"We need to move. Now." Kade asserted.
"They think we'll chase blindly. That we'll scatter our forces, abandon strategy, make emotional decisions that get people killed." I hauled him to his feet. "They're counting on us being predictable."
"So what do you suggest? We let them take her while we play defense?" Kade asked
"No. We split up. You and Rowan handle the western border. I track Nessa." I met his eyes. "You're the Alpha the pack needs to see. I'm the strategist who works better alone. Let's play to our strengths instead of playing into their hands."
He wanted to argue—I could see it in every line of his body. But he also knew I was right.
"Find her," he said finally. "Whatever it takes."
"Oh, I intend to." I pulled out my phone, already tracking the SUV's route. "And when I find who did this, I'm going to introduce them to some very creative anatomical rearrangements."
