Chapter 57 - Little Tetsumaru

—I want to see my children! My children!— exclaimed a slender man with dark hair, wearing a suit and tie. His sharp gaze vaguely reminded Aizawa of his problematic student.

The officers tried to calm the agitated subject, but the emotion clearly prevented him from acting rationally. He was a father, after all.

The Hero stepped forward and faced the man.

—Mr. Sasuke, I presume. I am Eraser Head, Aizawa Shota, your children's homeroom teacher at UA. Please, follow me.

Sasuke, the adoptive father of the Terumi siblings, nodded sternly and walked after the disheveled Hero.

—Are they alright? They weren't injured, were they? Why are they detaining my children when they were the ones attacked?— the man asked, a little calmer, but with a resentful attitude.

Aizawa didn't blame him. He probably wasn't aware of Tetsumaru's actions and, in his eyes, this was a truly ridiculous situation.

—Don't worry. Those two came out unharmed. In fact, it was one of the attackers who was seriously injured, and that's why Tetsumaru is here— Aizawa said calmly.

—What do you mean?— the man questioned. —Did you interrogate my children without me present?

—Their statements were taken, but I supervised the process, in the absence of you and your wife. As a Hero and their teacher, I assure you that no line was crossed with the kids.

Sasuke did not reply. They both walked in silence until they arrived at an interrogation room, where an officer who had previously seemed tough and intimidating was under verbal attack from an indignant Terumi Mei.

Both men stared blankly as the girl endlessly scolded the detective. The poor man could only lower his head, his intimidating aura long gone.

—Ahem, I think we should go see Tetsumaru. He's the one being detained, right?— Sasuke suggested, having already been a victim of Mei's verbal stabs in the past, though not the kind she was unleashing now.

Aizawa glanced sideways at the man and made a mental note. Clearly, the temperament of the smiling, sweet girl was fierier than what she showed the outside world.

He had already deduced this from the way she handled the villains at the USJ. Just thinking about it sent chills down the center of his body.

When they found Tetsumaru, Sasuke launched into a sea of questions that the boy answered casually, as was typical of him.

Aizawa silently observed the whole thing. Given the suspicions regarding these two, he decided to gather personal information about the siblings by observing their behavior with the people potentially closest to them.

He didn't learn much.

Tetsumaru remained as indifferent as ever, relating the events exactly as he had told them to Aizawa and the police. He did not regret his actions, claiming it would have been impossible for him to restrain the man otherwise.

Aizawa, despite everything, believed him. He had seen him in action before.

The tests he was subjected to as punishment for his behavior during the USJ attack allowed them to better understand his Quirk's capabilities, as well as the boy's personality.

He was terribly honest.

If he said that had he not been so rough the man would have hurt people, or themselves, then it must be true.

But even his word was not enough to convince the government. After all, rules existed for a reason.

Fortunately, Sasuke merely nodded at the news of Muscular's medical expenses, as well as the damage to the neighborhood houses and the street.

The man understood well how things worked.

Unfair? Perhaps, but if Tetsumaru and Mei were Heroes, part of that expense would be deducted from their salary. As minors, regardless of whether they used their Quirks to defend themselves, the responsibility fell to their parents.

By the end of the day, both kids were released with a warning not to repeat a similar incident, and an extremely boring lecture about the responsible use of their Quirks.

Already in the car, Tetsumaru was sulking in his seat, displeased for many reasons.

First, he had to endure hours of interrogation and endless talks about how bad his actions were. Second, he left his parents with a not-so-small debt just because he made a guy bleed out.

Third and most importantly, his date with Mei was ruined, and now he wasn't going to get what he deserved.

Mei, sensing the bad mood of her other half, something unusual for him, sat closer, snuggling into his shoulder.

—What's wrong, Tetsumaru?— she asked after a moment of silence.

—It's nothing. It just bothers me that we have to shell out money for that guy— he replied.

Mei rubbed against his body, her head resting on Tetsumaru's shoulder and her hand intertwined with his.

—That's not all. Come on, you don't have to hide anything from me— she insisted in a soft tone.

—It's just... Ugh, it's just that our date was ruined. I really wanted to go out with you, Mei— the shinobi exhaled.

