitter, whose image had gone viral in recent days for toying with a villain's eyeballs in the middle of the street.

The end-of-term practical exams were right around the corner, and Aizawa wasn't sure who among the teachers should face Terumi Mei.

Cementoss would counter both her water and steam well, but the records of the girl's battle with the Nomu showed she could cut concrete easily. Thirteen would be the logical choice, but Aizawa wanted her to face Tetsumaru, as very few teachers can deal with Satetsu.

And it wouldn't make sense to pair the siblings for the exam. They know each other too well; their teamwork would be more than exemplary. That was not what he was looking for here.

He needed to separate them, to see how they worked with their classmates.

He also considered facing her himself. To see how she would manage without her water and, in the process, verify a suspicion: the Quirk of both siblings.

Aizawa reviewed the Terumi siblings' physical aptitude tests. It was too strange.

From day one, he had noticed the duo's superior speed and strength, despite their Quirks being Emitter-type.

Possible explanations had been discussed, such as Tetsumaru always using his sand beneath both of their clothes to move them, or each of them using their Quirk inside their bodies to propel themselves.

But when he, discreetly, erased their Quirks during Physical Education classes, their capabilities did not diminish.

And then there was the matter of Mei's water and steam, as well as the very emission of both Quirks. They didn't make sense, they were endless.

Quirks have limitations, and Emitter-type Quirks depend on something to keep emitting. For Mei, the logical thing would be for her body to dry out and require constant hydration, which was taken into account for the design of the suit that the girl never used.

But that didn't happen with her. She didn't seem to be affected in the slightest, no matter how much water she expelled from her hands.

The same thing happened with Tetsumaru. How did his body generate the sand with a high magnetite content? Why wasn't his diet even based on foods with a high iron content or something? Many questions, no answers.

Suspicions were inevitable. There was a mole at UA, and the Terumi siblings have been stubborn about hiding their abilities from the start.

But Aizawa didn't want to doubt his students.

—This is problematic...— he murmured with a sigh.

—AAACK!! What the hell, Tetsumaru!?— Mineta yelled spitefully when the sacred hole that his well-meaning Senpais left for posterity in the locker rooms was cruelly filled with dark, familiar sand.

—Stop being a pervert. Didn't you learn your lesson with MT. Lady?— the black-haired boy replied with a shrug.

—To hell with that! You can't deny the opportunity this represents for us!— Mineta exclaimed, giving the shinobi a look of betrayal.

—W-what do you mean, Mineta-San?— Midoriya asked clumsily.

—Use your brains, neophytes! On the other side of this wall lies a paradise of unparalleled beauties, a garden of Eden where angels in the flesh gather to give us, mortals, a glimpse of their beautiful figures— explained the small pervert, with the tone of a scholar revealing a great truth.

Meanwhile, in the girls' locker room, everyone was frowning and their expressions flashed with disappointment and disgust. For her part, Mei contemplated a corner of the room, refusing to look more than necessary at these girls

She had to agree with Mineta. These bodies should not belong to mere mortals, but damn it all, she could only avoid thinking about that while her hips were still aching, the result of a wild and crazy night with Tetsumaru in celebration of their reunion.

Just remembering it made her wish for a repeat.

—Hm? Mei, why are you smiling at the wall?— asked Hagakure Toru suddenly, startling the kunoichi.

—Huh!? I-it's nothing. I was just internally thanking Tetsumaru for taking care of that hole— she lied through her teeth, but as soon as she registered the exact words she spoke, her cheeks flushed furiously.

—Ugh, you're right. Good thing he filled it completely— Jiro said while her earphone jacks palpated the solid piece of sand that occupied the entire hole, without noticing Mei's flinch.

 —Well done, Tetsumaru!!— Mina cheered.

—AAAAh, stop it, you crappy brats!!— Mei complained internally, her scream so loud that it echoed in Tetsumaru's mind, breaking the veil that was supposed to prevent their communication for now.

After changing and finishing the day's classes, Tetsumaru separated from his other half to visit Hatsume Mei's workshop. Unfortunately, the girl was nowhere to be found, and the black-haired boy had no choice but to come back another day.

But as he walked down the halls, he ended up bumping into a girl a little older than him, with long blue hair that fell to her legs, almost the same length as Mei's.

Her cheerful expression changed to one of surprise and curiosity upon noticing Tetsumaru's strange Edo Tensei eyes.

The incarnation of the Third Kazekage felt an overwhelming need to turn around and run when the girl suddenly changed her course to face him, although his bored expression did not waver once.

—Hello, nice to meet you. I'm Nejire Hado! What's your name!? What class do you belong to? What's going on with your eyes? Are you sick or are they always like that? Oh, wait, I recognize you! You're that boy who controls sand and who fought against the first-year Festival winner! Isn't that right? Is she your friend? No no! I heard she was your sister. Are you siblings? But her eyes are normal. Why is that? Now that I think about it, you don't look alike at all.

While the girl continued her tirade, Tetsumaru's mind wandered through his memories, trying to connect the girl's name with her appearance. He couldn't place her anywhere, despite having seen many FanArts of her.

Or perhaps he didn't want to.

Tetsumaru didn't remember Nejire as one of the Big Three, nor the fact that she was Mirio's classmate, whom he barely remembered as the little All Might who fought naked.

That was all the information he had on Mirio.

—Can I see your sand!? They say it's strange because it doesn't look like real sand. I also saw it in videos online; it's dark and looks interesting— she continued, genuinely irritating Tetsumaru.

Without warning, he unleashed a wave of Satetsu that enveloped Nejire in a dome, blocking her sight in all directions.

Even as he walked away calmly, he could hear the faint voice of the girl, commenting on how interesting and cool that move was and how it could be useful for catching criminals.

As soon as he felt safe, he dropped the dome and sent the sand flying out the windows, not wanting the annoying girl to track him down and find him again.

Meanwhile, Nejire tilted her head from side to side, noticed that Tetsumaru was gone, and slumped her shoulders in disappointment.

—Ahh... Did I overdo it again?— she muttered to herself, her spirits slightly dampened.