—Is that so? But, if you ask me, this day was fun— the kunoichi replied with a smile. — I mean, facing that guy was liberating. Like, I don't know, it just felt good to hit him and burn him. I had a great time, Tetsumaru.

—Really?— Tetsumaru turned to her, his black eyes with yellow pupils shining with excitement.

—Fufufu, really. And don't think I don't know what you were trying to do, my naughty Onii-Chan— Mei laughed in a tone that sent shivers down Tetsumaru's spine.

—Do you like me that much, Tetsumaru? Couldn't you bear the wait any longer?— Mei continued with an increasingly suggestive tone.

Tetsumaru didn't answer. He had been caught red-handed. What was he supposed to say to that?

—Tehee~ Don't worry. Today I felt very stimulated and I want to discharge the rest of my energy with something. I guess I'll do it with you, in bed, tonight— Mei purred while giving a kiss on her other half's cheek.

The couple fell into a comfortable silence, full of subtle affection and caresses.

However, the entire conversation occurred through their bond, so to Sasuke, his children were simply sitting too close together in silence.

He wisely turned a blind eye. He was already used to their strange, silent displays of affection. At some point, he stopped worrying, deciding that his children were smart enough to know what was best for them.

He would support them, no matter what.

Once they arrived home, whose door was destroyed and barely covered by an improvised curtain that Sakura had put up while they were away, the family had another long talk, although not as annoying as the one the shinobi endured at the hands of the police.

In the process, Tetsumaru created a Satetsu door that would hold firm as long as he was within range. Since they didn't have class tomorrow, it was a fair chakra investment.

—Hm, I promise I'll help pay off the debt— Tetsumaru said in a solemn tone.

In response, Sakura slammed a frying pan into his head, which the shinobi didn't dare to dodge. Doing so usually infuriated the woman, forcing Mei to subdue him so she could properly punish him.

—Hmph, stop talking nonsense! You are my son, and my responsibility. You just make sure to get stronger and not cause so much damage next time!— the pink-haired woman expressed.

—Uh, I understand, Mom— Tetsumaru nodded with a slight smile.

Hours later, the shinobi was reflecting on the day's events. Or so he tried.

The truth was that his heart, and another part of his body, were throbbing with expectation, waiting, waiting with increasingly less patience for the arrival of a certain kunoichi.

Finally, a creak of his bedroom door indicated that the time had finally come.

His eyes beheld Mei's figure, barely covered by sheer strips of fabric that allowed a complete and somewhat distorted glimpse of her body.

Blood shifted and the little Tetsumaru woke up completely.

Mei noticed the lump in the sheets and smiled. Knowing that she aroused such emotions in her other half just with her presence filled her with joy.

She climbed onto the bed, straddling him, twisting comfortably in his lap, her arms wrapping around his neck.

Tetsumaru buried his face in Mei's still-growing chest, inhaling her scent of flowers, soap, and skin cream.

However, the intimate moment was interrupted by Tetsumaru's phone.

Mei noticed the constant glow and the rain of messages. At first, she assumed they were his classmates, but her gaze sharpened as soon as she noticed a particular name, responsible for all those notifications.

Thirteen.

Mei suddenly stood up, disconcerting Tetsumaru. She took the phone and saw a bunch of messages from the Heroine asking about her other half.

—What is this, Tetsumaru?— she questioned with a soft tone and a smile that didn't reach her eyes. —Why does Thirteen-Sensei have your number? Since when? And why does she seem so desperate here? She hasn't even asked about my health once.

Tetsumaru blinked, about to give a casual answer about why and when, but a chill ran down his spine as he noticed Mei's unhappy aura.

Before he could evade the question, his phone vibrated in the kunoichi's hands.

Mei answered the incoming call and spoke in a flirtatious tone.

—Hm, Thirteen-Sensei? Is this the time to call a student?

Sweat began to run down the shinobi's forehead.

He saw Mei nod a couple of times and chuckle.

—Hehe, calm down, Sensei. I was going to sleep anyway. Here's Tetsumaru, you can talk all you want. The night is yours— she said in a strange tone and threw the phone at her other half.

The smile disappeared from her lips, her expression blank, as if looking at a corpse. Without saying a word, neither physically nor mentally, she turned and left the room.

That night, there was no party for little Tetsumaru.
